4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fans galore, you can add a lot fans in this case.
Good design, easy to run wires behind motherboard.
The whole top and bottom is a grill for air to flow through.

Cons: MB fit is a little tight.
No chassis speaker.
Big for a mini itx tower.
Heavy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Black interior, tinted window, dust filters on all intakes, fan controller and much much more!

Cons: Mine had the most minor damage thanks to the shippers dropping it. But I was able to repair it without much hassle.
The tint and acrylic window seem very delicate and may be very easy to scratch.

Other Thoughts: I really love this case, it's quiet and stealthy. Building inside of it was extremely easy and cable management was painless.

5 out of 5 eggsReally like this case

Pros: Nice case, sturdy, quality constructions. Breaks down really easily without tools. Love the cable management. Build went very smooth. Lots of room for a mini case. Fans are quiet, on the low setting I don't hear them at all. I am very pleased.

Cons: I cannot think of any.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this case!! part 2

Pros: I posted a previous review and took an egg off due to lack of air flow from the top stock 140mm fan. I made a mistake. I said it did not move much air, I was wrong. The settings in the UEFI allow for granular chassis fan control and mine simply were not throttling high due to the case remaining cool. I have since found that I can move considerable amounts of air through the top filer by throttling the fan. I added an additional fan and man does it blow!

Cons: None, none at all!

Other Thoughts: Sorry for the edit, but I needed to make sure I did not post in error.

4 out of 5 eggsI love this case!!

Pros: Sturdy. The drive cages are metal (see other thoughts). Nice lines. comes with lots of screws and ties. light weight. i love it.

Cons: With all metal trays and dvd cage removed, the case does not feel as solid, but it was still okay. i have since reinstalled the bottom drive tray and mounted my SSDs there and it made it "feel better". The viewing wIndow is a bit small. I don't think these warrant taking an egg.

I must take one egg since the top stock 140 does not blow well through the filter if barely at all. I added another fractal 140 and it did not improve it. They need to be pressure optimized fans. I'll replace them.

Bottom fan mount is a bit close to the PSU, so for modular PSUs the cable plugs could be blocked or very tight like in my situation.

I mounted my SSDs on the back originally and they did not make a lump in the side panel, even with the SSD power plug is a 90* plug. It was very snug.

Other Thoughts: This case has 6 drive mounts plus two back side SSD mounts and for sure 5 fans (6 perhaps), so this would make an "attractive" file server. Matter of fact if i don't get a rack mount, I'll get another one of these just for that. This is just a really really nice case! I've been buying them since 1999 and this is by far my favorite one.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Great room for expandability for such a "small" case. Room for 3 radiators if mounted on bottom top and front. The top vent holes are offset because they allow you to instal a push pull thick rad and still not interfere with your Motherboard. Great set up for airflow and can maximize effectiveness of cooling the temps in your rig. comes with 3 fans a 140mm and two 120mm fans.

Cons: Besides being labeled as a Mini its not small as some other cases I've seen in Micro ATX but still a nice size case. Can't think of much else so far.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but came with a broken fan

Pros: Clean design. I wanted a window and good cooling but not the gaudy shapes of some of the other brands. Easy to use design with good cable management.

Cons: The top fan came with the blades disconnected. not sure if this is normal or not. The other ones were connected. I put the blades back on, but it does not function properly no matter which fan plug I put it in. The fan moves slightly when I turn it on but does not spin.

Other Thoughts: I would like to have a third working fan, but it is not worth returning the whole case.

5 out of 5 eggsLove the case

Pros: Very nice aesthetic. The front looks great and the ventilation is FANtastic. :l
The tinted side panel does look sleek however if you're planning to have an illuminated interior be aware that you'll need much more light for it to shine through well.

I'm very happy with the size- being a college kid the full tower that I had before was just a pain to tote around. See other thoughts for some opinions on size.

Cons: I'm not sure if I read it wrong but I thought there was room for a 280mm rad up top without removing the 5.25 bay cage. In order to fit my NZXT kraken x60 I would have had to do that, but I ended up screwing it in to the incorrect holes to shift it towards the back by about a centimeter. The back fan had to be removed, and it isn't quite as sturdily mounted but I'm happy with the result nonetheless. Some might not have been, though.

Other Thoughts: So here's a little spiel on case sizes these days. I downsized from a nzxt 630. I love that case, pleasure to build in and very attractive.
However, I would say there aren't very many reasons to have a case that large. It helps with airflow a little, and is certainly much easier to build in, but aside from that its a pain to move and takes up a lot of space.

I learned that uatx and even itx motherboards have the same features and capabilities of their atx counterparts. (at least for intel chipsets, amd not so much). The only benefits from full atx boards are the increased expandability, but tri/quad sli aren't nearly as beneficial as they used to be. Basically, if it can be small, why not let it be?
There are some extremely high quality uatx cases out there, and I feel like they get overlooked next to their giant counterparts.
That's my opinion on the matter.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Top-tier case with plenty of vents and grilles for maximum airflow. It can accommodate tons of fans; if you go with a dual push/pull radiator with 360mm on top and 240mm on front, you can have 12 120mm fans inside this case!

Filters work really well. After about a week of use, they started looking like vacuum cleaners because they were that efficient.

I love the top panel layout. Everything is available even when the tower is on the ground. The USB 3.0 headers are an added bonus too. Also of note is that this is the first computer part I've seen which has a 2.0 fallback header for mobos without 3.0 support.

Hard drive cages are highly customizable, with both front-facing and side-facing layouts. In fact, it's safe to say that everything about this case is customizable!

Cons: The window tint may be a little too black for most people. I am fine with it, though.

The ODD cage, once it's removed, may be a pain to put back. Mine warped over time and I had to force it back in, but eventually it was put back into place.

The included fan controller is kinda suckish, but it does its job.

The CPU backplate cutout is a little misaligned, making the bottom standoffs a little difficult to install. Not much of an issue if you install the backplate first before installing the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: The case can accommodate a regular 25mm rear fan only if the radiator is thin/short enough; that is, to put into perspective, a H100i in push configuration gives the grille just enough space for a regular case fan. If you are planning on a thicker radiator or a push/pull configuration which might intrude into the fan's space, you might want a low-profile fan. I have my H100i in push/pull, and I needed a 15mm fan which just barely fit.

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't live up to the hype...

Pros: Lots of dust filters, one of the best micro atx layouts for water cooling, minimalistic style, quiet

Cons: The grill on the top of my case is slightly indented in spots causing it to appear bent when looking at the case at certain angles.

The fan speed controller is cheapo and the the 7v setting will cause many power supplies to short, crashing your system, and potentially damage components.

Cable management behind the right side panel is so tight it's nearly impossible to get the side panel on if you have many sata drives or peripherals...

One of my hard drive cages was missing the rubber feet for mounting my drives.

The fit and finish of this case leaves something to be desired. Some of the gaps and plastic molding appear to be cheaply made and assembled. Doesn't look as refined as other cases I have owned. My case did not look as good as the pictures.

Other Thoughts: Still on the fence on whether or not to return this product. This is my first Fractal case. I don't like to bring up other brands in my reviews, but I will say that I have had much better experiences with other cases.

I gave this case 2 stars because of all the features it has.
