Sentey Classic Series CS1-1399 Mid-Tower Case

Sentey Classic Series CS1-1399 Mid Tower Case

The Sentey CS1-1399 Mid-Tower Case is a great choice for those who want to build an inexpensive system, or who like to spend more money on what's inside. The Sentey CS1-1399 is a simple, but not dull, case with a nice clean look that will be welcome on anyone's desk. Inside the case you'll find spacious room to accommodate your motherboard and drives. Two pre-installed fans in combination with the side air duct deliver excellent heat dissipation for improved system reliability. A front-panel SD/MMC card reader allows access to SD memory cards. As an added bonus, a PSU is included to deliver stable power to the entire system.

This case is coated with Sandy Black Paint. This textured black matte finish keeps the case clean at all times.

The Sentey CS1-1399 has two USB 2.0 ports, AC97 Audio and Microphone, as well as Reset and Power buttons with an LED indicator on the front of the case. It also features a SD/MMC Card Reader.

The Sentey CS1-1399 comes with two side 80mm fans included to ensure proper cooling of the chassis and hardware components. It is possible to install three more additional fans: 1 x 120mm or 80mm fan as well as 1 x 80mm bottom-mounted fan plus a 1 x 120/80mm rear exhaust fan.

Supports ATX / M-ATX motherboards and has room for up to seven PCI Expansion slots, all embedded in an easy to use tool-less design.

The case chassis is completely composed of laminated SECC 0.5MM Steel. It has a gray coating with all the edges rounded off to avoid cuts and injury during assembly.

This case is ideal for daily use for those users that require a dependable computer. This case features an 80mm fan grill and 125mm nozzle. It is possible to install either a 120mm or 80mm rear fan, and the bottom of the unit can further accommodate two more fans; a 120mm and 80mm fan.

This case features multiple vents that assist in ventilation and the rapid cooling of components installed within. At the bottom of the chassis lies a mount that can be used to install an 80mm/120mm fan to cool the HDD zone and a rear exhaust fan mount.

4 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: Cheap
comes with three case fans.
I would buy this brand of case again but one that is more high end.

Cons: power supply is trash and front panel head phone port does not work

3 out of 5 eggsIt's okay.

Pros: The case itself is okay, though it's not ideal for a gaming rig, being too small to fit a good cooling system.

Cons: The power supply included lasted about 18 months. I guess that's just on the low side of normal, but I've never had one die in less than 3-5 years before. No particular external reason for this failure, either, as I ran the PC on a UPS that kept stress on the unit low.

Other Thoughts: If you're building a basic work computer, or are on a tight budget (as I was), this is a good case to use. It's worthwhile to invest in a better case and power supply, if you want to put together a high quality computer, though. Don't skimp in the case department if you can help it, and never skimp on the Power Supply, the collateral damage can be terrible.

5 out of 5 eggsAcceptable for the price

Pros: It works - that is a Pro for a case with a PSU at a net cost of sixteen dollars!
Quiet. PSU
Intel spec connectors
Good airflow

Cons: Four of the six front panel connectors were broken. Oddly, the two remaining would have been sufficient to affix the panel, but I added 2 self tapping screws for security.
Edges are sharp and will cut skin.

I discovered, due to the case's short length / overly long HD screw slots / 3 screw HD mount...that it is possible for the HD to be so far forward as to mash the back of the power button causing repeated reboots.

Other Thoughts: NOT a 450w PSU as it states on the side of the unit.
IS a 250w as stated here.

Be advised that the MB mounts without standoffs.

The card reader connector is simply half of a USB 2.0 9-pin connector - normal.

I pulled the 2 side fans to make room for the Cooler Master 212 Plus. Used rubber grommets to re-mount the grills - looks/works great.

3 out of 5 eggsShowed up briken

Pros: Decently priced with enough features for the average build.

Cons: I had to knock 2 stars because it showed up slightly dented on the back corner and all but one of the front covers snap-posts broken. Apparently the packaging is inadequate as other reviews have cited damage on arrival. I would send back if my son didn't need his computer up and running in a hurry. As it is a stationary unit, it works fine.

Other Thoughts: When it comes to computer cases, a little more care should be taken in selecting packaging materials. Maybe softer foam would help.

3 out of 5 eggsJust average

Pros: The case is lightweight and fairly well constructed. A decent sized power supply. The addition of an SD reader is a nice touch, well as the front USB ports and audio plugs.

Cons: The power supply's longevity is questionable if your build works it full throttle but for low power systems, it shouldn't be much of an reliability issue. The psu is pretty loud and it might not please those that are sensitive to such things.

Other Thoughts: The case has a nice gloss finish to the plastic but unfortunately it is a dust magnet.

5 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: Great value:
Includes card reader, PSU, and 2 side intake fans
PSU seems to have lots of power
The optical drive bay door works great with my drive!
Everything works and looks good too

Cons: The metal is thin, so transmits sound
The PSU fan is pretty loud.

Other Thoughts: I swapped out the PSU fan for a more silent option. That reduced the dB level a lot..
I also added a 120mm case fan, and then modded the power cable to supply 5v to all of the case fans instead of 12v.
The whole thing still has lots of air flow and is whisper quiet.

For the pricepoint, this case exceeds expectations.

4 out of 5 eggsDidn't think I would but I really like this case

Pros: At the time I bought it it didn't say that it came with an SD card reader so It was really cool when I found out it has one. The large power button reminds me of HAL 9000 from 2001. The optical drive cover is a nice touch. Inside it's standard ATX with an easy-to-work-in design. I also like the overall look of the case.

Cons: It's not tool less, it's steal and not aluminum, but for this price I wasn't expecting it to be. only two front USB ports. Four would have been better. In fact, there are spacers for two more USB ports but they aren't being used here.

Other Thoughts: I got this case because it was cheap and it came with a basic power supply. I used it to throw together some spare parts just to have a computer to mess around with. I wasn't expecting much from this case but it actually isn't bad at all. Tool less cases have spoiled me though and it would have been great if they could have made it tool less at this price.

Still, if you need a low cost case that's nice to look at and easy to build in, this one will not disappoint.
