5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Case Ever.

Pros: I really like the case. Yes, it is tall. could be three or more inches longer. As a server tower, my Black Dragon runs EIDE and SATA footprints easy. The mobile drive racks are the strong feature, besides its strong and made well. My dragon is completely full. I love this case. Thank you New Egg for hatching my Black Dragon.

Cons: It could be several inches longer.

Other Thoughts: My friends have seen the Black Dragon---They Love this thing!!!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Tank

Pros: I actually own the (slightly) smaller version of this case

After 4 years of housing my K7 rig and 6 years of housing 3 different S939 builds this monster is still in great shape.

Plenty of air flow for 4 HDD's and pair of 8600's

Probably THE most solid case I've ever owned, the $100 price tag is well worth it for nearly ten years (and counting) of use.

Even with only 80mm fans on the smaller model, cooling is still great due to the sheer size of this beast

Removable hard drive cages are nice

Cons: Definitely showing it's age now with the 80mm fans

The only part that's broken on mine so far is the front door

Neither of which are enough to take an egg off for a case this sturdy

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Good large case, surprisingly well ventilated. I like the removable drive-cages and just the sheer volume of room. The black paint is nice, it would be nice if it included an acrylic door, that would really sell even more of these in my opinion.

Cons: A few. The top plate between the motherboard and PSU gets in the way somewhat, a little too large. The rear fan vents should be 120mm, same with the front, there is no reason why they shouldn't have 80mm and 120mm bored mounts, most overclockers and nice server cases use 120mm mounts. Those purple plastic fan holders got in the way in my opinion. Also the area where the PSU sits has a lot of wasted room above it, this would only be good if you wanted to mount a large water cooling radiator at the top, or store your hidding cash and guns. Some of the metal was also quite sharp in the bays and I almost cut myself a few times. The brackets were a little overly complicated to mount the 5.25" bays as well. Besides that, nothing.

Other Thoughts: Easy to get access to, a little on the heavy side, so don't plan on lugging this thing to LAN parties or turning it on its side to often. Read my cons for why I took off an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Tall Tower!

Pros: This case is sturdy, heavy, and very tall. Plastic fan inserts are nice. Case holds everything I need it to. Great metal finish.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: Plenty of room for watercooling, multiple HDDs, multiple Graphics Cards, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case.

Pros: This is a super accessible case. It's so easy to pop the door off and get inside, plenty of places for fans, and easily-removable hard drive bays. If you do a lot of work inside the computer, this is a great case to have.

Cons: It's heavy. If you LAN, I hope you work out. :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood case.

Pros: Can be modded to fit the Antec CP-850 850W Continuous Power CPX SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC "compatible with Core i7" Power Supply - Retail. See other thoughts.

Cons: No front USB ports. Not really a con.

Other Thoughts: To Mod: Take the back power panel off the enclosure by removing four screws. Reverse cross support and place upside down (hanging) using two screws. Match up CPX power supply to back power panel and using pencil, mark bottom of panel where you want to make the cut. Using a hacksaw and leather glove cut off the bottom of the back power panel. Replace back panel and screw to the top and slip in CPX power supply. Top part of panel should screw in very neatly. The CPX power supply screws won't match up, but you should be able to force a couple of longer case (machine) screws into the perforated back panel of the CPX power supply. Seems to be a good fit. Can't wait to finish the build and fire it up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat server case

Pros: I've had this case for over 3 years now, mine's more of a blue color, and it's been great for everything i've ever used it for. So much room you never have to worry about adding anything. It will fit. Great airflow through the unit if you add front intake fans and rear exhaust fans, mounts for fans for your harddrive bays also.

Cons: it's heavy (it's also large which is why you would buy this). If you add several fans it can be loud but this thing isn't going to be sitting in your living room...

Other Thoughts: I would buy again in an instant. Keep your drive bay parts in a safe place, you never know when you'll reconfigure the layout and you don't want to be missing parts.

5 out of 5 eggsChieftec Dragon DA-01BD-U-OP ATX Full Tower REVIEW

Pros: I've been always fan for full size towers, & I have this
tower under a different name in beige without the front
door. This tower its awesome - its solid sturdy & I will
never depart from it thats why I bought this Dragon You
have plenty of room to fit any type M.Boards Videocards
huge CPU coolers etc. & I also like about it, it doesn't
have neon lights in it I find them distracting & it stays

Cons: It doesn't have usb & firewall port in front, you have to buy
them for the 3 1/2 bay, I would prefer it without the front
door because I use the 5inch bays for my 3 1TB HD & they
are in Icy Doc 3.5 trayless sata removable trays. so I can
swap harddrives

Other Thoughts: For 2 internal 3.5 bays - the bays are removable & hold
3 3.5 HD per bay & if you only use 1 bay you can remove
the 2nd bay from the tower for more free space in tower
or if you don't use them like myself you have plenty airflow
room with them both removed.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Beast

Pros: As mentioned, a monstrous case. "Dragon" is adequate, though "Brontosaurus" might be more appropriate. I actually thought I was ordering the smaller version (which my current machine uses). I didn't check the case measurements, so I was a bit surprised when this showed up.

I'm a fan of big towers, so this will do, but it's a bit heavy (weighing over 20 pounds) should have a motor and wheels, so you can just drive it to its destination. Still, solid construction works for me. It's cavernous, so if you don't have room for your components, you're probably using parts from 70's-era mainframes or something (gotta find room for that punch-card reader!!).

Gobs of size, gobs of space, gobs of strength. If you've got muscles, you're going to love the Dragon.

Cons: One thing. Installing the DVD in the external drive bay was an exercise in frustration...until I figured out that I had to remove the entire upper front panel. Then it became an exercise in patience so I didn't break any of the knob-thingies holding that front panel in place. Once it was removed, the DVD slipped right in.

Some basic on-paper instructions with this case would go a long way to making a fairly easy build even easier.

Nothing broke, so 5 eggs stay in the basket.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is just a terrific company from which to purchase gear.
