Great Motherboard
- Pros: Fantastic motherboard. I've been a huge fan of Gigabyte for a while and this just continues that. Worked right out of the box without even close to a problem. I'm not much for OCing or tweaking but the programs it comes with make it very easy for someone like me to do so if needed. Helluva value!
- Cons: The placement on the cpu fan power pin was probably the only thing that bothered me, I had to stretch the cable over the heatsink to reach the pin. That's probably compatibility issues with the fan/heatsink (Arctic Freezer 7 Pro).
That and the IDE plug is horizontal, not a huge deal but it was annoying plugging in an old HDD AFTER everything else was in.
- Other Thoughts: Other than those two placements, the layout is fantastic and everything fits perfectly without a problem! A definite buy!
very good MB
- Pros: good solid motherboard. Has all the features I need. Worked flawlessly from the beginning. no issues at all.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: recommended.
Very Awesome
- Pros: 8 SATA Ports!!! Solid caps!! Very nice heatsinks on the chipsets. 1066MHz mem support. Came with very awesome SATA cables which lock in place. LOTS of options for just about EVERYTHING in the BIOS!
- Cons: I'm pretty sure that the floppy connector/controller is dead. I needed a floppy for about 5 minutes, so it caused me some (very) minor headaches)... It's the only floppy, no big deal... Not worth RMAing... That's why this still gets a 5... ;-)
- Other Thoughts: It would have been nice if the floppy worked... But like I said, it's not the end of the world... Though something to keep in mind... It's been a while since I bought a new mobo, the feature set on just about all mobos these days is amazing... This board is no exception!
