Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: This board is fast and reliable. plenty of memory. e-sata works well.

Cons: Audio has never worked under Vista. On Board video is very basic. Intel support for this board is lackluster. MB temp gets a little high under intense loads. (with 3 fans) another PCI slot would be nice.

Other Thoughts: In the beginning I had a heck of a time getting the onboard audio to work at all. I finally gave up and ended up buying a SB X-fi Titanium (pci express due to only one pci slot, taken up by my wireless). the frustration alone was worth the 40 dollars. I replaced the video with Nvidia 8600 GTS.

Recently, I made a huge mistake with diskeeper running boot time defrag on vista w/sp1 and had to reinstall vista. (I knew better, I swear)

I moved in the past year, could not find the original intel CD for install.. contacted Intel tech support and they informed me that they do not have active monitor available for the G33 and had no ETA as to when it would be released. Simple fact is that it's ON the original CD and was working fine until a few days ago.

All in all. this is not the best board intel has to offer. if you intend on purchasing your own audio/video (which most people would tell you that you should do) this is a decent mb. the raid is nice and the e-sata works well

Pros: Easy installation into my Thermaltake MicroATX case, worked the second I hooked everything up and powered it on, been using it for about 4 months now and haven't had any problems. Love all the USB 2.0 and the fiber optic out

Cons: On board video processor is a little weak. I do wish it had more PCI x16 slots

Other Thoughts: Put a Intel 2 Quad 2.5 GHz and installation was easy. Using fiber optics to my surround sound is awesome and sounds great. Gaming on my 50" panasonic plasma has never been better....

Pros: It wasnt DOA like others. Its not a terrible mother board, but it does have its issues. I would spend a little extra and get something better.

Cons: My biggest issue with the board is that it is incompatible with my internal Linksys card. I had to go buy a $100 USB wireless card to have internet via our linksys router. The audio is useless. Can not over clock.

Other Thoughts: I like it enough to not spend the money on a new board, but that day is soon approaching.
