5 out of 5 eggsSetup guide

Pros: - Does what it's supposed to do
- If you set this up right, you can control 5 fans to run at < 100% speeds, which is great if you like the quiet.
- Works with regular 3-pin and PWM 4-pin fans. You'll need at least 1 PWM fan connected to this for it to work correctly.

Cons: A bit tricky to set up, especially with no instructions. Wish there was a 4.5 egg rating.

Other Thoughts: Okay, so here's how you set this thing up. This splitter has:

1 male 4-pin plug
Connect this to the CPU 4-pin fan control. Do not connect this anywhere else on the mobo, even if you have some other 4-pin outlet somewhere. I made this mistake. I was greeted with server-room noise levels upon startup.

4 female 3-pin plugs like this: o o x o
Connect these to any PWM or regular 3-pin fan. Note that 3-pin fans will connect like this: o o o x

1 female 4-pin plug like this: o o o o
Connect this to a PWM fan.

1 molex plug
Connect this to your PSU.

When you start up your computer, if you have your fans running at 100%, check that your BIOS is set up correctly. The CPU fan should NOT read 0. If it does, you've set it up wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended 4pin PWM

Pros: Works as advertise, will stretch across motherboard to all fans.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Careful when plugging in, make sure all pins are straight otherwise you may bend the pins. I bent one of the pins, but it did not break.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked as Expected

Pros: Used to connect 5 PWM fans to one molex for power (didn't need the motherboard controls for this project).
Supplied enough for 3 140mms, 2 80mms on a split themselves, and 2 40mm fans.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Allows users to run many fans off of PSU power but still have the Mobo control the speed. Works great and as advertised.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: 5 fan connection, nice braided cables, pwm control.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have a case that has 4 fans and the pump connection for watercooling and a m-ix motherboard that only has 2 fan headers. I didn't want to run several fans at full speed. This works perfectly for my needs.

Has really nice sleeving on the cables, too bad they are all behind my motherboard and you can't see them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cost

Pros: They're braided, cheap, and do the job.

Cons: They're not cheaper than they are.

Other Thoughts: I bought two packs of these (one just for backup, ended up giving it to my friend who started to build his own pc).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat itility

Pros: Sleek black braided cable with 5 fan connectors, 1 power connector and 1 fan header connector. This is useful if your motherboard has only one or two system/case fan headers, which was my issue: my mobo is the GA-78LMT and it has only one system header, so of my existing three fans, two of them were connected directly by molex to the PSU, which meant they ran at 100% all the time.
With the Evercool cable, you can connect five fans. One of the five connectors is a 4-pin PWM connector, so the fan connected to this acts as the guidance for all the other fans connected to the Evercool cable. To use the cable, connect a PWM 4-pin fan to the 4-pin connector, and the rest of your 3-pin fans to the 3-pin connectors. Then plug in the molex connectorand the system fan header. You can use Speedfan or similar software to manage your fans down to 10 or 20% of their normal speed to manage noise levels, note you may have to disable fan variation in your BIOS to get these programs functioning properly.
The cable itself has plenty of length, and it's also very flexible so cable management is easy.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if the package included sleeving to keep the cables bundled together but that's purely cosmetics.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfect

Pros: Works right away. I have a micro- MB so Fan input was limited and I just installed it is a huge case for optimal airflow. They had 3 fans already on the case but the MB only supported one fan. This cord was perfect for what I needed.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Thanks for a solution to my problem.

5 out of 5 eggsa must

Pros: it's a must if you don't have a lot of fan plug, or the fan plug isn't too long, you can plug 5 fan on one cable, less cable to manage at back

Cons: if you broke the 4pin your screw
