5 out of 5 eggsIt just works...

Pros: It just works... Paired this with an Intel Pentium E5500 2.8GHz Dual-Core Desktop Processor "BX80571E5500", and 4GB Patriot DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) "PSD34G1333K". Tossed on a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT 1GB PCIe video card from a previous build and viola! Runs World of Warcraft without a hitch. Handles Heavy video encoding/decoding flawlessly, as well as everything else I've thrown at it. I've definately gotten a deal here considering that this board will handle an Intel Core 2 Quad.

Cons: My only disappointment is that this board does not support the Intel Desktop Utilities, but this is an "Essential Series" board afterall.

Other Thoughts: Not all socket 775 Intel processors will work all in socket 775 Intel motherboards.

3 out of 5 eggsMemory Cap

Pros: A solid build. All components work as they should. Good for a Point Of Sale System that doesn't require much memory.

Cons: Memory cap on this motherboard is 4GB. Very odd, you can put 8GB in and it registers it, but then the BIOS goes funky on it and video performance degrades as well as system performance. Tried multiple manufactures of memory and different combinations. Seems cap on memory is 4GB.

Other Thoughts: If your looking to put in more than 4GB RAM DO NOT USE THIS BOARD!

1 out of 5 eggsSound does not work

Pros: This is OK if you donot need any sound.

Cons: The sound does not work with Windows XP. I installed the sound driver several time, however sound does not work. I even talked to INTEL tech support and they were unable to fix the problem. I bought two boards and both has the same problem, no sound at all.

2 out of 5 eggsMy Last Intel Board

Pros: It Works. Kinda!

Cons: This is the third Intel Motherboard that I’ve owned over the years, and like the others, it sucks.

Other Thoughts: This company needs to stick with CPU’s, that’s about all they can

1 out of 5 eggsBeeps Here Also...

Pros: It's Cheap!

Cons: Got the three beeps that everyone is talking about. I contacted Intel and gave them my part number on the memory and they said the memory that came with the combo is not compatible. I am in the process of returning the DDR3 1333 memory. It also does not support IDE hard drives. Didn't try updating the Bios either.
