ECO-Surge eliminates phantom loads by automatically turning off special energy-saving outlets when you turn off the device connected to the “Master” outlets (i.e. PC, netbook, etc). When the Master device is powered off or placed on standby, power to the 8 Power Save outlets is automatically cut, preventing devices like DVD players, gaming consoles, and speaker systems from continuing to consume power. For devices such as DVRs and cable boxes that require continuous power, 3 Always On outlets are provided. An Auto/Manual Switch allows users to switch between green power-save mode and standard surge protection mode.
