5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quality of build is outstanding. Finish is top grade. Everything fits well. Front panel LCD is dim-able so brightness is not an issue. Case is quite large with plenty of room for everything you might possibly want in an HTPC. You can actually mount 5 3.5" HDDs in the case, there is an additional HDD slot between the ODD and the 3.5" external bay. Internal components are well layed out with plenty of room for cable routing. All included cables are of sufficient length for a comfortable fit. PSU w/120mm fan will draw cool air from outside the case so it's fan will not have to spin as fast. Everything mounts securely with noise dampening grommets for HDDs, no rattles or buzzes from panels or components. Has room to fit a 92mm tower cooler on processer.

Cons: The thumb screw that retains the ODD cage was rather difficult to line up as the head is right up against the cage. Large open side vents draw quite a bit of dust into the case. Is every bit as large as most ATX mid tower cases. Top cover is held on by 6 flat headed philips screws, kind of a pain to take off for dust removal. Included 80mm case fans are loud for an HTPC, plan on replacing them with a quieter model. With this kind of price tag, it would be nice if it came with quiet fans, but I can understand Zalman using their own products.
New Egg didn't have this yet when I got mine... had to order it from Germany and wait a week and a half for delivery.

Other Thoughts: This is a premium HTPC case with a premium price tag. The quality of construction, build and finish are top notch. This thing is Big... make sure it will fit where you want it before you order. If you are looking for an HTPC case that looks and feels like a quality piece of equipment, this is one to consider.

4 out of 5 eggsMeh, I like it.

Pros: Case has plenty of room, ventilation is good, everything mounted cleanly and fit together well. Volume knob has catch points so it feels nice and pushing the button activates mute (if you ever use it). All other buttons are solid and have a satisfying feel. LCD display is clean and a little bright put works fine with the IMON software which is easy to use with VISTA 64 Home Premium. CDROM plate mounted well to my cheap Lite-on DVD-ROM and does not rattle when it fires up at full speed. Flip down door plate has magnets to keep if closed. Covers USB, Firewire, and card reader port (card reader not included). Rubber stops included to silence hard drives, no rubber stops for CDROM drive but it's such a tight fit that it will not rattle. Case does NOT seem to show fingerprints or scratch easily.

Cons: LOTS of screws. I replaces most of them with hand twist screws I had around.

Remote control is JUNK. You have to point it right at the receiver in order for it to work, a difficult task when you are navigating. Even then, it is difficult to use and not intuitive. Too many small buttons on the remote for my tastes. Don't buy it for the remote.

Two 80mm fans that come with the case are like jet engines. They are LOUD. I replaced them with 2 COOLER MASTER SAF-S84-E1 80mm Case Fans ($6 each on N.E.) since a great deal of cooling is not required for the system I built. Most of the time the MoBo has them turned off anyway.

Bottom line, all you really get is a case, LCD, and very basic mounting equipment. All the "extras" are unusable for a HTPC.

Other Thoughts: I am satisfied with this case. Bought it someplace else (saved about $60) but it looks good under my T.V. This case is deeper than you would expect, I had to cut a hole in the back of my cabinet to support it's depth (knew this going in and was going to do something like that for ventilation purposes anyway) Still, it hangs out about 2 inches in the back so check the dimensions and break out a tape measure before you buy!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Plus is a must

Pros: This is an excellent case to put in the TV room It looks clean and blends in with your AV equipment. I used an Abit board with sound and video on board HDMI out on the board. Be sure to pick a quite PS I used a Antec tp550 stock cooler on AMD x2 4200. The two case fans run quite if you run one off the board as sys and the other off PS fan only lead. Did I say its QUITE !!

Cons: None except that Newegg (my fav parts seller) did not have this as an item for sale till 2 days after I ordered from *&^%#
Ya I'm sure thats the name, Did I say its QUITE ??

Other Thoughts: I was specifically building a media center pc to hook up a sony VGP 200 dvd changer and be able to share and pick shares over my network. If I want to game thats what the PS3 is for PC games my desktop machine. Surf the web in the living room while watching ?? pricless . Did I mention its QUITE and COOL oh and It LOOKS COOL TOO!!
