The Logisys CS888 will leave nothing to the imagination, and that's just how you’ll like it. Front to back, this mid-sized tower is made of clear acrylic to show off the powerful system inside without distractions. In order to have a powerful system worth showing though, this case gives you the room you need to make it.

It started with four 5.25" external optical drive bays, and, remembering their importance, made room for two 3.5" external bays for fan controls, card readers, or anything else desired. Internally, which is now out for anyone to see, the power of six hard drives is provided for.

From there, it included enough cooling power of three 80mm fans. One is placed as an intake fan up front, and the other two are placed on top and in the back for the much needed exhaust. The combined power of these three fans allow for a near constant breeze over all of your sensitive hardware. The choice of your next case is clear.

  • newegg Transparent Shell The completely transparent and clear acrylic LOGISYS CS888CL case provides a direct view of the inner system, perfect for a dazzling showcase of LED illumination.
  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 12 Drive Bays Boasting four external 5.25" drive bays, two external and up to six internal 3.5” drive bays, the LOGISYS CS888CL provides superb expandability.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Clear Comes with a nice set of blue Led fans

Cons: Had one bad front USB
Have to be carful its not the strongest plexi around. But hey its a clear already made case

Other Thoughts: Cables you can always use a self stick zip tie block to keep them neat> no real problems for the price its a great case heck the cost of plexi alone would have cost me more to build it myself

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Very cool looking, comes pre-assembled

Cons: This case has many screws, so it can be annoying do things like get the case open and put drives in.

Other Thoughts: Very good case for the money, looks really cool, the screws can be annoying but they are defiantly necessary.

5 out of 5 eggsCase modding is fun!

Pros: Sturdy quality, sharply clear and pretty. The material takes a glass paint nicely with an effect like cathedral glass. The fans also take painting well and look glassy and pretty. I did them in orange. The blueness plays off the orange lights I'm installing an imparts a very interesting effect. I plan to paint translucent manga art of the case as well.

Cons: I got the UV blue one rather than the clear one I ordered, but I kept it because it's quite nice and changed my plans, making this an art project. The fans do not have their own lights, but since I'm planning an orange theme, I'm installing orange lights in the fans anyway.

Other Thoughts: This project has made me think about internal cable management, because now aesthetics matter, and the lights show everything. It has occurred to me that the PSU cable sleeves look like iridescent scales, so I thought about dressing up unused cable connectors with snake heads.

5 out of 5 eggsEye candy.

Pros: Clear and silver acrylic case.
Silver/steel is on the front for the fan, adds a little UMPH.
Front and important parts are VERY thick acrylic.

Cons: I know their necessary, but screws... lots and LOTS of screws.

Other Thoughts: When you put your piece together and want to screw down your drives internally make sure you put those in first... the right panel (screws) is directly connected to the motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so great

Pros: I built it myself and it's looking good and running a great power PC for game development. I installed all the fans and it's quiet! Very quiet! it looks great with my modular (multi lighted) power supply, and lighted CPU fan.

Cons: I'm not afraid of using a screw driver, but I noticed some people complaining that it takes lots of screws. I don't have any problems at all with this case PLUS it's quiet.

Other Thoughts: If you want your PC to look good, this'll do it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I actually purchased my first Logisys Acrylic case from a local computer shop three years ago. I installed a Logisys clear power supply in it. I built it for my son. It still looks awesome and runs perfect. To the complainers and negative reviewers (too many screws, etc.)... get a life. If you know what you are doing and you aren't too freakin' lazy to turn a few screws, this is an excellent case, albeit, a bit of a novelty.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Pair this up with a clear Logisys or Apevia power supply and you will absolutely love it!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat See Through Case

Pros: I built a computer for my brother & sister inlaw, they loved this computer, loved the looks and the way it came out. Ran some of the wires under the mobo, just enough room to do so. Fans are not loud and if you are building a new computer and dont require the big fans and alot of room then this is a good case.

Cons: If you are building a gaming computer I would not suggest this case at all, it may seem cool being clear and all but you will be HIGHLY limited on fan capabilities and forget water cooling or even a Corsair H series water cooling.

Other Thoughts: Over all great case for personal use, GREAT if you have a shop and just have a computer for your register or something like that, very easy to show customers the parts that work the computer and where there problem is. You'll love to show off this computer thats for sure!

2 out of 5 eggsBad design, no manual

Pros: it's clear, it holds your computer together

Cons: No manual! Hard drive bays are annoying, could only install one side, so I had to put the hard drive on the bottom bay.

Other Thoughts: If the bays were better, and a manual was included it would have been a lot easier and better.

1 out of 5 eggsSexy, but it's just superficial. Don't do it.

Pros: The pros of this case are few. I bought it because I was super proud I had built a computer and wanted to show off all the components and have it glow. This case does that perfectly, but the pros end here.

Cons: To prevent eyestrain, here are my short complaints, read on for more description.

1) Too many case screws makes it difficult to get in and out of the case.

2) No cord management leads to messy-looking cords all over the place.

3) Hard drive bays don't come with long enough screws, hard drives are permanently installed in the bays. Bays face the mobo, making it a delicate procedure to get them out.

4) Acrylic is easily scratched or buffed, making it foggy and not as nice and see through anymore.

Expanded review:

1) CASE SCREWS As soon as the dust starts to collect, you're going to be sorry. Not really for the dust making your computer look dirty, but because this thing is so difficult to take apart. I have since upgraded to a case whose side panels come off with two thumb screws and I am SO much happier. This one, if you want to get into the case to move something, add something, clean it, etc, you have to take out seven or eight screws. And you'll need a screwdriver to do that!

2) CORD MANAGEMENT Sure, you got a sexy computer, but with nowhere to put the cables (out of sight behind the mobo panel in my new case, for instance) they look all cluttered unless you go crazy with zip ties.

3) HARD DRIVE BAY I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to install my hard drives because there weren't screws long enough. And there's that word again..."Screws". That's right, there's no temporary hard drive bay like in the better cases (ones with sliders that just pop into the holes in the drives), you have to screw your hard drives right in there. Andon BOTH sides, which means if you want to get in to them, you now have to unscrew SIXTEEN SCREWS to get BOTH side panels off, then FOUR MORE to get one hard drive out! AUGH! Also, when I put the CD drive in the top of the bay, the acrylic wouldn't fit into the screws in the top of the case, so I had to leave the hard drive bay support unscrewed in places.

4) EASY TO SCRATCH even if you just lay it on its side and scoot it on some soft-looking carpet.

Overall, this case is pretty for a little while, but a huge pain in the long run. Go get a case that has a window in the side panel (there are lots of those) and with removable hard drive clips (in a side facing, not rear facing, hard drive bay) and a nice rear panel to do cord management with. And thumb screws (two per panel) instead of eight screws.

Other Thoughts: I know it's sexy, but there are some hawt (and PRACTICAL) gaming cases with windows. Get one of those.

3 out of 5 eggsDifferent Model, but same thing

Pros: Very Cool Looking (still can't get over the transparent factor)

Cons: the acrylic bends - see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I install a aftermarket cpu cooler and I notice a slight bend (like a cm bend inward). Very small and occurs in a isolated area but this freaks me out a bit

I love the case but next time I'd pay more and get those cool (steel) $100 eye-candy cases
