5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good.

Pros: Runs Fedora 8 with everything supported. Has PCI-e and PCI slots. It's about as good as can be expected for this size and price. Quiet, fast enough, no surprises. CMOS setup has plenty of options to control system components.

Cons: Documentation is lacking, so some of the setup options are mysterious (HT spread spectrum, some kind of security chip that's disabled by default, etc).

Other Thoughts: I installed 2G patriot stick (N82E16820220088), Athlon 64 X2 3600+ with stock fan (N82E16819103046), Barracuda 7200.10 (N82E16822148140), two PCI gigabit ethernet cards (N82E16833156139), SATA DVD drive (N82E16827135143), and stuffed it all into an Enlight case (N82E16811116024). I'm happy with it so far. Running Fedora 8, using network cards bridge for sniffing and monitoring my network.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low price after rebate. Work with XP and Vista. Vista comes with all the drivers already. Very easy to setup.

Cons: BIOS only has two memory voltage settings (1.8v and 1.9v). BIOS can't set CPU multiplier.

Other Thoughts: Network driver (Realtek RTL8169) comes with Vista needs to be updated with the latest from Realtek.

1 out of 5 eggsno customer service

Pros: like the colors

Cons: After 20 minutes on hold with thier customer service, eventually was disconnected.

Other Thoughts: Just need information before purchase, primarily, what memory voltages can be set to.

1 out of 5 eggsNot again

Pros: None

Cons: Do not buy this board!

Newegg sent me one, it was DOA. So I RMA'd it and they sent me another. Another DOA. I went down to my local computer place, bought an Asus, and it booted right up.

Abit is not doing a very good job of checking them before they ship them.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy!

2 out of 5 eggsAbit NFM2S

Pros: Good price/performance for desktop and if you add a good PCI-E Video card it's great for gaming. I am very happy with the performance on all games (With a BFG 8600GS)I have tried HL2-CSS-FEAR QUAKE4 etc..

Cons: Bios issues on mine, My system time will jump forward 5 hours every couple days. I have ran all bios revisions on it and all seem to have problems from not reporting to windows the correct CPU/speed to integrated sound card problems. I run windows and Linux on it. I will be replacing it and putting it in my garbage if I can't resolve these issues.

Other Thoughts: I have had good luck with Abit before so I thought this would be rock solid like my Abit NF7S board was. this is a huge disappointment.

5 out of 5 eggsREALLY GOOD BUSINESS CLASS BOARD

Pros: All in one business class board which includes video and sound. The graphics are excellent for a business class board and my secretary even noticed that the sound: sounded better than the previous on board sound. Everything was plug and play with Vista and MS Office 2007. I coupled this with an AMD 5000 dual core 65 watt processor and 2 times 1 gig of Kingston KVR800D2K2/2GR memory. This is a BUSINESS CLASS BOARD, and it works perfectly for that reason.

Cons: Wish it had 4 sata ports instead of 2.

Other Thoughts: If you are setting up a business class computer - THIS IS THE BOARD TO BUY.

3 out of 5 eggsExpected a heatsink in such a big box

Pros: Good price on a low-range processor

Cons: I expected a retail box CPU to have a heatsink. When I looked, it did say no heatsink way down in the technical specs, but should definitely be more apparent from the item page. Even the live chat person didn't find it.

Other Thoughts: A $24 hidden cost on a $2700 order will lead me to sourcing parts from a competitor.
