3 out of 5 eggsGetting what you pay for

Pros: The case is best summed up as a low cost case of unoffensive appearance. Space for several 3.5" drives, including vibration isolating mounts which is quite handy.

Vast amounts of space internally is also a positive for those who want to install a higher powered cpu/graphics combo.

Cons: Flimsy materials with large amounts of flex. I also noted several screw holes that did not line up with the cross member (which mounts the hard drives and 5.25" slot). This didn't matter in the end as the cross member was an extremely tight fit - to install took a fair bit of brute force which is not something I like to associate with hard drives.

Other Thoughts: As a case for a HTPC, you're not going to get any better for the price. There are no sound deadening materials, and the pre-installed 60mm fans on the back are extremely noisy.

A HTPC best coupled with a low watt cpu/motherboard combo such as an embedded solution and a low noise power supply. Newegg carries plenty of both!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Slightly more compact than the case it's replacing - an nMEDIAPC 6000B.

Front face is solid aluminum, which is far nicer than the plastic face on the aforementioned 6000B.

Cons: Key word from above - *slightly*. For downsizing from full ATX to mATX,, I expected a far smaller footprint.

Interior has some poor design features - chiefly related to the optional VFD. VFD has to be wrestled into place between the frame of the case and the front of the case, and the frame is somewhat sharp/rough edged metal in that area, so the wire leads coming off the VFD could get scraped or stripped of their insulation by the frame. Had to cover the edge of the frame in that area in multiple layers of electrical tape to be safe. Also, VFD doesn't quite line up correctly due to a plastic piece being in the way to properly seat.

Finally BD drive was a pain to get lined up properly with the false front door and external button. Screw holes on drive cage don't allow for much placement adjustment if any at all.

Other Thoughts: It's 2014. With the ubiquitous nature of 2.5 inch SSDs today, cases with specialized HDD trays like this should have a place to attach a 2.5 inch SSD without having to get a 2.5-3.5 or 2.5-5.75 adapter.

Once buttoned up, does make a pretty HTPC case. Would be prettier without the giant nMEDIAPC logo on the front.

4 out of 5 eggsAs Expected

Pros: Looks just like an AV receiver. I had no issues with the CD drive door like some people did. It passed the 'wife' test.....she thought it was an AV receiver. Because it does not look like a PC, there will be no complaints.

Cons: None yet.....year is not over.

Other Thoughts: As others have said...documentation is a bit lacking. It would help if the included instructions were a bit larger.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Rather nice case. A couple items that stuck out to me included -
- Blue Power button LED was NOT blindingly bright!
- Subdued logo - no huge "THIS IS A HTPC" text on it.
- Solid construction. At the moment, my 55" TV is sitting on TOP of the case, and the case doesn't care.
- Plenty of room.

Cons: A couple things that I ran into -
- My specific DVD Drive did not line up to its mounting holes without having to bend the cage slightly. (It did, once installed, have no issues with the door or button, however.)
- Arrived with the back extension card panels bent. That metal of the area is VERY thin and weak - I was easily able to bend it back into position.
- Fans - The side fan has a nice 3-pin MB connector. The two in the rear have 4-pin Molex (old HD style) connectors. I ended up cutting them off and taking 3-pin connectors from old fans and using them.
- No USB3.0 on the front panel. nMedia says that they won't upgrade this case, either, which is fine, but kinda a let down.
- Mounting the LCD (bought separately) was a little tight, as there's a reinforcing bar directly behind where the panel goes. It may be possible to put another OEM panel in there, but that bar may cause problems.

Other Thoughts: I went mostly fanless for components, including PS and VGA, since I'm using it for my HTPC, of course. All equipment used was new, except for the power supply and drives which were taken out of the old system:
-ASUS Gryphon Z87 Motherboard
- Intel i5 4570S
- G.Skill Ares Series 2x8GB (PC3 14900)
- Cooler Master Vortex Plus (fits fine!)
- nMedia PRO-LCD screen
- Zotac ZT-60408-20L VGA Card
- SeaSonic Platinum SS-400FL2 ATX PS

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: -Clean look, wife approved
-Good amount of space for clean cabling, especially with a modular PSU
-Good ventilation
-Lots of space for disks

Cons: No easy place to mount small SSD's
I seem to have a unit with a dead HDD activity LED.
Only brushed aluminium on the unit is the front pane, all other panels are painted steel.
The Included fans aren't silent, I ended up replacing them with some aftermarket ones that do a better job at keeping the sound to a minimum.

Other Thoughts: Not sure I'm all that bent out of shape over the apparently dead HDD LED, in fact I think I may prefer not having that blinking light in my living room.

One thing that I think all HTPC cases should offer is the option to have additional Power and/or Reset buttons located on the back of the unit, to prevent 'little fingers' from turning the unit off.

Regardless of the Cons listed above I am very happy with this case and feel that it's a solid build at a good price.

3 out of 5 eggsgreat looking case with quality issues

Pros: Looks great in home theater audio tower/rack, smaller form factor

Cons: Power button was misaligned, had to force the power button mechanism to the left to align it with the case. Also the optical drive aluminum door had a small piece of metal protruding out, and very small white pressure cracks around the optical drive door. terrible manual

Other Thoughts: I bought this 1000b MicroATX and three of the 2000B ATX's. My plan was to transplant and move my firewall, server, HTPC and Windows 7 (work related) systems into an audio rack. The entire setup looks outstanding, as these cases arrived and unpacked...upon inspection every single case had its share of Quality Control problems. Either misaligned screw fittings, mishapen/warped drive cage, etc. I dont know who is assembling and shipping these cases, but unless you require a level quality that require every inch to be 99% perfect, avoid these cases, you get what you pay for. If you don't mind a little hands on repair or hardware modding, you'll love the way these look with your audio equipment.

3 out of 5 eggsLCD Module (Optional)

Pros: Cheep , seems solid

Cons: LCD Module (Optional) Judging form the picture it looks like it has the modual installed however it does not.

Hard case to work in cramped for space.

Riser plate where the cards screwdown is weird and catches on the screws some times

Thumb screws were installed by a giant so hard to remove.

Other Thoughts: In hindsite i would have spent a little more and bought a beter case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Case

Pros: Looks nice and fits in perfectly with my entertainment center

All front panel components worked perfectly

Plenty of room for all of my hard drives (4 x 3.5" hard drive bays.

Full size ATX power supply works which was perfect for my setup

Cons: One of the back thumb screws didn't line up perfectly, no problem as there were a total of 3, two will hold it fine.

Other Thoughts: I haven't owned it for a long time, but i don't see
