5 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: The construction is very good. The steel is thick and sturdy. I like the case screws that keep the lid on, they have retainers to prevent them from getting lost.

Cons: This was my biggest complaint with the case. The expansion slots seem very shallow. What I mean is that the metal tongue on the bottom of the video card, etc will not seat completely flush. This is the vertical part of the card that slips into the back of the case. This makes the card sit unlevel and is hard to screw in. I found that I had to take a file and grind down the bottom of the tongue about a 1/4" in order to push it down all the way. I compared the blank inserts that came with the case compared to the ones that are on my video card, USB3.0 card, etc and they are much shorter.

As others have mentioned, the space is limited. Realistically you can fit 2 HDD or 4 SSD using bracket adapters. I did install a DVD drive in mine, however you could repurpose the 5.25" bay for another HDD.

I fit a full size ATX power supply. It is a tight squeeze. It needs to be completely flush. Also, take note of where the fan vents are.

No headphone jack on the front.

Other Thoughts: I put this case into a SKB 2U audio equipment road case and it fits perfectly. I use it as a mobile multimedia workstation.

Some people claimed the installed fans are junk. My case did not come with any fans. I bought a couple good 80mm fans and installed myself. You really need airflow. Don't try to go without.

4 out of 5 eggsI dont usually write reviews but here it goes

Pros: well constructed
looks good
mounts in my rack
thats all

Cons: Crazy congested to build. Unless you are using a tiny board and only two hard drives go with a bigger case. Very hard to keep cool if anything inside makes heat. Have two case fans and cpu fan on 100 percent all the time to stop overheating.

Other Thoughts: Would not suggest for anything other than a very basic build, Good thing it was cheap. Only took of one egg because i will share the fault because i seen the inside of the case and still bought it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood basic rack case

Pros: Nice inexpensive rackmount case, pretty easy to assemble everything, fits standard ATX PSUs and stock CPU coolers so no need for server-specific parts. I used this for the simple hardware that was serving as my router.

Cons: While the does fit a regular power supply, it can't be ANY taller than the spec or the top of the case won't close. My power supply had a fan grill that stuck out maybe 1 millimeter and I had to remove that in order for the case to close. Just something to keep in mind. Also, the design does make it difficult to install things in the drive bays, as many of the screws are blocked by other parts. I didn't need them, but if you want to use 3.5" or 5.25" drives you'll have to take other bits off first.

Other Thoughts: Over all I'm happy with it, although if I'd planned to put hard drives in it I'd have likely gone for something else. Also, the power LED is ridiculously bright.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple, effective, and dirt cheap when on sale!

Pros: -Easy to work with
-Installing components was a breeze
-Fits perfectly into a standard rack
-Low profile
-High quality build
-Space for two 80mm fans
-Fits a standard ATX PSU

I bought two of these when they were one sale. I used one for VPN / VOIP server and the other for a pfSense machine and couldn't be happier.

Cons: The only con is that power LED is extremely bright. This won't be an issue once I get a cabinet to put these in, but while not in one, the lights are overwhelming. I have covered them up for the time being.

Other Thoughts: One slight annoyance is that you have to take the drive cages out to put drives in. However, this really doesn't matter if you plan on using this for something you don't plan to tinker with much.

If you get one of these, make sure you use a modular PSU if you can. Especially if you plan to have a CD/DVD drive installed. There isn't much room for excess cables and It makes the build much cleaner and less restrictive for airflow through the case.

I wish I would have bought another one while they were so cheap. $30 is such a great deal for these.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Perfectly

Pros: Uses ATX PSU, 5.25 front bay can hold an IcyDock backplane, internal drive trays removable (more space and maybe better airflow as they were in the direct path of the 80mm fans).

Cons: Since it uses an ATX PSU, it can get a little cramped in there. I would recommend a modular PSU to minimize extra molex and SATA power connectors.

Other Thoughts: This ended up being used for a FreePBX box.

4 out of 5 eggsGood quality and value

Pros: I purchased this during a recent sale. Mine differs slightly from the pictures. It has two of those nice permanently-attached thumb screws for securing the top panel.

Cons: The 3.5" drive cages look tall enough to hold 3 drives each, but they are only drilled for 2.

Other Thoughts: The quality seems perfectly acceptable. It appears to be drilled for rails, but you might not need any. It's not very heavy.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Case

Pros: Cheap, fits in a rack. 6 drive bays

Cons: Drive cages are pretty bare bones and hard to work with. No fans included.

Other Thoughts: Used this with a Mini-ITX board and a low profile cooler for socket 1155. Everything fit fine. Full ATX PSU. I'd recommend modular cabled PSU since there isn't a lot of room. I didn't install a 3.5 bay drive, so no issues with cable management.

3 out of 5 eggsOther reviews are spot-on

Pros: This works exactly like the other reviewers stated. It's pretty cheap, good basic rack mount case. I haven't tried mounting it yet, but don't anticipate problems. There are a ton of different screws included. Clean lines.

Cons: Biggest con - advertises two 80mm fans. There were exactly zero fans included. Not a big deal since I didn't want two loud fans and got two really quiet ones instead, just hate being lied to. The insides are a little tight, particularly at the front where they put the drive bays. The 5.25 external bay is really hard to get out unless you have just the right tools for the job. My mobo power connector really gets in the way of the 3.5 internal drive bays. At most I'm going to be able to fit one drive in here, which is all I need, but you may have other plans... look closely at the pictures and decide if you'll be ok or not. It is really tight!

Also, it seems like there were different screw threads for everything, so I had to keep trying different screws until I got the ones that seemed to fit.

USB on front is 2.0 which is odd, but something I knew and could live with.

Other Thoughts: CX430 PSU fit wonderfully. I am using an MSI Z98-G43 micro mobo. Fortunately, I went with a M.2 system drive which is a good solution to the 3.5 drive mounting issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat rack case

Pros: Metal case, heavy duty but lightweight overall. The "guts" inside allow you to swap HDD panels around a little if you want more room for other "stuff." Great threaded bolts on the cover that don't come off, only loosen, for servicing. Rack ears on the front for easy handling. Own several of these-plan on purchasing more as well.

Cons: None-besides having to remove the HDD racks in order to mount fans.

3 out of 5 eggsOk case

Pros: Nice and small, looks pretty decent as well.

Cons: Terrible drive mounting. Do not expect to put more than one full size 3.5" drive in this without it possibly running into things on the motherboard. Wasn't and issue for me but something to watch out for.

Watch the non rolled edges on the drive cages as well, very sharp.

Wish you could remove the handle piece of the rack ears.

Other Thoughts: It's an OK case that works well enough. Nothing special, nothing really terrible other than the drive mounting options.
