1 out of 5 eggsGot a bad one

Pros: Liked the fact that this cable is sheathed.

Cons: Ground wire came loose from the MB connector. After discovering this, I noticed that the ground wire was somewhat malformed near the insertion point to the connector, indicating a manufacturing glitch. I re-wired the good half to an old USB MB connector I'd saved from an old computer to make this cable usable.

Other Thoughts: I got a bad one, but I think that was just the luck of the draw.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect thing

Pros: I used this to come off the internal motherboard header, and attach a sub flash drive. it is perfect, and a little 2sided sticky tape works to keep it in place.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: possibly a little longer

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plugs into your motherboard headers, give you a USB port inside of your case. I used it for a thumb drive to boot my FreeNAS box.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsYup!

2 out of 5 eggsBe careful!

Pros: It works as a internal USB dongle.

Cons: I smoked two USB flash drives because I didn't plug it in correctly. Be very, very careful and make sure you line up the pins correctly.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra $0.02 and include a nine pin connector.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: -works

Cons: -none

Other Thoughts: One of my CAD programs requires a USB dongle to be in the computer at all times or it will shut off (it's a licensing thing). This dongle is expensive and hard-to-replace. Now I have it inside of the computer case where it won't get knocked off, damaged, or stolen. Plus now my external USB port that it was in is free!

I bought a second one of these adapters and put my wireless keyboard/mouse's wireless dongle into the case too. This lowered their effective range (probably since the case blocks the signal a bit). I ended up deciding to move that dongle back outside of the case.

NewEgg shipped both adapters quickly and they arrived in excellent condition.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Works great. You can buy two to use on one full-size motherboard header, but one will work by itself.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These are great, combined with a SATA to USB adapter and a 5.25" SATA drive bay to make an easy internal drive reader.

5 out of 5 eggsShould be perfect for ReadyBoost

Pros: Looking for a simple solution to have an internal USB flash drive dedicated to Windows ReadyBoost. This is just the ticket. Small and affordable.

Cons: none.
