2 out of 5 eggsLook elsewhere...

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Four USB ports.
Side window (practically useless since you cannot see nothing through it).
Green...

Cons: Flimsy case doors.
Drive latches are very fragile.
Poor airflow.
Fans are somewhat loud.
Terrible metal brackets for expansions cards.
Very small for a mid-tower.
Paint chips too easily.
Frame bends A LOT.
Hardware is very congested.
No instruction manual.

Other Thoughts: Look elsewhere...
This case has been nothing but problems. My advise, stay away from DIYPC. They may look great but they're complete junk.

You get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks Nice, Not actually nice

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: The case is pretty slick lookin'. Adequate room and decent airflow for my specific setup.

Cons: You know those hexagonal standoff screws that cases have? You set the motherboard on 'em and then screw it onto them. Well, the screws that came with my case weren't properly threaded. Any of 'em. I had to gank the mounting screws from my old case in order to get this thing set up. Might have been a manufacturing defect, but it didn't have much of a problem getting through their quality control.

Other Thoughts: If the bits had all fit together out of the box, it would have been a decent buy.

5 out of 5 eggsnot bad....

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: I build computers, about 10 a year, so I try not to use same case so friends and family feel unique... Even though most "basic" builds have same specs....its a nice case for an average gaming rig....if you want to run sli or crossfire go with full tower. All and all I would buy again.

Cons: Non that come to me.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price!

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Not a bad little case. $24.99 with rebate.

Cons: Has a cheap feel.

Other Thoughts: If you're using an older power supply you might need an atx 12v extension.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the price

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Sturdy.
Four USBs (two 3.0 and two 2.0) ports off the bat.
Plenty of space.
Very good price for what you get.
It's green.
Cool design.
Cheap.

Cons: Extension bay metal spacers on the very back of the case are snap-off and can be only taken off permanently.
Green CD/DVD Drive holders are flimsy (can be fixed by using screws to hold them instead).

Other Thoughts: Overall, the pros out weigh the cons. I'm very impressed by this case and would likely see buying DIYPC Cases in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the money

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Great looking case with good room inside. Front USB and headphone jacks are easily accessible. Enough ventilation to keep my R9 290 running under 70 C at full load.

Cons: Cannot get screws into standoffs for the motherboard. PCI card holder on outside is extremely fragile.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Cheap. Has the bare bones in terms of number of internal bays and external. Integrated card reader. (Uses the onboard USB. 4pin connector)
Includes an LED fan, and a non LED fan.
USB 3.0
Sizeable enough to comfortably build a mid atx rig.
Can fit a full ATX board and large CPU cooler
Looks to be liquid cooled compatible...NOT FOR BEGINNERS though, doing that. Be aware there is no place for a radiator though, there are just round holes pre-scored on the back that hoses could fit through.
Comes with a decent number of standoffs (A few more wouldn't hurt.)

Cons: The product is advertised as having lots of room for drives, but consider the amount of cable, even after it's routed away, that is in the case itself and how that may affect you room to work with when installing a full atx board. The metal is a little thin, so once it's loaded up, avoid lifting it by squeezing infrom the sides. The mesh areas bend easily, and the external bay covers are next to useless once you remove them. (The tabs all cracked from the pressure needed to remove the bay covers.) So, overall care should be taken with the case...pretty much what you would do with any computer anyway, so no major change there. The pci slots...don't remove any you're not using right away. There are no blanking plates included, the slot itself is initially covered with thin metal that you have to punch out before using. The little latch assembly designed to hold PCI cards, that falls off. The two internal drive bays with the quick mount tabs (green, plastic things) don't really work. They hold my disc drives...but the fit on one of the drives was a bit loose, allowing it to easily be shoved back into the case...right into my RAM sticks. Additionally, there are three of the things, the top one being a mystery to me as there is no drive bay there...it's where the little board for the LED and USB ports is. You'll understand what I mean if you get this case.

Other Thoughts: If you have the extra ten or twenty dollars to spare, I'd say go ahead and splurge a bit more, especially if you plan on going with an ATX board. If you're looking for a cheap case to CRAM some decent components into, this will do well. The window is a nice feature, and once built, it really looks GREAT. Building a full atx board though, expect to do a fair amount of knuckle scraping, and potentially swearing.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

This review is from: DIYPC Solar-M1-G Black/Green SECC ATX Mid Tower USB 3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 2 x 120mm Green Fans

Pros: Honestly, my parents got me this case for christmas because mine was just no longer cutting it. I was a little weird for her to order it seeing all the negative comments but I gave it a shot. Honestly, Idk what many people are thinking but the case has amazing air flow, perfect cable managment, no screws have stripped, and everything fits properly and holds together nicely. All in all this case is amazing. I bought some LED's for it as well. I would recommend this to anyone beginner to advanced. Case is very easy to realize what goes where and all the ports/buttons work with no problem. I did not get my dented and everything is perfect!

Cons: Only con I would say I have is that it should have a seperate hard drive LED because it blinking Red on top of the green power button is a bit odd to the cases color scheme but none the less I have no regrets to this case

Other Thoughts: If you are new at building computers or at least just exchanging cases, then watch some youtube videos.
