1 out of 5 eggsDecent case with major flaw

Pros: The amount of fans this case is capable of holding is quite substantial. I've had zero problems with keeping some very flimsy heatsinks cool.

There's also plenty of space to work with.

Cons: I purchased this case with Rosewill's RSV-R26LX rails. The case does not slide all the way back because it is hitting the mounting brackets for the handles. The handles now stick out just far enough (about half an inch) to keep me from closing the rack's door.

Other Thoughts: Does this case come with lower profile handles? I won't be happy if I have to pull the handles / front cover off to make this fit the rack. I'll be more then happy to change the rating if I can find a work around...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: I was able to stuff my entire gaming rig into this case (including a tower cpu cooler and a GTX 970 GPU) with out much of a hassle. Very sturdy and has tons of storage options along the front.

Cons: First off, it appears that there is a complete lack of cable management with-in the case. Also, to access the HDD bays, the three cooling fans running along the middle of the case must be removed, still an easy task. Finally, I have replaced nearly every fan that came included with this case, I was not satisfied with their airflow and their molex connectors were simply garbage.

Other Thoughts: Great case overall, with very sufficient cooling so far a I can tell. Only took about 45 minutes to transfer my pc from my old case to this one. Wish it had a 120mm fan on the rear...

2 out of 5 eggsWish it was better.

Pros: For the prices the spaces and a rackmount that is sturdy.

Cons: The hdd tray are awfull in every possible way.
Fan molex connectors were bend when they came in.

Awfull fans
Gonna need to order fans

Other Thoughts: Wish i didnt throw away a few months ago my old molex fans from a Server tower i had at least they were easy to connect and not bend already.

Ordered it but was waiting for other parts to come in when they did and opened the case to see the awfull connector the 30day return warranty was already done.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Well built, not flimsy
Amount of metal for the price is on par with other cases
Lots of fans

Cons: Attention to detail is poor
5.25" covers and drive bay mounting is TERRIBLE
3.5" HDD "toolless" trays are also HORRIBLE
Manual doesn't show which pin is positive for the front panel headers
You have to remove 4 screws to get the lid off
You have to remove the entire drive cage, unplug all the drives, AND the drive fan, just to add or remove a drive.

Other Thoughts: I really didn't like the drive bay mounts, and the drive cage
The cage on the left didn't lock properly.
The plastic hard drive bay mounts with metal pins wouldn't fit in the screw holes of my hard drives, this made the pins crooked and they wouldn't fit into the drive cage. It's probably the worse design i've seen.

I had to remove the pins and just screw the drives in manually instead. And even then the tool-less mount is crooked and flexed.

5 out of 5 eggsCase is great

Pros: Great case. Have 4 of them in a rack set.

Cons: "Ordering"!!!!
Be aware that when you order from newegg they will split your order into multiple orders. They will also use multiple carriers to get your products to you. Certain items on this order were shipped through DHL and DHL ten ships the package through USPS. This is the second time having this issue and having to file a claim because the hand off between newgg-DHL-USPS is just terrible.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased many things from newegg in the past. But in the last year or so have stowed ordering from them because last few orders have been completely botch when it comes to shipping. Im tired of waiting 20 to 30 days to get products that should have been here in 5 days.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the money

Pros: This is a great case for the money. I mounted it in a trip-lite 1/2 rack and it fit wonderfully. The drive bays are a little difficult to work with, but honestly, how often are you going to swap out the drives? The case also feels pretty sturdy to me, especially after you mount it in a server rack.

Cons: The drive bays could be a little easier to work with, and the edges could be rolled, but otherwise you get a really nice server case for the money. I hope Rosewill keeps making them.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've recently bought another one of Rosewill's RSV's cases (RSV-L4412) and I thought that this one couldn't hurt.
Honestly, if I had to buy anything, I'd probably buy this case again.

Pros is that there are tons of fans..
Something I didn't realize when I reviewed the RSV-L4412 is that the case is somewhat modular. You can take off the front parts and replace them with "Rosewill's RSV-Sata-Cage-34"
Kinda a pain, but I feel like it's cheap enough and good enough quality that it doesn't matter.
Some reviews called the case to be cheap, and made with thin metal, but I find it to be of good quality, and it even has a metal reinforcement that braces it pretty well.

