Does GTX 1080 fit in it?

It should. I bought this case for my son's build and put a GTX 1050 in it and there was still plenty of room left over for a much larger card. The 1080 lists at 10.5" in length. When I measured the area in the case I came in around 11"-12" of clearance in length in there. There's plenty of height also. Hope this helps. (nice case btw for the money)

(this might be a stupid question) Does the case come with optical drive compatibility?

Yes. It has 3 slots I believe for drives. It's hard to tell from the pics because they put nice covers on the holes for the drives.

How would you install a card reader? I have a card reader in a 3.5" bay in my old case that I want to use in this one. It only looks like the 5.25" bays are front accessible.

You will need a 5.25 to 3.5 converter. They are usually about $10-20. However, with a little bit of modding, you could also repurpose a hard drive tray for your card reader and access it through one of the front side panels, as they are designed for easy access to the 3.5 inch bays.
