One might say that a case is just a case, and that the heart of your computer is what goes inside, but that's giving short shrift to this versatile and strong case from Rosewill. The Black R5605 is built of 0.8mm Japanese cold rolled steel, with enough room for all the goodies to build a killer system.
With four external 5.25", one external 3.5" and five internal 3.5" bays and a rousing seven expansion slots, you can create a monster! Two 120mm fans, front and rear, direct outer air across your components to keep you cool in the hottest action, and easy clean filters in the front and left minimize dust fouling up the delicate works.
Inserting items in the case is both easy and safe, thanks to rolled edges, sliding rails, and a screwless assembly. There’s no scraping your knuckles here! Unique attention to detail provides you with a stable platform and a case that’ll be the envy of any other modder out there!
Pros: (1) Looks sharp and sleek, (2) easy to reach external power button and usb/audio connectors, (3) filtered airflow through front and cpu vents, (4) includes two fairly-quiet 120mm fans, (5) holds 4 HDs internally, (6) easy to work with the components on inside of case, (7) 0.8mm steel exterior, (8) "accessory box" for stashing unused parts on computers with only 1 or 2 PCs, (9) lightweight, (10) front door opens 250 degrees, (11) excellent price, (12) excellent expandability while maintaining a mini-tower size, (13) no PSU included, so you can get a very-quiet, affordable, and reliable Coolmax V-500
Cons: When the case is on a floor next to a desk, the 3.5" drive is so close to the top of the door that it is entirely invisible from a normal sitting position. It's nice that it's high up, where it should be for cardreaders, but you can't see the slots unless you bend way over. Of course, you could use a 5.25"-3.5" adaptor and just put your cardreader in the first 5.25" slot, as there is four of them. It's perfect for floppy drives, though, as nobody uses them anymore. Also, the front and rear 120mm fans have only 3-pin connectors. (Hope that your motherboard has two connectors!) Hopefully Rosewill will include a 3-4 pin adapter in their next revision.
Other Thoughts: I was going to buy the Antec Sonata III, but it is very pricey. So I found this one, and would nearly choose it over the Antec anyway. This case is perfect for both the average business/home user or the power user, as it has plenty of room in it while still maintaining a small mini-tower case size. Rosewill removed the support brace commonly placed below the power supply, but the 0.8mm steel still maintains case rigity, and consequently the case is both lighter and easier to work inside of. For people with only one (or two) HDs, the accessory box is a brilliant idea and is perfect for stashing all of the extra HD rails and etc that you otherwise lose. Note that although the 5.25" bays are on sliding rails, you must remove the front cover to access the bays (vs. sacrificing styling). The included 120mm fans are fairly quiet. Also, the front of the case and cpu vent have filters on them, although you have to remove the front cover to remove the front filter -- with difficulty.

Almost as good as Sonata II

Pros: Two 120mm Case fans. Easy to use snap off front plate. Good airflow. The power buttons and usb are in a very easy place for my application. Firewire support.
Cons: No reset switch (no big deal really) This case includes a mini toolbox that looks cool and is a neat idea - but it blocks the airflow of the case if you leave it in - so just take it out.
Other Thoughts: A great all around solidly build case. The side lock is very rugged and the front door locks as well. For the price I'm very happy.

Pros: Did what I needed it to do. Able to store my 5 drives for my Raid Array and Backup Drive. 2 Case fans. Easy to install CD drive and Hard Drives. Liked the fact I didn't have to install standoffs for my MB, they are built in.
Cons: Have to remember there are no screws in the drives if and when I pull them when they go bad. 3 years from now I may forget.

Pros: top switch, top USB ports, two 120mm fans, two filters, side vents for cpu and video card, drive bay door to hide mismatched optical drives, no led sizzle lights everywhere, no logo name on display. Chassis Air guide - adjustable tube on side panel for CPU air. Nice labels on connectors. Cute accessories box. Deep enough that hard drive connectors can be straight out or 90 degree. Fan holders are screw-less mount. Swing door is double hinged which is slightly awkward at first but once you use the drive a few times you'll like how it lets the drive door get out of the way near the side of the case. Top USB ports keep cables out of the way of drive doors.
Cons: Front USB ports can crash some systems including my Gigabyte mobo, I've seen this posted before. - minus one egg. Rosewill has not responded to my email about this - minus another egg. (two weeks no reply) I do not like screw-less optical drive rails. First DVD drive I followed their instructions and pushed the rail into the screw hole. I worry the flange pushing in damages the threads for use elsewhere. Better to bend the flanges back flat and use screws (center hole). Manual is for 5600 series, this 5605 has two fans, book says one, front slots not louvered as in the book. I also used screws for the hard drives rather than the supplied push pins. HINT: Per another post replace the right side panel phillips head screws with thumb screws and remove the right panel to get to tabs needed to remove the front cover section. If you only release the tabs on the left and jerk the cover off you can break the tabs on the right. Remove front to clean filter or to install CD drives.
Other Thoughts: I was initially disappointed by how loud the system was. Case fans are almost all the noise. Motherboard controls the fans' speed. Researched fans Jamicon KF1225H1LSAR on Jamicon.com Noise level is average for fans NewEgg sells. Still I bought a SFF21D, at 800 rpm and only 8dB. Front USB ports are a problem for my system. System can crash by just connecting a USB device to front panel, never crashes with back panel. Gigabyte motherboard GA-MA790GPT-UD3H drops display so I have to power cycle. I can prevent this by first touching the USB device's plug to the case cover lock for more than five seconds. This releases imperceptible static discharge and/or charges the USB device to match from front panel's "ground". Then it connects without crashing. Also connect USB device before booting and there is no problem. Another customer thought the crashes were due to the front panel not being grounded. I think the crashes are caused by the capacitor in the front panel board.

Pros: Price. Looks. USB and sound ports easily accessable on front top of case.
Cons: Had a small bit of trouble getting the power supply screw holes lined up with the case holes. Had to toss the bracket that is supposed to hold in PCI cards. Just using screws to keep them in place worked much better.
