2 out of 5 eggsToo much hassle.

Pros: 2 free games, for purchased a slightly older gpu, awesome!

Cons: Upon redeeming the first code on AMD's site, I waited over an hour for an email that only contained more codes. My games were Hitman Absolution and Far Cry 3 (Mind you, I was itching to play Far Cry 3 already). So the email tells me to go to uPlay's site, add to cart, fill out fields, enter promo code, submit order. I did all that but before I clicked submit order it still showed a total of $42.19. I sent them an email, and have yet to hear back. So I only got Hitman out of the deal so far.

Other Thoughts: Still a bonus I guess, would have been nice for the whole thing though.

3 out of 5 eggsWhy does it say it in the specs then?

Pros: - All Black with Orange accents
- Lightweight
- Plenty of space for cable managing a budget rig, not sure how it would fare with multiple-gpu's where cables are concerned.
- Plenty of ventilation/fan mounts

Cons: In the specs it clearly says it comes with a pre-installed 12cm fan. The box even said it when it was delivered, however upon unboxing, there was no fan and I had to wait to build my rig because I didn't go out and purchase a fan for this reason. Contacted customer service, and just heard back from them this morning,

"Hello Shawn,

The Asgard 381 do not come with a pre-installed fan, the line where it says that it does on the box should be crossed out. This comes directly from the manufacturer without any fan.

I apologize for any confusion this may have caused you.

Thank you
Gonzalo Cedeno"

...Should be crossed out? You think?! How about not printed on with the rest of the specs!

Other Thoughts: I was really happy with this case for the price, but was really peeved about the no fan situation, 3 stars.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent case with tons of problems

Pros: Convenient no-tool HDD bays.
Fits CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo (just barely)
Nicely ventilated and spacious case.

Cons: Didn't come with pre-installed fan (was supposed to).
USB 3.0 slots too tight.
Motherboard stand-offs are in the wrong place for ATX.
USB motherboard header wires came out during first installation (far too lose).

Other Thoughts: Pretty bad build overall, I can't say that I would recommend it. It is a decent case for the price though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Well built, lots of space, bays and fan cutouts. No razor sharp edges. Love the top/front button access and how the cables are organized internally. Almost a completely tool-less case design, except for mounting the motherboard.

Cons: No place for mounting a 2.5" ssd that I could find, though the manual discusses 3.5/2.5 mounting option. I've never had a bottom-mounted PSU before, a litte concern of having the pci slots right in front of the PSU fan outlet vent. I don't trust the little plastic tabs they use for HDD mounting, but I have no experience with them either ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case!

Pros: There is plenty of room in the case, cable routing is very nice and the screwless design is nicely done. There are plenty of fan locations for airflow. The feet on the bottom of the case are nice and tall for a bottom mount PSU with the fan facing the bottom air vents. The buttons, front USB and audio jacks are nicely placed for a machine that will sit on the floor under the desk. The finish of the case is nice and seems durable.

Cons: None to date.

Other Thoughts: The instructions address each feature, but are very sparse...not a big deal though.

5 out of 5 eggsVery impressed

Pros: Big enough for full ATX motherboard, mounting points for a lot of fans, which really doesn't seem well documented anywhere, so I'll list them (none are included):

Front: 2 120mm fans
Rear: 1 120mm fan
Side: 2 120/140mm fans
Top: 2 120/140mm fans

Bottom is not listed anywhere, but there appears to be a mounting point for a 120mm fan just behind the PSU.

Toolless EVERYTHING! 8 3.5" drive bays, 3 5.25" drive bays (one can be converted to 3.5"), 7 pci/pci-e bays, all toolless, there are screw holes on the pci slots, but boards don't move at all when the arm is locked in place, so I didn't find it necessary to use any screws.

Front panel looks really nice, includes audio jacks for headphone/microphone, and two USB 3.0 (2.0 compatible) ports, feels really sturdy, not flimsy at all.

This feels like a $70 case, and it's on sale for $35. Hands down, the best mid-tower case for the price.

Cons: Won't make me a sandwich. Aside from that, none so far.

Other Thoughts: I was really blown away by this case. I hadn't had a Xigmatek board before, so I really didn't know what to expect. This case looked good, fit an ATX motherboard, and had pretty much everything I was looking for in the sub-$50 range, but for $35 I really wasn't expecting this. This case is much much more than I expected. I like it better than the $80 case I have for my personal computer, but feel it's maybe a little big for a micro-ATX motherboard like mine. This case is made for ATX, and supports up to 3 dual-slot video cards. My computer was built for single-card gaming...this case can do so much more.

Some people might complain that it doesn't come with fans, but it never claims to. I found the case on Xigmatek's website, and the pictures show the case with a rear fan....it also shows it with a clear panel on the side. This does not have a clear panel, the pictures on Newegg ARE ACCURATE. What you see in those pictures is what you'll be getting.

Buy some fans. I went with a handful of MASSCOOL FDV12025L1L34 120mm fans. If you want to maximize your cooling, go with 4 140mm fans and 3 120mm fans. I'd recommend the Cougar VF-12 and 14 because they're quiet and move a lot of air, and match the case perfectly. Or if you want, buy some fans with pretty lights.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent price for a basic case that supported USB 3.0 front panel. The tool free installation for the drives is nice, as well the case screws being the finger kind vs a standard screw.

Cons: As was already mentioned, the case does not come with a fan. I already expected this as it was mentioned by a few others. However I also had the same issue with the front panel audio. I had hoped that it was just a one time occurance, but this one also seemed to be reversed. However the sound also appeared to be weak, and more importantly, I was not able to use a microphone in either port (both would detect a plug had been inserted). I was unable to find information needed in order to re-wire it correctly, and I tried 2 times to contact the manufacturer but have received no response either. If this wasn't a problem, it would make for a decent case.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: It's an excellent Case for the money. The screw-less quick release bays work well And it's USB 3.0 Compatible.
Plenty of Space inside.

Cons: Could have used a little bit more space behind the motherboard tray for routing cables. But I still managed to Get everything organized.
