Winsis’s Wi-02 case is great where you don’t have a lot of space for a system. It would work well in kiosks or as a video wall controller cabinet. You could also use it to control information signs in a hotel or airport. Its small size would also make it a good choice for a HTPC.

There is an external 5.25" drive bay and an internal 3.5" drive bay as well as a half-height expansion slot. The front panel also has two audio jacks and two USB ports. The 200W power-supply delivers ample power for all your components needs. Once everything is installed put the lid back on and you’re good to go.

  • newegg Built-in 200W PSU The Winsis Wi-02 is equipped with a 200W power supply unit to handle typical power consumption of most mini-ITX systems.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The Winsis Wi-02 features a convenient front I/O panel for easy access to two USB 2.0 and two audio ports.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Price, looks, small size, not too loud

Cons: Material is a bit flimsy. Shiny black plastic front, looks great but had a large scratch across it (even though it had a plastic film on it to protect it).

Other Thoughts: Case it ok for the money. No problems with my build. The fans do make some noise but no more than my existing hi-def/dvr provided by my local cable company. And yes as mentioned by others my blue LED power light popped out as well.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Room

Pros: Nice compact size for mini-itx via based. It has plenty of ventalation possibilities for higher end systems also. Seem built faily decent. I think it is worth the money. I also like that it can hold a 2.5",3.5", and slim DVD all at one time.

Cons: The led light for the front of the case, as in most cases, are just held in by a little glue. Ended up just putting some more on them. No biggie.

Other Thoughts: The slim load dvd slot is surrounded on the sides and the flanges on the top side were making my slot load dvd drive sound weird. I just bent the flanges back out of the way and everything works great. The front audio jacks are soley set up for HD Audio. My old motherboard required AC-97 so I removed the new audio jacks and soldered some AC-97 jack in place. Now it works perfectly.

4 out of 5 eggsIt is alright for a first build

Pros: Fairly attractive appearance, 200W power supply, cheap

Cons: One USB port does not work. Power LED does not work. Cut out in the back is misaligned. Front panel is finger print magnet. Comes with only one set of rubber feet, see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: For my first build, it is okay. I was disappointed mostly by the faulty USB port. I was on the cheap this time around so I get what I pay for. The LED does pop out like everyone mentioned; however, mine does not work at all. I'm not too disappointed since it would be more of a distraction any way. Front panel is piano black and attracts prints about as bad as an iPhone. The case can be orientated two ways, but only provides feet for one. Looks a little cheesy because they recess the area where the feet go.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case, bad power supply

Pros: It's slim and attractive. Though a little awkward to work with, I like the removable drive assembly.

Cons: As many have mentioned below, the power supply is a disappointment. Mine has not blown but I discovered the PS fan stopped working giving me a new place to fry an egg. I'll be getting a new power supply.

As stated below, I also had problems with the alignment of the screw hole for the expansion slot. After cutting the tab, I was able to make it work with my half-height tuner.

Other Thoughts: The plastic front panel is delicate. I wouldn't manhandle it much when removing and reassembling.

When using the expansion slot, there is not much space between the card and the power supply fan. (~1") The case has quite a few ventilation holes but given their placement away from this small gap, I'm concerned there may be some overheating issues.

Overall, it gets the job done and once everything is together, it's looks nice.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case for little cost

Pros: Good cost for an attractive Mini ITX case. Looks right at home on the entertainment center. Fits 2.5" drives and slimline optical. The drive cage is removable for easy maintenence.

Cons: Orientation of the SATA might be tricky for some because of the steep angle. Removable drive cage is hard to seat while your connectors are installed in the drives (this is the only way to go if using 2.5" drives). I would have given this case a five but the cage issue is kind of a big deal. I have built hundreds of computers and I would not recommend this as a first case as you are likely to break your SATA connectors if not VERY careful. I would not recommend this case if you have never worked on ITX formfactors before either.

Other Thoughts: For fear of becoming another reviewer whining about how there is absolutely no room in this case whatsoever (which I cant stand, Hey. Then dont buy ITX moron.) The case works well for its intended purpose and with some careful planning of the wire management you should have a nice little machine. This is my ideal desktop solution.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Well Proportioned for a Mini-ITX MB.

Cons: Power Switch was DOA and since it is glued in place there is no repair or replacement. Overall build quality was just mediocre to poor.

Other Thoughts: Was not worth the cost of return shipment and cost of personal time to get a refund, considered a total loss.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall black XBOX

Pros: Small. Nice looking. Not many sharp edges.

Cons: Trash power supply. Really, if you want longevity get rid of it. I personally installed the seasonic 300W 80+ as others discussed below.

Like others said, the 1/2 height PCIE expansion slot not only has the mounting hole on the wrong side, you also need to cut tabs on your cards mounting bracket to make it fit.

Such a low priced case only means 1 star removed for these two items.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, small, somewhat noisy

Pros: Very small, attractive case. Works in both horizontal and vertical orientations.

Cons: The PSU fan is a bit on the noisy side for an HTPC, but I think it's mostly due to the size. Such a small PSU requires a high-RPM fan to move enough air.

Other Thoughts: For the folks having problems with assembly - you must be doing something wrong. I had my mobo, DVD and hard drive installed into it in no time.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Case, Power Supply is Junk

Pros: Small, cheap, ok-looking case.

Cons: The power supply died (with a horrible popping noise) after less than 1 day of use. The power supply was extremely loud while it was alive. Getting the front panel off/on is a bit of a pain, and I don't care for the DVD/hard drive cage.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to replace the dead power supply with the 300W TFX Seasonic model that others have recommended. Hopefully that will work out better.
