4 out of 5 eggsReally like it

Pros: Compact, sleek and beautiful design, well built

Cons: Not many. Could use a bottom dust filter, slightly thicker aluminum on the back and better hdd placement though with the size I can see how that would be tough.

Other Thoughts: Running an entry level workstation in this little case (and I mean little!), dual booting OSX with Windows.

Intel Core i7-4790 4.0ghz

5 out of 5 eggsBets Mini ITX case I've ever owned

Pros: Simple, elegant design. Easy to build in. Brushed aluminum construction makes it sturdy but extremely light.

I'm sick and tired of risking a hernia every time I need to work on (or even move) my huge steel tower cases. I'm done with that for good. I want small and light now, and the U2 is perfect for my needs!

Cons: None. I've purchased three of these so far, two for my own use, and one for a build for someone else. I also have the U3 (micro ATX) model that I used to build my gaming system.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why reviewer Kevin M. is having problems. The SATA data and power cables are the same and I have absolutely no trouble connecting the SSD (mounted at the bottom of the case) or the hard disk drive (mounted in the cute little drive cage on the inside-front of the case.

For bottom-mounted drives, I suggest not tightening the mounting screws too tightly, as the soft rubber grommets will smash down too far, and perhaps that is why he is having difficulty attaching his connectors.

Finally, as with the U3 (micro ATX) model, this case comes with a small fan-speed-control switch attached to a three-pin connector inside the case along with a (long) four-pin Molex connector for power. I just removed it entirely, as the stock case fan is quiet and can connect directly to the motherboard. There is no need for the extra cable clutter.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a well thought out design

Pros: Nice looks

Cons: Bad design on drive mounting points.... almost impossible to cable up power on bottom mounted SATA drives as the drives are mounted flat to the casing. If the power cable has wires out the side (which is common), they won't fit, same for right-angled SATA cables. The rear fan is poor quality, blade doesn't spin true and started making a ticking sound within a few hours of use. It's also some sharp edges so wearing gloves will keep your hands from being sliced up. Lower case spacing is limited, if you use a double-slot video card, you can't use a 3.5" drive on the bottom mounting.

Other Thoughts: The rear 2-speed fan switch is tacky and adds to the cable mess.

5 out of 5 eggsNearly Perfect ITX Case

Pros: High quality brushed aluminum finish with a minimalist classic design. This case has all the necessary room and layout for a truly modern and minimalist computer build. The case can support full ATX power supplies, full size graphics cards, and keeps the power supply from blocking motherboard access or a decent air cooler (which EVERY other mini-ITX case can’t get right!). Attention to detail, such as the power supply support or rubber grommets for the case screws. Oh, and the computer feet look great too!

Cons: The Achilles heel of this case is the hard drive and SSD mounts. The reason for this is not necessarily the case itself, but that the cables that have to attach to the drives are not given enough room to connect to the physical drive ports such as the SATA data connection and in particular the SATA power connector. Because the drives are mounted directly to the case (with the ports down) and are flush, if the cable has any thickness to it, or the cable has two leads (like the middle connector on many SATA power cables), you risk breaking the drive connectors or at least feel uneasy about how much force must be used to connect to the drives. This is true of the two bottom drive bays.

In my experience the edges on the case gave me no risk of cutting myself, but mistakes happen when they smooth the aluminum edges. I personally found the aluminum thickness wonderfully adequate and better than most Lian Li designs.

Also, I would have preferred that they had made the case with less unnecessary holes as I prefer to create positive pressure within to eliminate dust inside the case.

Other Thoughts: This case is a modern spin on a classic case design. It is the only ITX case with a top mounted full-size PSU and a traditional motherboard size mount. If that is what you are looking for, then this case is for you. Also, Rosewill merely re-branded this case as their own and it, as well as similar itx cases, can be found under the Jonsbo brand.

Also, I personally love the high motherboard standoffs as it provides excellent room (if you have the patience) to route the cables under the motherboard which can drastically clean up the look inside the case.

Note: I am not a verified owner of this product as I purchased from that A to Z company you *might* have heard about.

5 out of 5 eggsCool

Pros: Very small and space efficient, yet with a lot of interior space. I could fit in a full size gfx card if I wanted.

Cons: I cut myself on it, but that's more of a pro as it shows how well it was made

Other Thoughts: I have two 2.5" WD RED drives mounted at the bottom, and they're kept cool and probably safe as the case came with rubber grommets.

I'm using the stock fan which is quiet enough.

Rosewill isn't the brand who makes this case. It's some other brand, but I can't remember the name. If you buy from them directly, it also comes in red and other colors.

4 out of 5 eggsWell Built

Pros: Nice design, good construction, no sharp edges, and very easy inside layout. There is good ventilation inside the case and plenty of hard drive mounting locations 2.5 or 3.5 inch. Rear exhaust fan can be replaced with a single fan water cooling kit as well if needed. Standard PSU can be mounted. Double back plate opening for GPU is a nice touch for double size cards.

Cons: Aluminum is not quite as thick as some higher priced items but for this price it's ok. No location for proper air intake fan, but one can be mounted near the front if needed but no proper air channel. There is much wasted space within the case, the motherboard sits too high on stand offs. Power supply should of been placed near the bottom to give more stability. Standard PSU can be mounted but for this size of case it should of been a Micro or SFX psu so more size can be trimmed off.

Other Thoughts: There is not much cons to this product a very nice design minimalistic and mature. The concern mostly is that there is space that can be trimmed off from the wasted height of the standoffs to placement of PSU, overall it's a good case.
