4 out of 5 eggsGreat product for the price point, good looking

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Price, looks, features like rubber grommets for clean cabling.

Cons: Lack of detailed instructions for the fan control wiring, and wiring in general. Not the best fan set up for
cooling your system. Claims it has room for dual fan hydro cooler on top, if its a small one perhaps. I installed a Corsair 100iv2, but it was a custom fit to say the least.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend the case for the price point.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent case for thew money

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - This case has allot of room to work with
- The airflow is very good. case stays very cool. I had planned on getting liquid cooling but as of right now there is no need
- delivered fast
- Hard drives are easy to install. the trays provided are tooless for 3.5 drives and also have holes for 2.5 drives
- I have seen some reviews that the trays are flimsy. I don't think they are that bad. I could see them breaking if you constantly pull them, but how often do you really need to do that.
- Sata Drive connection on top is also a plus.
- the 5.25 bays are also tooless for instaling your cd burners or other such peripherals

Cons: - I keep mine on my desk. so the location of the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports are somewhat inconvenient at times but that's because of my cases location.
- It would have been nice if the Sata Drive connection on the top was hot swap. I have to shut down if I want to connect anything to it. However I am sure that I could fix that with a PCI card or maybe even in BIOS if I wasn't to lazy to check
**UPDATE**- My laziness ended and I was able to make it hot swap in Bios
- cable management could be better as the space on the backside of the motherboard is tight.
- I don't use the fan controller built into the case as it causes my system to halt when I change fan speeds. not sure why. not a big deal though since I bought a 5.25 bay installed controller anyway. but I did take away an egg for it.

Other Thoughts: - overall I think it's a great case. the issues it does have are small for the most part except for the fan control issue.
- the case works well for me and was easy to work with.
- there are plenty of hard drive slots to allow me for many additional drives besides the 3 I have now
- the only thing I would recommend is to be careful with the top 5.25 bay when installing anything because there are a few wires that hang somewhat low at the top

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: inexpensive unit with 2 preinstalled fans that aren't terrible. nice room in the back for cables. good placement of aux and usb ports on top. inexpensive

Cons: The real bummer thing is that there are 2 tiny screws that hold the 2 usb 3.0 heads in place on top via a cheap plastic hole, and it stripped, and the whole thing stuffed itself back into the case. I wasn't happy, because there really isn't a fix that you can glue it back on or something. I finally mounted my optical drive in the very top most bay, and was able to have the cord that goes from the top USB 3.0 to the mobo keep enough tension on it to hold it up. Was going to send it back, but really didn't feel like i wanted to go through that much hassle.

Also... I'm not sure what I expected but its been 6 months and never got a rebate. It's always a gamble i am well aware, but i can't not mention it.

also, the fan control wires and pins and ports for said fan control cables are confusing as heck, and if you wire them wrong, they WILL shut down the entire system. There are absolutely no instructions for how to install the fan control cables and even when done correctly, they still didn't work. I don't really care that much because i installed a few other fans and can control them via my desktop, but if you're going to have fan control buttons, they should work. I really just should have sent the case back when I had the chance for these 2 (3) reasons.

The back door is also a nightmare to get on and off with cables tucked in the back.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad case for what I paid for it. Not a great case either. It does the trick.

3 out of 5 eggsBetter choices out there.

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: There are some filters for the top and bottom of the case, pretty good bonus. The additional fans to the case also save a little money. There are a lot of bays for HDS if you want that.

Cons: AIrflow is pretty awful. You can't remove any bays and it can become pretty tight.

The case's material is really cheap and the case which was a turn off. The case didn't look as good as it did in the picture/video. Cable management would be hard too if you had a lot of cords.

Other Thoughts: It's not a bad case, but for the price you pay, there are definitely better options out there. The quality of Raidmax is subpar to Corsair/NZXT. I would highly recommend those cases, unless you really like how it looks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case Missing 5.25 Front Covers

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: GREAT CASE HAS GOOD AIR FLOW AFTER INSTALLING FIVE FANS

Cons: USB CABLES FOR TOP WERE IN THE WAY BUT I JUST USED THE TWO BOTTOM 5.25 MOUNTS THE ONLY REAL PROBLEM WAS FINDING SOME 5.25 FRONT COVERS AS THEY DID NOT COME WITH PRODUCT

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: X-Dock, + plenty of usb ports in front, dust filters in the bottom, front, and top, price and overall features and 8 expansion slots.

Cons: the usb connector cables for front usb ports go through the first 5.25" bay and they're thick. It might cause a problem when putting a dvd drive in the first slot. But i think i should be able to re-route them from the back side.

Front dust filter is not removable. You'd have to remove the whole front panel to clean it.

Other Thoughts: Haven't put together the system yet, but so far very excited about the features. The front dust filter is not really a dust filter, but more of a light foamy material. Not sure how easy it'll be to clean.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Sleek
Good Looking
Very Roomy Inside
Lots of Air Flow

Cons: Big
Heavy

Other Thoughts: I love this tower! Good price too! Everything fit great, love the PSU being at the bottom, frees up plenty of space around the mobo. I only wish they had it in White instead of just black, pink, and titanium.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The case is nice and big, but not too big. Plenty of room for a graphics card. I have 2 fans on top, 1 for the back of the case, and 1 in the front.

Cons: The only bad thing I can think of was that the side panel was a little harder to put back on with cords behind it.

Other Thoughts: Good case, good temps, and looks awesome.

1 out of 5 eggsfalse advertisement

This review is from: RAIDMAX Scorpio V ATX-503WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: looks good. compatible with a fan/heat sink setup

Cons: Says it supports 240mm liquid cooling systems. Doesn't support some of the most common like the H100i GTX cooling system. Needed about another 1.5inch of clearance. Don't waste your time with this if you plan on using liquid cooling.
