5 out of 5 eggsSweet Deal

Pros: Versatility ~ Upgradeable!

Cons: Price? Actually, it's an extremely good price for this! If you can't pay for the higher end boards, go for this one!

Other Thoughts: I've bought several of these in the last months to use on my custom builds. Gigabyte is the only boards I'll ever use again!

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a first

Pros: Too many to list

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is a first for me. I don't think I've ever purchased a motherboard without something I seriously didn't like about it. This motherboard is as close to flawless as I've ever purchased. I think I'll be buying Gigabyte motherboards for some time to come. I'd give it 6 eggs if I could.

4 out of 5 eggsDon't flash the bios through windows!

Pros: Well great SOLID board, solid capacitors increase it's performance A HUGE AMOUNT! Price is a plus although it's gone up since I purchased. Virtual Dual Bios means that you set-up bios wrong it reverts without you having to reset CMOS.

Cons: Original BIOS needs upgrading when you get the board. however BE AWARE, do NOT use the @BIOS utility, use either USB Flash drive or floppy drive and reboot the computer starting from q-flash. I used the @BIOS util and my MB is on it's way back to newegg right now.

Other Thoughts: I'm waiting for a review that says "I put all the components in the box and the computer still won't boot, i called newegg and they couldn't help. Sorry you are just too dumb to own a computer just return the 'sealed' boxes" I did that to my boss today, threw everythign back in it's box and put them all in my case for safe storage and said "It won't work, i put all the components in my case but it just wont work!"

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for the price

Pros: Great for the price my old motherboard died and I needed a replacement for a decent price this fit the build as long as you don't need raid. I have my Core 2 Duo E6600 over clocked too 3.24Ghz at 1.375 volts rams running at 900mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings and 2.2 volts.

Cons: None for me I guess no raid is somewhat of a con and the placement of the IDE and SATA ports are kind of iffy.

Other Thoughts: I can't comment on the on board sound because I use a real sound card
My specs:
E6600, Radeon x1800xl(need to upgrade now lol), 2 gigs Geil DDR2-800, 320GB Seagate Barracuda, and a Thermaltake 600w Purepower RX PSU.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Board, Few problems

Pros: This board runs great. I'm running a Core 2 Duo, 2gb of ram, IDE hard drive and burner drive.

Cons: This chipset is ludacris. As far as I can read, with the P31 chipset, you are only able to put two double-sided ram sticks in this board, or four single sided. With two double-sided sticks and two single sided, the singles are not picked up. Also, the IDE cable was not long enough at all.

Other Thoughts: This board would be a great board if not for chipset limitations and IDE cable length. You need to know what you are buying if you purchase this board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!!

Pros: This is a very great board. It has solid connectors, and feels very sturdy. The cpu socket is a zif, which means you don't have to apply pressure to the cpu processor. All you have to do is drop it, and close the latch. VERY well designed. The blue color gives it a great feel, and I have yet to encounter a problem..

Cons: The edie cable that came with it was a bit short. I had to pull it all the way to get it to reach my cdrom drive in my midsized case. Its ok though, I have many longer cables in the garage. ;]

Other Thoughts: To J-Aims, make sure the connectors to the usb and audio are faced the right way, and you push the connector all the way in. I also realized I had a problem with my front audio, so I opened my case, removed it, and pushed back in all the way. Also, for audio install the drivers. Go to the realtek audio manager, click on audio tab, and click on the tool wrench thing. Then, make sure 'disable front jack detection' is checked. that will enable the front jacks to work while the back speakers are plugged in. Hope your mobo worked like mine did!!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: Never had a single problem, works great with XPro, CORE 2 DUO, 4GB RAM, SATA HD, and nVidia graphics.

Cons: Can't get F_USB or F_AUDIO to work. Contacted case and motherboard manufacturers, and both provided "solutions". None worked, so I have 2 useless usb ports, and 2 useless line in/out ports. Could be board problem.

Other Thoughts: This was my first build, and it worked perfectly (thankfully), and is still performing magnificently!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value!

Pros: Recognized all hardware immediately, even a HD with a PATA/SATA plug-in converter. Zero problems installing XP. Bios resets itself automatically if it needs to. CPU runs cooler by 3-4 degrees than my old 915P at idle.

Cons: NONE. Gigabyte has a new fan!

Other Thoughts: Used my old P4 630 (3gHz). Now OCed to 4004 @ 14X, STABLE on OCCT test (max 54 degrees on air). FSB: 286. Crucial 800 running @ 715: 4 3 3 12. Super Pi: 32.7--12 seconds faster than old board with same CPU. UNDER $80!!
