can it hold an optical disk drive?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are two 5.25 external bays that will serve to hold an optical disk drive.
The difference from other cases is that the drive will only have the front screw mount on the right side of the drive. There are two screw mount locations on the left side, so there is absolutely no problem with the stability of the drive, since it is firmly held by three screws - two on either side in the front, and one on the left side in the rear of the drive.

Does it include motherboard stand-offs in the case, with the case or none at all?

It comes with stand-offs. If I remember correctly it came with the basic ATX, and then there were a few in the bag of extras.

Are the fans on the Black Window Model LED lit?

No, fans have a black boarder and white fins. They are not lit in any way. The white fins work well if you're thinking about adding your own lights into your computer case though as they easily reflect light. Case fans with LED lights are cheap and are easy to replace the ones that come with this case.

how is cable management?

My first build, but there is a removable panel behind the part where you would mount the MB that allows for easy wiring.  There are plenty of slots to run wires through, but the edges are rounded not covered by rubber.  
   I was able to assemble mine where you can't see most of the cabling at all except the VC power; I think it looks good, and definitely can suggest this case.

Hi there, just a quick question. Where are all the fans located? And also are the fans 3 pin or 4 pin, because my MOBO does not have many ports so i need to plan for a splitter!

The fan controller plugs into a four pin molex connector from the power supply. The fans have three pin connectors that all attach to the fan controller. You could connect them to the motherboard instead if you wanted to. I found I like having the fans on low, and then I turn them up to game.
There are two fans in front, two on top, and one in the rear. They are all 120mm.

As a side note, I found that with my set up having the two top fans blow air in made my whole system cooler by a few degrees Celsius. Normally people say to have them blow out because hot air rises. In this case it seems to work better with more positive pressure. Don't be afraid to change the fan configuration to fit your build.

Does it have a reset button?

Yes its pretty tiny that you have to use a pen to press the reset button next to power button.

Question 7

Is there a place to mount a ssd on the window side? I thought I read one guy said there was. But I've researched so many cases I just might be confused. It would be nice to show off my Samsung 840 Pro.

Yes, you can see the eight slots (just to the rear of the top front fan) that will hold two 2.5" drives (horizontally) on either side of the wall. 
If you really want to show off the SSD, I might just put it on top of the PSU "tunnel" on the bottom of the case. If you are handy, you could drill some SSD mounting holes through this prior to installing anything, or you could velcro a minimal bracket in your preferred high visibility location. Cable routing will likely be cleaner by using the designed-in mounting locations between the fan and the motherboard.
Good Luck - I really like this case for my Asus Pro Gaming / Aura MB - the color-changing LEDs reflect off the suggested  "tunnel" location nicely.

Question 8

Can i install a big heat sink in this case, with an atx motherboard?

Yes. If you're looking to put a heat sink as large as the 212 Evo or even the V8 gts, it should fit but you'll be at the near maximum clearance. Also be sure to check your mother board ram slots and hub covers just in case. More than likely you'll run into motherboard clearance issues than you will with the case. This case that you're also looking at also supports ATX motherboards.

Question 9

First time builder with a few questions.

Is dust an issue. Seems like the front grill isn't a filter really. Or is it. Could the filter off the top be used on the front? Seems like you really don't need a filter on top since air is blowing out.

What about heat. Like I said I'm a new builder I don't know anything about computers,,,,lol. Yet. I'm not sure if the fan on my psu is working right. I never see it running except for on start up. Or when I shut the pc off and turn it back on. does this have a thermostat. And does the the hhd's get hot enough that they need cooling.

SWill the front fans really be able to help.

I've owned this case for almost a year now and I've had some but very little dust in the system itself.  I don't expect any case to ever be 100% dust free.  If you have your fans setup for a positive pressure in the case you should be just fine.  To specifically address your question, the top dust filter isn't entirely necessary if you're using it as an exhaust but depending on how you're setting up your cooling you may want to consider (as I did) to use the top fans for intake to keep the pressure positive.  Temps have been great for me so far but I don't do any crazy overclocking or anything.

Regarding your PSU question - many power supplies are designed to not need the fan to run unless there's a certain level of power draw being put upon it.  Especially with the higher wattage PSUs.  The average system even with a high end CPU and GPU doesn't pull even 400W of actual power use.

Re: HDD temps - I've never had a real issue with HDDs overheating except in cases where there is little to no room around them nor air flow.

i Plain on doing my first pc build and was wondering if this one would be a good choice? and what all i need cause im still having trouble.

This is a good one for a first build. I'm still saving for the rest of my parts, but I got this case early to see how I would like looking at it all the time. It's pretty. Google pcpartpicker to start a mockup build, they have a full list of required components and common peripherals. If you get stuck on choosing a power supply wattage, Corsair's website has a calculator where can enter in your exact hardware and it will provide you a stable and recommended wattage. Good luck!
