3 out of 5 eggsPoor cooling, not worth it

Pros: Holds lots of drives
Cable routing is easy
Clean overall design
Sides are interchangeable
Can hold two radiators

Cons: Steel construction is terrible at dissipating heat.
Front 200mm fan has tiny intake inlets, is starved.
Front fan has virtually no airflow with drive cage installed
Design basically requires a blower-style video card cooler
Expensive for not being aluminum

Other Thoughts: Spend $20-$30 more on a quality aluminum case from Lian-Li or Silverstone. This case is a good deal if it's $40 and only used for holding a bunch of hard disks (which will run hot, mine run around 47c.) It can't adequately cool a video card beyond a 650Ti.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Sturdy Case

Pros: Very Sturdy case.
A lot of storage option.
Good cooling options (see below)
looks slick

Cons: Not really any cons about this case, but I am wary about the inclusion of magnets on cases... I keep magnets far away from computer cases

Other Thoughts: It is lovely for my server builds. I've been testing multiple cases for itx server builds and this is by far my favorite thus far. It is very similar to the BF Prodigy, but this one is more discrete looking.

The cooling options are great for my purposes, but I'm not sure I would put a full gaming rig inside it. The removal of the ODD cage to fit a 240mm rad would be a deal breaker for me. I'll use optical drives until I can install an OS from the cloud.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect build for a multi terabyte, low power home server.

Pros: I wanted to build a home server, low power, quite, that supported multiple hard drives. My build included this component and fit the bill perfectly. I have now a very quiet server, using very low power, with more than 5TB mirrored drives (raw is >10TB). Strongly recommended.

My build:
- BitFenix Phenom BFC-PHE-300-KKXKK-RP Mini-ITX computer case
- Rosewill Green series 530W 80 PLUS Bronze power
- ASUS H87I-PLUS Mini ITX motherboard
- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB F3-12800CL10S-8GBXL
- Intel Core i3-4130T 35W (super low power)
- Crucial M500 120GB Sata 2.5" SSD
- 5 Hard Drives, all Western Digital Green, from 1TB to 4TB
- Windows 8.1

Everything is low power, I use the integrated graphics of the CPU, and the SSD keeps the build quite fast. With Windows I created a single 'storage space' that takes all the 5 hard drives and makes it look like a single multi terabyte hard drive, and I selected to have everything mirrorored. No fuss with RAID, it is all in Wnidows. I don't use a monitor or keyboard (only used it to set it up), as I connect remotely via remote desktop. I chose these components to make sure they were all compatible - it has been running 24/7 for the past 4 weeks with no problem, no heat, no noise. I serve my music to my Sonos components, backup all my work, share all my pictures, and could even remotely access it (I have not set that up yet).

Cons: No cons, just had to move the cables as I put the right/left doors the opposite way.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent, if you don't like Hard Drives, Disk Drives, or Airflow.

Pros: Came with 2 Fans.... Not too loud.
Mobo sits Horizontally.
LOTS of Hard Drive Bays IF you don't use a video card.

Cons: Can only use 2 3.5" HDD's when you have a Graphics Card installed.
Front Panel pops off WAY too easily.
I/O board is on the side of the case.

Other Thoughts: Overall build is fair, decent steel, but the plastic is NO BUENO.

5 out of 5 eggsStrong

Pros: Extremely strong and rigid. Heavy. Nothing cheap about this case. Used it to replace a Lian-Li case that the power button pushed through. This case is dramatically heavier and studier than the Lian-Li. Will never buy another Lian-Li. Used to use Antec, but they don't have much for mini-ITX. Wouldn't select an Antec over Bitfenix.

Cons: Weight, but for me, that is a good thing.

Other Thoughts: For some people the lack of vents on the sides is a negative. I disagree. The straight up ventilation is more than enough to get rid of any heat. There are no top fans supplied. Get two 120mm silent fans if you are worried about heat.

