1 out of 5 eggsPartiall DOA Board

Pros: There's a lot of cool features on this board. DDR3 1600 support, USB 3.0, SATA 6.0gb/s, and SLI as well as crossfire. Also there's a cool skull with red led eyes that light up when the mobo is on.

Cons: Where to begin. Booted up the first time and got a POST error, ignored it and tried again. Tapped f10 to choose boot device, mobo got mad at me, beeped and reset. Tried again, same thing. Worked the 3rd time. Was able to install Windows 7 64x fine however once I got into Windows I encountered more problems. I installed the ethernet drivers, everything was fine. Rebooted the computer after installing my vid card drivers and the ethernet adapter was nowhere to be found in the control panel and Windows diagnosis said that there was a hardware failure. I uninstalled, reinstalled and it worked however after another reboot, same thing. I thought, ok, time to update the bios. The BIOS installed was the previous to latest release. I tried updating by creating a dvd as well as cd from Intel's site and it gave me an error saying there was no cd drive, even though it booted from it ok. Windows update failed the 5 times I tried it as well.

Other Thoughts: Overall, everything looks great on paper but I had nothing but problems. It's unbelievable how many things just didn't work. Oh I also forgot to mention that the 3pin fan connectors did not work either. They didn't power the fans at all.

5 out of 5 eggsStable Performance Board

Pros: Far above any of the other 'enthusiast' boards of similar pricing from other manufacturers that I've worked with as far as quality of components is concerned. The most noticeable aspect of such is definitely the slots/sockets - I've never had memory modules install so easily. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that they used LOTES for pretty much every slot and socket on the board, not just the CPU. Making use of such higher quality components is likely why their 'small' 6 phase VRM design can provide just as much amperage as the 10+ phase implementations of other manufacturers while being more efficient.

Cons: The SATA cables that come with it have the worst locking mechanism I've encountered - they're downright miserable to remove. The locking portion is a plastic extension of the connector instead of being a spring steel like all the others I've seen. It goes in just fine, but even with the tab fully depressed the two locking ridges still catch to some extent, requiring some amount of force to pull it free.

Other Thoughts: No issues to report thus far.

The 'BIOS' is certainly different, but actually all the options I'd expect of a board in this class. Also, the UEFI boot option is disabled by default, so if installing an OS that supports it you'll want to enable that first.

I believe most other important points are covered in the various tech website reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsDP67BG

Pros: Very solid board. The bios is plain and simple; make sure to update it to the latest when you put your computer together. Handles the i7-2600k @ 4.5 Ghz @ 1.32 vcore beautifully. Stable on prime95 after 24hours.

Cons: Bios takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out it is well worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice full feature board

Pros: Board has about everything you could need, installs flawless on win7 64 bit pro, supports 1600 ddr3 sata 6.0 yess after updates

Cons: OK in raid the sata 6.0 2 ports ran only at sata 1.5 and the sata 3.0 ports at 1.5, in IDE more ports were at 6.0 and 3.0 mode, a BIOS update resolved this issue to run at faster speeds

Other Thoughts: Would like to have 8 sata ports, I used an Itel 1156 extreme edition cooling cpu fan, never runs over 33 c on cpu, fast fast board and cpu , running fastest chip at present and speed test is fastest board except for an exteme xeon, best bang for the $$ 40% faster cpu marks than a core i7! WOW !!!

2 out of 5 eggsNice board, memory timings issues

Pros: Good price, up to date features, excellent software in general.

Cons: First one I got was DOA. Newegg was great about shipping a replacement without charge and.

New one worked, but enabling the XMP profile on my Mushkin redline 6-8-6-24 DDR3 1600Mhz chips lead to a non-booting system. Reading around online, this seems to be a common issue with this board in particular and P67 boards in general. I was eventually able to get it to boot with these settings, but only by flipping the "boot to bios" switch in the back, setting the timings in the bios, switching the boot to bios switch off and rebooting. Hopefully they'll fix this with a bios update, but pretty lame overall, especially with the amount you pay to get low-latency memory. Toms hardware reported the issue, and I only figured out how to get it to boot at 1600Mhz by searching online for others with the same issue who mentioned using the boot to bios jumpers on other P67 boards. According to Toms, booting higher than 1333Mhz with 4 DIMMs or 1600Mhz with 2 requires this boot up hack.

2 out of 5 eggsDriver and Sound Issues

Pros: Does what it needs to do for a reasonable price, but has a few issues.

Cons: Sound drivers/hookups seem to be broken. Randomly the sound will lock up and then explorer will lock up. Happens with three USB headsets I've tried as well as several 3.5mm headsets and speakers. All drivers are up to date.

Other Thoughts: Update the BIOS as soon as you get it.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product ... small trip up

Pros: -nice integrated product... very high quality
-has giga E, Buetooth, and wireless N all on board with good drivers and a antenna module included... sweet
-intel ICH 10 RAID took a RAID 0 array from an old ICH 7 and mounted it with no problem... awesome
-supports crossfire and sli... USB3.0, Sata 3,
- has status display LED, power, reset, and bios revert switches all on board
- has a Christmas tree of status / function LED's
- the Intel Extreme tuning utility works great, very easy to overclock
- fully loaded with 16GB ram and it started right up no problems
-came with locking SATA cables
-installed win7x64 without a hitch first try

Cons: - came with a pre production level BIOS, however I was already prepared to flash the newest BIOS with a usb dos boot stick, but I don't think we can complain about non newest BIOS with any motherboard... it's MB assembly 101 to flash the newest anytime you build a PC
- boot device order can sometimes change when making device config changes in Intel BIOS... this is an old thing and kind of a quirk with Intel boards, but if you are used to it, no biggie.

Other Thoughts: very nice product with very strong BIOS support... with longer warranty, great overclocking and better BIOS support I don't see why I would buy any other brand anymore.. it's just safer getting Intel
