2 out of 5 eggsAddendum to original review

Pros: It's a case

Cons: It's not a great case

Other Thoughts: My original review has not yet posted but I wanted to add a correction for my mistake. I was tired & am, for all intents & purposes, blind in my left eye due to a detached retina. I'll have it repaired but I have to get these 2 PCs delivered first.

Anyway, I erroneously referred to a missing part as a "CPU shroud" when what I meant to say was "air duct". Rosewill explicitly refers to "adjusting the length of the duct" despite not including one with the case. Nice job, Rosewill!! Either that or it got cannibalized by Newegg to replace one missing in yet another case. Neither would really surprise me.

Anyway, as I originally mentioned, I have used RW cases in dozens of budget builds but this experience really has put a bad taste in my mouth both for Rosewill & Newegg. The lowest price or availability doesn't mean squat if parts are excluded.

Just something to think about before you buy.

3 out of 5 eggsRW has one downhill

Pros: Nice looking case; good fit & finish; decent documentation; enough hardware included; at least this case had a system fan

Cons: No CPU shroud included; front panel is a little squirrelly

Other Thoughts: I've used Rosewill brand cases for dozens of budget builds & I've always been pretty happy with their products. This case, although very attractive with the glossy black finish, is a pretty emphatic statement how Rosewill has gone downhill in the last couple of years.

I've *never* received a Rosewill case that didn't have a CPU shroud. This is a first.

And while the pop-off front panel is a novel idea for mounting the 3.5" & 5.25" drives, the front panel just never seems to really be solidly attached.

If this were a more substantial build, I'd send this thing back in a heartbeat. As it is, I have to get this PC in place and running ASAP so I don't have time to go through a lengthy swap-out process.

I feel kind of let down by both Rosewill & Newegg on this order.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case for budget build!

Pros: Honestly, I bought this case more as a personal experiment to build a linux-based PC with leftover old parts (Core 2 Duo E6700, DDR2 RAM, etc...). I needed a cheap case, ideally with integrated PSU, with little hassle to get it up and running. Boy did this case deliver!
Strong points:
- Well packaged: usual styrofoam, but every panel was well protected with plastifilm shielding to prevents scratches/fingerprints during packagind/delivery.
- Looks and is actually very solid. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews concerning panel/build quality: this is a solid case, with material/craftmanship I would expect from a 60-100$ case, not a sub-50$ case (bought on rebate) with an integrated PSU!
- For a small form case, very easy to work in; wiring, PSU location and HDD cages are all well placed and nothing gets in the way.
- Integrated PSU, while fragile-looking, delivers the goods up to now.
- HDD cage is easy to slide in/out and helps facilitate HDD installation tremendously.
- Runs cool: with only the supplied rear fan, PSU fan and CPU/GPU fans, runs below 40C on a hot summer day on idle.
- Surprising for budget case: it looks great! Much better looking in person than in the Newegg pictures; front LED is a nice bright blue.
- Thumbscrews! Had to say it, since I've already gotten high end gaming cases that lacked them.

All in all, a tremendous value for anyone looking for a budget build, and even a mid-gaming build if the PSU is replaced (400W is slightly limitating GPU-wise).
I would definitely buy it again, and would strongly recommend it to friends and family.

For anyone it might help, I'm currently running a factory overclocked Nvidia GTX550ti with the integrated PSU without any issues.

Cons: Of course, there always are a few cons, especially when it comes to budget PC cases:

- PSU does not include a PCI 6-Pin or 8-Pin connector! it's my fault, I should have done further research, but I simply used a twin molex 4 pin to PCI 6 pin adapter to use my Nvidia GTX 550ti.
- It's true: while great looking, the glossy finish is a fingerprints magnet, if you must manipulate it, it will have smudgy fingerprints very quickly.
- And the hidden danger: the PSU looks a little.... cheap. No fan filter, no dust filter, it just looks like it won't last, but for now it works perfectly.

But that's it. Regardless of these cons, I still strongly recommend it.

Other Thoughts: This is my first budget build PC case, I usually work with higher-end cases, and I am mightily impressed with it. The price/quality/value ratio on this case is great, especially if you get it on special.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good, but quite large for a "Micro" ATX case.

Pros: Great paint finish, sturdy, and has a really cool blue led power button. I'm really liking the front panel: when you open your dvd drive, it flips the cover down. Pretty cool. Seems plenty big enough to fit my video card in there.

Cons: Well, not really a con, but..... I should have been more careful doing research. I was under the impression that this would be a micro atx case. Sure, it's not the same size as a mid-tower, but barely. It's quite bit, I had planned on putting it on top of my desk, but due to the size, I had to relocate to the floor. Minor inconvenience, but I really thought it would be much smaller than it is.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm pretty happy with the case. It's sturdy, it has plenty of space so the cables don't get tangled up in inside.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget case

Pros: Lots of room inside
Power supply has had no issues
Well ventilated

Cons: The ultra high gloss finish, while pretty, is an absolute fingerprint and dust magnet. Not enough to dock it an egg in my rating, but almost.

Other Thoughts: Great cheap case for my first build. Everything is easy to access. Would definitely recommend to others for a non-gaming pc(the power supply works for me but likely wouldn't be enough in that scenario). No complaints as far as function, just the high gloss comes at a price.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Holds your hardware. Spacious.

Cons: Quick-release mounting system for 5/25" bays requires special screws. Only a small number of these screws are provided. If you are lucky, they are the correct thread pitch for your hardware.

4 out of 5 eggsClean, Cheap, has psu...

Pros: very clean looking case, simple and classy. gets wifey stamp-of-approval (big points). mounting and installation is pretty straightforward if you're used to old-style cases, both side panels come off (big plus), front drives are hidden behind door, which works with LG blu ray player no issues

Cons: gets HOT. and i mean HOT. but mostly my fault because im overclocking everything and using a stock cooler at the moment. definitely did not get hot when using it under normal gaming/normal specs.

Other Thoughts: people have issues with the front face popping off? just stop moving it around. this is definitely an office computer case, not something to be carried to lan parties etc

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks good.
Spacious.
PSU doesn't seem like a paper weight.
Relatively quiet.

Cons: Case has the room for a front fan if they moved the power button up some more.
Could be that i threw an old drive in there, but the 5.25 bays must not seat perfectly as my dvd drive just rattled horrendously. again, this could be the drive itself however.

Other Thoughts: All in all, a nice case/psu combo. I would buy again for another build.