Cons: Oh, Cons...
I find the internal bays to be really frustrating and cheap. At one point, I thought I was going to break the 'easily snap-on' bay, and I wish that you didn't have to remove the entire bay just to add or remove a single hard drive.
Every fan is powered via Molex, which is odd to me, and I found most of the molex's to be bent, and hard to bend back. The two fans in the front didn't have a long enough cable, so I couldn't even properly plug them in.
The three fans in the middle of the case makes cables hard, but barely do-able still.
Biggest thing that I would change is connect all of the internal molexes so there only one female/male... That would solve a LOT of frustration trying to get everything connected.

5 out of 5 eggsNice BIG rack case

Pros: This rack is very solid and well built. I bought this because the old server rack I was using just wasn't getting enough airflow across my motherboard and GPU, causing a lot of heat buildup which caused the system to crash and reset every so often. No problems with heat anymore, my GPU runs 10C cooler with all the fans in this thing keeping my system happy. The case is very sturdy and has no perceptible sag to it despite only being supported by the front rack ears.

I did not have any issues with the plastic hard drive mounts.

Did I mention it this chassis moves a lot of air?

Cons: The adapter mounts included for the front 5.25" bays is the worst mounting scheme I have ever used for mounting components. Installing my DVD ROM and my fan controller were by far the most difficult part of the system setup. Even after you get the components installed with the included hardware you can push and pull them around in their respective bays; THEY ARE NOT SECURE. With all the trouble I had with these I am at a loss why Rosewill simply didn't offer drilled out holes in the sides of the drive bays for actually screwing the components in; you know make it so you can actually mount your components SECURELY. Even if it meant removing the entire drive bay to install the components it would have been 10 times faster than fighting with those flimsy metal tabs they included with the chassis.

That said, I'm not knocking an egg off because the non-secure nature of the mounts allowed me to push back on my fan controller and recess it (control knobs on the controller sit proud) so that I can close and lock the chassis without having interference issues with the front door. This will work temporarily while I fabricate new side panels for the 5.25" drive bay with actual drilled out holes for actual secure mounting

Other Thoughts: This case is HUGE. I cannot attach the rear door of my portable rack now (I needed an excuse to get a new road case anyway). Not going to fault Rosewill, the dimensions are clearly posted on the product spec, just know that this thing is quite large.

This chassis is being used for my home PC that I like to game on. I like rack mount chassis because I like how tidy things look in a rack vs having an explosion of wires coming out of a standard case on the floor. I'm also REALLY over the gaudy LED obsession so many case makers keep pushing. If it doesn't contribute to actual gains in performance it just introduces new avenues for failure IMO. Maybe if I was 15 years old again I'd think having a bazillion bright LEDS in my rig would be of some benefit.

I cannot comment on the included fans: I ordered 5 SilenX EFX-12-15 120mm and 2 SilenX EFX-08-15 80mm to run in the case instead of the included stock fans. I use my rack for recording and keeping things QUIET is a big deal for me. I'm still keeping the original fans, they seem decent quality and will find themselves getting integrated into other less noise sensitive builds.

If you've ever wondered if you can put a gaming rig into a server chassis, the answer is YES.

4 out of 5 eggsOk

Pros: Amazing cooling options, filtered front panel, $80 piece of heavy steel. Can accommodate SSI EEB-sized mobos no problem.

Cons: Something I like to call "Rosewill quality". In about 3 of the 30-something cases I've used in builds already, there were slips through QA.

In the first one, the front panel had TWO reset switch headers with the same colored wires and labels. So I had to determine which one is power and which is reset by trial and error.

In the second slip-up, the wires for D+ and 5V (red and green) on the USB headers were SWITCHED. It's an easy fix but a mistake on Rosewill's part nonetheless.

The last defect I've come across this afternoon was a bent IO shield holder (back panel). It was bent in such a way that the IO shield would not fit properly into it (the IO shield had square angles, while the Rosewill case was skewed).

That's 3/30 that I've built so far, which is a decent 10% failure rate, but this cannot continue to happen. It hurts productivity and costs us money to replace or return.

Other Thoughts: I'm turning the third defective case into a coffee table or a wall-mounted bookshelf. Because Rosewill quality.
