Diablotek Abyss mid tower case, like the fierce Diablo with overwhelming power, delivers robust performance and features you demand from a mid-range case. All black coating, from inside out, adds up overall quality and evokes a sense of high grade. You'll also appreciate the 0.6mm thick SECC steel construction that delivers enough strength and durability for heavy duty use. Other features such as front panel dual USB 3.0 ports, tool free drive bay design, bottom mounted PSU, 330mm graphics card support and water cooling compatibility make the Abyss a great choice whether you build a new rig or relocate existing system.

  • newegg Spacious Interior The Diablotek Abyss comes with ample inner space to accommodate ATX/Micro ATX motherboards and high end graphics card up to 330mm in length.
  • newegg Superior Cooling 1x 120mm rear exhaust TurboFan along with front air vents deliver efficient ventilation and effective system cooling.
  • newegg Easy Assembly The Diablotek Abyss's tool-less design offers an easy assembly with minimal use of screws.
  • newegg Bottom Mounted Power Supply The server style bottom mounted power supply receives cool air and hardly heats up, which provides great ventilation. Having the power supply on the bottom, its weight can also help keep the PC tower more stable.
  • newegg Water Cooling Ready The Diablotek Abyss features two aperture holes with rubber protection at the rear for installing water cooling systems.
  • newegg USB 3.0 Multi I/O Panel 2X USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports and 2x audio ports on top panel allow easy connection to a wide range of peripherals.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case but sd card

Pros: Case is great i love the slightly fogged side window and the ease of the cable managemnt. Air floaw and space are not a issue for my gigbyte board. The case is a major improvement over the second hand cooler master i was previously using

Cons: My main cons are the lack of front panel 2.o usb ports but i kenw of that before hand but the big one is the fact that the case is set up for a sd card reader that is there even has a cut out for it wiht a blank over it

Other Thoughts: either install a sd card reader or dont cut the hole

3 out of 5 eggsYou can find better for the price

Pros: Cheap
Nice fans
Pretty cool design
Large side window

Cons: Cheaply built
Horrible hard drive mounting system
Colored cables look hideous
Sd card reader slot does not work?

Other Thoughts: Bought this when they were offering a $50 rebate on the case, making it pretty much free. OK basic case, mostly plastic, metal parts are very thin and cheap. Fans are pretty nice and quiet.

I moved my components from my Phantom 410 into this for a week just to try out the case. Temps went up on all components 5C due to the bad airflow.

I would rather get the Antec 300 for the price this sells at.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Looks nice, stock fan is nice and bright

cable management is a pain, but doable

Cons: SO MUCH CASE VIBRATION. have to swing my pc a little in order to get things to stop, also have weights on top of case because that fixes this

also my GPU can reach 100C with the side panel on, but with the same game/settings it will only reach 76C with the side panel off.

Other Thoughts: for 15$, i got case worth exactly 15$. if i bought this for the retail price i would be MAD.

4 out of 5 eggsIt was free so meh

Pros: Got it for $50 with $50 in rebates
Fan filters in the front and bottom of the case
Decent cable management.
I/O USB 3.0 header comes with a USB 2.0 adaptor
Looks pretty decent after my mods :)

Cons: Poorly designed.
Front fan comes connected directly to the bezel which is strange though it can be moved onto the case itself.
Adding an extra intake fan in the front blocks the external 3.5" bay even though there are connection points for the fan there so you have to choose which one you want.
Toolless adapters don't fit on the removable GPU plate even though there are holes there for them.
I/O panel has a SD card slot even though it isn't supported by the case.
Only comes with 2 fans though I was able to get 6 in there after modding.
There is VERY little room at the top of the case. I managed to add a blowhole fan to it but I had to saw off the corners of the fan so that it wouldn't touch the mobo.
Not very roomy in general. I got decent cable management and everything to fit but it took some finagling.

Other Thoughts: While I found this case to be pretty shoddily designed I got it for free due to Newegg being awesome. SO, can't really complain. Also, since I got it for free I decided to try my hand at modding. It was FUN!

I managed to get 6 fans in the case, but stock it only supports 4. There are connections in the front for a 4th fan that for some reason no website mentions, not even the Diablotek site. I would guess this is because if you choose to put a fan there it prevents you from using the external 3.5" drive bay. I don't need it, so it was nice to have 2 intake fans in the front. The front bezel is also a giant filter so that is nice. The fan filters on the bottom are for the PSU and the optional bottom fan. They remove easily and are pretty convenient.

Would probably have rated it 3 eggs if I paid full price for it.

4 out of 5 eggsDiablotek Abyss case review

Pros: - Cost/Value for dollar spent
- Plenty of room
- Filters for lower fans
- Attractive (for a case, that is...)
- Adequate cable management

Cons: - No top mounted fans
- Sharp edges (watch your fingers)
- Tool-less drive hardware is useless, I used screws instead

Other Thoughts: I ordered this case last week and it arrived three days later. I moved everything over from a CoolerMaster RC430 case that had no cable management whatsoever. This case is a good value as it porovides what I was lookig for, a good basic case with adequate cable management. Bottom-mounted power supply, front USB ports, basic looking but nice. Nothing fancy, the tool-less drive plastic bits are useless and I used old school screws to attach my hard drives and DVD drive. Very spacious case as my video card is small (not a gamer). Air flow is excellent and I especially like the filters provided for the bottom mounted fan. A good "value" case...

3 out of 5 eggsNot Worth The $55 tag

Pros: Looks Decent and has decent air flow and USB 3.0 ports.

Cons: Not the most room to work with and Cold Cathodes are a pain to fit for those who want them.

Other Thoughts: At $40 they were a good deal but at $55 there are better cases and deals to be had.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: USB 3.0, cheap

Cons: meh, not really.

Other Thoughts: For $40 this is a solid case. For $140 I wouldn't be impressed but @ $40 I am pretty happy. I submitted the rebate and I hope I get it. If I don't, I'll be ticked off about not getting what I was promised--but I would buy another of these if I had need.

5 out of 5 eggsBargain price and a rebate too

Pros: Forgot to mention the $15 rebate that was coupled with the $29.99 sales price case cost less than $25 with shipping. Thanks Newegg.

Cons: Already address them in my first review.
