4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Super duper cheap with rebate, yet pretty good.
Offers good overclocking functions.

Cons: Lack some features (but then again, with its price - it's expected)

4 out of 5 eggsgood price, average board

Pros: Came up and posted first time, has run reliably ever since.

Cons: No firewire support. Double boots occasionally after long periods of inactivity. Bios doesn't allow any manipulating of IDE settings, so it must re-detect one of my hard drives every time I re-start.

Other Thoughts: These are minor problems that may be fixed with a little tweaking, I just haven't got around to it yet.

4 out of 5 eggseasy build, lots of options

Pros: first machine i've built from the ground up in about 12 yrs. everything went together easily, booted right up. manual is reasonably easy to follow. lots of options in the bios for overclocking, setting RAM timings, etc. especially for an inexpensive board. board overclocked cpu and memory by 2% all by itself.

Cons: annoying 'monster truck' abit temp/voltage monitoring app. internal USB and front-panel audio connectors are inconveniently located (at the bottom of the board; mine are mounted at the top of the case)

Other Thoughts: abit IP-35E, Q6600, XMS2x1024-800 Corsair, SATA HD, 500W PS

5 out of 5 eggsGood MB for the Price...

Pros: Great P35 board for the cost, if I get the Rebate. It accepted my two 1gb sticks of Corsair XMS memory out of the box. Booted at 5-5-5-18, changed timming to 4-4-4-12 and voltage to 2.1v, booted no problem. Used my old E4300 processor from previous build and the mother board recognized it fine, I haven't over clocked yet because of of HSF constraints, the board looks too tight for the large Zalman 9700. Used a Segate 320gb SATA worked fine. Two IDE Samsung DVD Burners worked fine on one IDE slot, looking to get Samsung SATA Burner, only $30. No bells and whistles, well the heatsinks and board are blue. I can't say too much more, for $65 it has everything I needed for a 1-2 year build. Make sure you read the specs on what you need or want in a motherboard.

Cons: It has been two months and abit has not posted my rebate information on their website. I check in weekly on their site for rebate status. (I know rebates take forever so if i don't get it within another couple months I will be leaving this abit board with a one egg.. as this is why I bought the board for the COST AND THE FEATURES. Back to the Board, Double boot out of the box. Board came with Bios version 15. I rebooted again and it doesn't double boot. The board only double boots when it looses complete ac power, (you unplug the cord and drain the caps by pushing power button, when you plug back in and power on the board will run all the fans for a brief 2 seconds, powers down for 2 seconds, then boots normally, weird?) IP35-e is the IP35-pro minus some options. The on-board RealTek sound sucks if you use Team Speak and don't even think about tring it with your in-game chat turned on at the same time (Example:COD4).

Other Thoughts: Newegg is a great place to shop, not always the cheapest prices but from what I read their customer service and RMA's make up for it. Abit was printed on the MB but the IP35-E Sticker fell off as I took it out of the plastic bag.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great board for the Price!

Cons: First board I recieved was garbage, Many problems rendered it useless. After I RMA'd this board the second one was flawless

Other Thoughts: Good mobo as long as you don't recieve a defective one like many others have also reported.

1 out of 5 eggsCrash, BOOM! Old product

Pros: Worked great out of the box with an E8400. For a month....

Cons: I used the board for about a month and the system suddenly crashed. After swapping everything out (Thanks fries - sorry about all the returns!) I finally narrowed it down to the board. Doing my homework online it looks like the BIOS for whatever reason just went bad. I tried to RMA it with Abit (3 year warranty supposedly) and they said it's outside of the warranty because it was manufactured more than 3 years ago. So I basically gave away $65 after rebate.

Other Thoughts: While doing all my test part shopping at fries, I talked to two sales reps in the computer component department who both said they get a TON of returns on Abit boards. They both said they wouldn't use one and recommended ASUS or Gigabyte.

5 out of 5 eggsBest board I've ever bought!

Pros: This is a great board. Posted first time picked up all my hardware nice overclocking features. Nice looking board big heat sinks on the north and south bridge runs cool. When I ordered this board great price after rebate. would recimend this board to any one easy instal and setup. Good layout other then the ide connecter but if your still using the ide its time to wake up and spend some money on new drives. Abit hit this one out of the park great value. This is the best 60.00 bucks after rebate that I have ever spent.

Cons: No raid no firmware no screws or case sticker but no big deal.

Other Thoughts: Alienware case, Ip35-e board, Antec earth watts 500 psu, 74G Raptor HD, NEC optical, 4G of Muskin HP2-6400 Ram, Evga 8600gts E6300 Cpu. Runs soild and stable at 2.5 ram running at 1068. Buy this board you won't regretit.

1 out of 5 eggsNot with PentiumD805

Pros: Nice color.

Cons: The mainboard infos state that it is compatible with my Pentium D (mine is the D805). According to one reviewer "The MINIMUM FSB for the board is 200MHz.", which isn't mentioned anywhere on your webpage or the manufacturers manual. The Pentium D805 needs 20X133MHz FSB= 2666MHz, so @200MHz FSB it would be operating @ 4GHz!!! Miraculously my processor (and other hardware) wasn't damaged in the process. I don't know who's negligance this is, but it should be remedied.

Other Thoughts: The Northbridge heatsink was in the way of my Arctic Cooling Freezerpro7 (which I had to trim plastic off), to make it fit.

1 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: tons of overclocking options, very highly recommended for budget overclocking

Cons: i guess i got a dud board. it was sending too much vcore to my q6600 that it was going to 70+ degree celsius at boot. i spent 4 days seating and reseating everything but no go. I have returned the board for refund

Other Thoughts: i have always used msi boards. This was my first abit and the price point ad reviews were great but when the first board you get is bad, you lose faith in the brand. I am going to find a msi baord with the same specs.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: It runs ok, once you get it setup. Seems to be a stable board.

Cons: This board will NOT run OCZ Platinum Revision 2 OCZ2P800R22GK memory modules. I put in a Kingston module to boot it up, no problems, set the volts to 2.1, still couldn't boot with the OCZ modules. Do not buy this board and those modules together.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive board, you do the math. It's ok for a cheap build, don't expect much more. I experienced the double boot problem with 1 stick of RAM, it went away with 2.
