The Rosewill 600 series computer case is a cool customer. Designed with an eye toward heat dissipation, air ducts on the front draw cool air in, and hot air gets shoved out the side and the back. The 600 series is ideal for cooling any system; the front ducts are adjustable, so when less air intake is needed they can be closed keeping dust out. In addition, the front filter traps dust before it can reach the inside of the case. A removable hard drive cage allows for easy installation for multiple hard drives.

The top of the case is designed for optical drives, including sliding rails for an easy install, and when you need to replace an old device, just slide it out and pop in a new one. Next to the power button you will find 2 USB ports and 2 audio ports as well as a flip top to hide them. All that and a 450w power supply and you're set for a great building experience.

3 out of 5 eggsMaybe 2nd Times A Charm?

Pros: 3 120mm fans! Tool free bays to handle my DVD-rom and HDs. A 450W PSU with dual fans for more air flow control. Top exhaust fan to pull out the rising hot air. Side duct for CPU channeled airflow. But.....

Cons: Minus 2 Eggs for the poor condition of the product. Not sure if it's poor packing or handling by the UPS folks. Either way, the front panel was badly cracked (cheap plastic), and all three of the 5 1/4 bay face plates were rattling around inside the case. It looked like it had gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson and didn't fair well.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's customer support rocks and I was able to get an RMA done and in the mail within a day. Building new low end machine for relative for basic everyday use and would like to use this case if it ever arrives in good condition. I am a fan of Rosewill products, but perhaps some of their comp cases are in need of better quality control.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Came with a 450W PS, 3 120mm fans - front USB / HD Audio; not bad for the price!! Bulk of hardware goes in without a problem - plenty of space to route cables and place excess aside for great appearance. IT'S REAL QUIET!!!!!

Cons: The hard disk bay stinks. It nounts to the side; it has holes in it to allow air flow, but still obviously restricts air from blowing under and over the hard disk. The cables can very easily keep the case from closing if you're not careful. --would have given it 5 eggs if it mounted opposite.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this case again - it suited the purpose of a computer build for a friend. Not many cases come with 3 fans for this price; 120MM fans run about 8 bucks a piece. Very good product for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsComputer Case

Pros: none

Cons: This is the worse case i ever bought, everything was a fight to install. Even with 3 120 fans case temp was high at47degrees C necessary to install additional 80mm fan in side panel to bring temp down to 27 degrees C.

Other Thoughts: Spend extra money for a better case even if it is a second or third build like mine was and make it a full tower you will be happy you did like when i bought a Half932.
NEWEGG still rocks when shipping got it in 2 days and no damage

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Nice

Pros: This should be a great case to use for my second build.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This did not come when all my other parts came so I went to a retail store and spent waaaayy too much on a different case. I took the power supply out of this case and used it in a computer that needed it. 450W is probably not enough to crossfire with. You do probably need a 600W power supply or better.

5 out of 5 eggsI use it for ALL my builds

Pros: This case was great before, and now with 2 more fans it's even better. Plenty of room, great cooling, nice look, quality power.

Cons: I'll agree with others on the SATA connectors, though it's not really a big problem. I'd like to see 2 strings of SATA with one string long enough to cover multiple Hard Drives.

Other Thoughts: The front bezel can be victimized by careless shipping, though I haven't had a problem yet that can't be fixed. I'm comforted by Rosewill's presence and responses.
Thanks to Rosewill for the case, and to Newegg for making it easy.

2 out of 5 eggsMajor Disappointment

Pros: I am a big fan of Rosewill products and have purchased many of their quality products, disappointingly this is not one of them. On the positive side, I like the cooling system, and the decent wattage of the power supply. The tool-free kits worked well for my installation.
But this is where my positive indorsement ends.

Cons: 1. The front panel is too flimsy. Every time I accidentally bump the front panels the 5.25 drive panels fall off requiring me to remove the from panel and put it back in place. This is more than a nuisance.

2. Also I had to remove the 5.25 drive panel which covers my DVD burner because the panel completely covers my drive eject button, thereby altering the uniformity of appearance of the case.

3. The 450 power fan power cords have too few connectors, and the cords do not reach PATA hard drives. Longer cords or at least one extension cord should be included to power multiple hard drives. After paying the price the company asked I feel it is ridiculous that the power cords don't reach and I have to buy a molex extension cord.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased many products from Newegg, which I use almost exclusively due to their superior service and great prices, but this is the first time I feel ripped off.

It would have added insult to injury to have pay to return the case so I'm stuck.

This is my third Rosewill case and probably my last. I'm saddened the company I equated with quality let me down. DO NOT BUY THIS CASE.

5 out of 5 eggsReal Quality

Pros: Very nice case. Suprised at how sturdy it was. Most cheap cases are like shrap metal. Good quality power supply too.

Cons: The front vents are a little cheesy, but more a visual thing than a con. The power supply on had one strand of SATA power connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the Money

Pros: Good price for the case. 120MM fan with provisions for both 80MM and 120MM fans, multiple screens for filtering. Good power supply.

Cons: Case doors for 5.25 drives can fall off. This case may have issues with the LARGER vid cards.

Other Thoughts: If doing a budget build this is a GREAT CASE! If you are doing a gaming build or performance build, I would recommend a better case.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The case is large. The fans are quiet enough for the media room.
