4 out of 5 eggsCheap case that feels like a cheap case

Pros: Got this guy on sale for $30. It's pretty big and fits my R9 290 and my corsair A50 with no problems.

Good airflow; plenty of spots for 120mm fans.

No major problems.

Cons: USB 2.0 front panel header

There's not enough room to hide cables behind the motherboard

HDD bay requires L-shaped SATA connectors

Front and Top panels are difficult to snap on and off. I feel like eventually I'm going to break it.

I've accidentally hit the power button a few times now.

Included fan is molex and is a bit loud.

Other Thoughts: This case certainly has its' share of imperfections but it's good for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor, poor quality

Pros: Larger than most mid towers. That's all, folks.

Cons: The tolerances used in the manufacturing process must be exceedingly large or non-existent. NONE of the panels/covers can be removed and put back together without extreme effort. The top left cover arrived unattached and is still unattached. It feels cheap and flimsy even when compared to the lowest low budget cases NewEgg sells. I am extremely disappointed and will never purchase from this manufacturer again.

Other Thoughts: I have built hundreds of systems over the years and have never this dissatisfied with a case purchase. Not only do I have to deal with the aggravation of RMAing this piece of junk but we put it on my wife's credit card so now I have to deal with her complaining about all the trouble she has to go through. Thnaks a lot, NewEgg.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,

We sincerely apologize for the issue. Please contact our customer service e-mail or via toll free number 1-888-925-6266 for further assistance.

Thank you.

Best regards,

4 out of 5 eggsNice price. Roomy.

Pros: Very roomy. PSU on the bottom. USB's on top with tray for charging things. Inexpensive (got on sale $30.00). No rebate scam. HDD install is tool-less. Intake Air filters present.

Cons: No USB 3.0. Don't like HDD bay - SATA cable gets squished by the case cover. Better use "L" shaped SATA cable here. MOBO stand offs use fine thread screws (not clear in instructions, stripped one). Blue LED front fan - barely visible. Fans - noisy, better to use 140mm - you're only given two - rotate slower = less noise. Back fan - Molex - not controllable by MOBO in sleep mode.

Other Thoughts: Overall decent case for the money. Was looking for a bigger case with PSU install on bottom. May disconnect or replace back fan - MOLEX and noisy.

4 out of 5 eggsZalman Z5

Pros: Tons of space
Lots of fan mounts

Cons: The fan filters are a little hard to remove/replace to clean

Other Thoughts: Over all for the money this is a great case, though now i wish i had got the upgrade version with the side window. But regardless i don't think you can go wrong with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsSecond only to Z5 plus

Pros: It's an awesome case for the money. It's almost too spacious for me.

Cons: If you are looking to buy this, just spend the extra 10 bucks and get a Z5 plus. It has a side window and another fan included. The price difference is more than compensated by the extra LED fan you get with the Z5.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: Very good case, simple design, sturdy, has enough room to put everything I want in and some more, dust filters on almost every vent, has two possible SSD bays. Pretty much everything you need for a good case.

Cons: If you have a non-module PSU, you're going to have a bad time with cable management. There is not much room on the bottom of the case to put your excess power cables.

Other Thoughts: The power cables are my only grief since I got a non-module PSU. Everything else, I'm very satisfied with. The case itself is not very heavy and works with most mobos. I love the simple design that the Z5 has. When I first took off the front panel and top panel (not the side panels) to get a look at the optical and floppy drives, I had to use a little more force than I wanted (I didn't know if it was meant to come off at first).

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Very nice layout. Plenty of room behind motherboard to route cables. Black inside and out. Front panel connectors were long enough to work with my MSI mATX motherboard. Hard drives install tooless and face the connectors behind the motherboard. This is a great case for the money. Fan mounts on the bottom, top, and front and includes some mesh filters on the front.

Cons: The rear fan only has a molex connector so it can not be speed controlled by motherboard. The documentation included does not match the actual layout of case and overall is lacking. If you've put computers together before you'll figure it out but I was cussing it.
Tooless 5.25 bay setup is not documented and required some trial and error to get them to let go.
The screws the manual says to work with the MB standoffs are too large and will strip out. Use the small "A" bolts.

Other Thoughts: The case is very light and thus feels cheap. It looks nice and imho is adequate for any build I can think of.

Pros: Very well thought out case, very feature rich for the price. Light weight and super sturdy.

Cons: No usb 3, but i knew that going in.

Other Thoughts: Superb case for the price, I will recommend it to my friends. Some people had an issue with the power button and reset but mine is fine.

Pros: I am very happy with this case especially at the price it goes for. I love the mounting of the 2.5" drives. The case has plenty of room and made cable management very easy. It does everything that it is supposed to and came with everything that it was supposed to. The screwless attachments for the drives made it a breeze to snap on and put where you want them. I love the look of the case. Has a nice lay at the top I can set my cell phone in while charging. I would recommend this case to anybody.

Cons: NONE!!!

Other Thoughts: Newegg got the case to me quick. It only took like three days and I was happy with this.
