2 out of 5 eggsPoor QC

Pros: It looks nice in photos and seems to have generally favourable reviews, maybe I was unlucky.

Cons: Poor quality control

-Scratch on side of case above power button as well as wear on the edges of side panel
-Slight deformation on front panel, definitely from the factory and not shipping as it's buldging outward.
-Both top and bottom filters don't sit flush because they're warped/bent

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this at Newegg ($30 for shipping?) but I shop here often and figured I'd leave my experience with it. Wish I could say I was impressed.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case

Pros: If there were a Nobel Prize for mini-ITX case design, these guys should win it. I've built a lot of systems over the years and this is the first case that has really impressed me. Build quality is exceptional and the design is VERY well thought out. Rarely will you see a case that takes such advantage of mounting points.

Cons: Hardly a con, but worth pointing out that you need to pay attention to your order of events when installing your gear. You'll occasionally mount something only to realize you have to remove it to install something else you should have done first.

Other Thoughts: Its an awesome case for a home NAS. I'm running an ASRock C2550D4I board with 12 SATA ports and I've already populated 8 drives into this case (4 3.5" and 4 2.5") and still have room for more. I opted to upgrade both the front and rear fans to the maximum size as I'm a believer in sealing the fan to the case, though the "factory" fans would probably have been plenty.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than Advertised... with a Tweak

Pros: -Has more HDD mounts than my motherboard has plugs for
-Decently well-built
-Fits long GPUs
-Lots of fan mounting points and cooling options
-Looks awesome

Cons: -Front airflow sucks
-PSU cage is cramped and annoying to work with. Good luck, stuff fits... but just barely.
-Removable HDD cage does not feel sturdy. It slides in nearly all directions, yet somehow doesn't fall out.
-If the rear of your motherboard has lots of connections on it. your fingers will probably be too big to get at them with the middle HDD cage installed.

Other Thoughts: Contrary to what you may have read about this case, I assure you that it IS possible to install a long GPU while the middle HDD cage is installed. The only things that interfere are the plastic pinch mounts, so you just need to turn the cage around so they face the opposite direction. To do this:

1. Remove middle cage.
2. Remove lower cage and rotate 180 degrees, screw it back in place.
3. Remove upper track from the 5.25" cage, rotate 180 degrees and screw in place.
4. Insert middle cage from the other side.

I recommend putting a non-conductive layer of something between the GPU and the middle cage because there is not much clearance and a good knock could make the back of the card hit the metal of the cage.

Be warned, reversing the HDD cages will make the front panel I/O cables an extremely tight fit, but hey, now you've got a mini-ITX server/gaming rig all in one small package!

3 out of 5 eggsnice, but poor documentation

Pros: Clean look, very modular. Lots of room for drive bays, which is nice. Good airflow.

Cons: More documentation on sizes would have spared me the need to replace several components. I bought two 120MM fans for the top, but discovered when I went to install them that the case takes a half-height fan. When I went to install my power supply (EVGA NEX650G) it is far too long for the power supply cage and I can't even dremel out enough space. Nowhere on newegg, Bitfenix's own website, or even the included setup guide are these restrictions mentioned! I can reuse the fans, but I'm out the shipping on the power supply to replace it.

Other Thoughts: It's a nice enough case, so I'll use and enjoy it I'm sure, but when I check the specs on the manufacturer's website I expect to see things like "power supply max length = 160mm" and such if those things are important. I will probably not purchase any bitfenix products in the future as I won't be able to trust that they support what they claim they support.

5 out of 5 eggsA Great Case

Pros: This is a great case. It's very solidly constructed, looks great, and has plenty of room for all the hardware you want. I built a gaming rig and setting it up was straightforward. Everything fits cleanly. You do not need custom cables for this case so save your money. Here's my system specs to give you an idea of what you can do with it:

BitFenix Phenom Mini-ITX Case
ASUS Maximus VI Impact Motherboard
Intel 4770K CPU (OC to 4.4GHz)
16GB G.SKILL RAM (F3-1866C8D-16GTX)
Corsair H100i Cooler
Corsair CS750M PSU
Gigabyte GV-N78TGHZ-3GD (OC 780ti)
Nvidia G-SYNC DIY Kit
ASUS VG248QE 24" Monitor
OCZ 512GB SSD VTX4-25SAT3-512G
Corsair M95 Mouse
Corsair K95 Keyboard
Windows 8.1

Cons: A con only for some people - It does not have an external bay for a DVD drive. I have an external USB burner so this isn't an issue for me, but if you just have to have an internal DVD this case is probably not for you.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat mITX for Watercooling

Pros: Great over all case. Love the ability to quickly remove all the unnecessary clutter, drive bays, 5.25 etc. I have a XT45 180mm rad up front and a ST30 240 uptop. Great option for watercooling enthusiasts willing to work in tight spaces.

Cons: 1.) Power Supply. At max you're going to fit a 160mm length PS. Granted lots of options in this size range. Also you cannot get at any connectors once it is installed so you have to wire it up and then mount it.

2.) Case Front. Has zero airflow. They took a drill to the sides and cut 6 vent holes... I followed this up with a dremel and I opened these vents up substantially. I recommend you so the same as I dropped 4* from doing this alone.

Other Thoughts: 1.) Case Top. This one really erked me. If they had only made the top panel 5-7mm taller you could fit a 25mm fan up top in the opening. This would allow for a much thicker rad to be mounted underneath.

I highly recommend custom cables in this case.

Really should have side panel window options. It is 2014 these should be standard...

5 out of 5 eggsLepricon

Pros: Looks exactly like the other Bit Fenix with the handles.

Cons: This version for many people is too large. If you make it with the same frame as the one with the handles, why not make access for a front 5.5 bay.

Other Thoughts: Looks exactly the same size as MATX Case. Could just buy a Temjin Case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but not Perfect

Pros: Best design, good looking, great interior layout.
Decent price. Great air cooling. Many hard drives.

Cons: - Why waste space between 2x120mm and top air filter. This space must raise up about an inches so we can put 2 fans in there instead of mount 2 fans inside under it.
- The front 2 fans is a challenge. If we mount 2 fans on front, we must remove 5.25 bay away. If we use 5.25 bay, we will never mount 2 front fans again forever.
- This case must keep side panel with holes as the original version because it will help video card getting cool air from the side.
- The rectangle space in psu section must have something to mount fan controller as an option instead of leave that space a waste.
- The back fan section is also a big challenge for those who use water cooling all in one as H80i. We can't mount that cooler on it. It won't fit. That's a big disappointment.
- If we use regular video card, we will lose 3x3.25 hard drives rack. So I recommend using GTX670 mini.

Other Thoughts: I love this case so much because it's decent small with many hard drives. However, things is not always perfect. So do some research about motherboard and cooler before jump on it.