5 out of 5 eggsA Solid case

Pros: - Built like a tank. Much heavier and has a nice, "solid" feel to it.
- Snap-on HDD trays are huge time savers
- From unpacking everything (CPU/RAM/Mobo/etc) to fully built NAS took less than an hour, including tiny cable management
- Comes with two big, quiet built in fans
- Fit my mobo/PSU perfectly. Too many cases can't even handle that.
- Has space for more than 10 drives in a small case

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Would recommend

5 out of 5 eggsUpdated Case

Pros: Awesome finish! The Soft touch finish and the matte look give it a beautiful yet simple look.

Great storage capability! Loading up on SSDs right now.

I picked up this case knowing full well that I'd need to get a PSU that was <160mm due to the closed PSU housing, however, to my surprise, the one I received had the back housing cut out to all a full size 160mm PSU (applies to both modular and non-modular of course!) Bitfenix must have finally figured out they needed that housing opened since they did it for the Colossus M and mITX variants (not on Newegg.) The bottom drive cage though you still need to unscrew to allow the full 160mm PSU to allow the cables some room. The 2 SSD mounts are still there so if you're planning to use them, you'll definitely still need to get a PSU < 160mm to make use of the full storage capability.

I'll have to update later once I get some burn and benchmarks done.

Cons: Everything is going good so far!

Other Thoughts: Build (and got most the stuff on sale from the egg)

Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 ($230..yeah got it on sale elsewhere)
ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT LGA 1150 Intel Z87 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard ($229.99)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 CPU Cooler. 140mm ($73)
2 x Crucial M500 240GB SATA 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive ($140 x2)
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) ($114)
CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ($79)
ASUS R9 290x 4GB 512-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 (not going to say...)

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: There is plenty of room to put a ton of storage. The storage trays can be removed to accommodate space to put a water pump and reservoir for custom water cooling. PSU has room around it to hide lengthy cables

Cons: It came with a paint defect as though someone had put their palm on it just before the paint dried. It looks minor and I thought it was some gunk I could cleanly wipe off. It was a flaw with the finish and so I'm returning for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: The case is basically a recycled Prodigy without the handles and 5.25" drive open to the front. There is still a 5.25" bay at the top which leaves just enough room to fit the Corsair H100i.

Ordered this prior to Black Friday and Cyber Monday but was still delayed because the carrier (ontrac) never picking it up.

Now It has to be returned for replacement because of the cosmetic flaws that should have been checked before packaging it up.

This case will likely be used as a NAS/SAN since I picked up the Antec ISK 600 (not currently carried by newegg) for my gaming rig. It doesn't require a lot of space. Maybe it will be used for custom watercooling in the future:

SeaSonic Platinum SS-860XP2
Mushkin Stealth 16GB (2x8GB) 1600
Intel Core i7-4770K (cooled with Corsair H80i)
Intel 525 Series Lincon Crest 240GB
EVGA Geforce GTX780Ti SuperClocked

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent case

Pros: Excellent case with well thought out features. Love the feel and general look of it. Like that it only has USB 3 ports (Seriously, they're backwards compatible. Why would you put a combination of 2's and 3's?). Good airflow and very, very quiet too.

Cons: A little big for a mini ITX case. The size isn't bad but it certainly was bigger than it seems in the pictures. Also, with all that extra space, a double wide graphics card doesn't have a lot of space to breathe.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with the case. Looks and works great. I'll be purchasing from them again when I build my next.

5 out of 5 eggs  Awsome Bitfenix case

Pros: This is one awesome Mini-ITX case with a great finish.

Using mine as a Windows 8.1 Home Server loaded with 6 - 3.5 drives and 1 - 2.5 SSD drive. And still have room for 2 more 2.5 drives on side panel, your only limited by SATA ports on motherboard. I bought some Cougar PWM fans and Corsair close loop liquid cooling system, this thing is now dead silent.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This case is capable of holding 6 - 3.5 drives and 3 - 2.5 SSD drives for a total of 9 drives in a MIni-ITX case (can't ask for more than that).

I'm using SSD for Operating system with Microsoft storage spaces managing the other 6 - 3.5 drives, configured to allocate Media, storage and client backups.
