5 out of 5 eggsGreat starter MB

Pros: Easy setup. Great for simple comps. I have two of these an both work flawlessly. Latest System: LE-1250 CPU, G-Skill 2GB RAM, Seagate 250GB HD, Radeon X1550 Vid Card, Lite-On DVD Burner

Cons: If using a separate Vid card, it can be a tight squeeze between card & RAM

Other Thoughts: Will definitely buy again!

4 out of 5 eggsSmooth

Pros: Easy to install with simple instructions.

Cons: Not much of any cons here because you get hat you pay for.

Other Thoughts: This was a perfect fit for the type of build that it was intended for.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT for the price, but not as upgradeable as GA-M61PME-S2P

Pros: Simply a great motherboard. Does everything I need it to do, has enough of every kind of port, plug & jack. Inexpensive.

Cons: This is important to know before you buy. Nothing is wrong with this board, BUT:
For a dollar more, you can get the GA-M61PME-S2P.
The only difference I notice, and the only reason I gave it four eggs, is that the CPU socket on that board is compatible both with AM2, which is for dual-core AMD processors, AND AM2+, which is for quad-core processors.
Now, honestly, the rig I've got, I'm probably never going to upgrade the CPU, especially since I've got a low-power 45W 2.6Ghz Brisbane, and the power ceiling for my 300W PSU is only so high.
But it makes a lot of sense to get the other board, and I wish I'd seen it earlier. No reason to go back and get it now, because this board works absolutely fine.

Other Thoughts: Onboard sound and video are good. You can play Audiosurf, but nothing REALLY graphics-intensive. Definitely a step up from trying to play games on a docked laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Great board for the price. Fresh install XP (SP1) went on without a hitch and did not need to add any other drivers separately for the new SATA drive which it found - no problem. Then installed XP SP2 and then the board's drivers.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Not using the on board video - using the nice inexpensive little Sparkle 512 MB 9400 GT which is silent. A very inexpensive system. Also have 4GB GSkill 800 (XP finds 3.05 GB of it) and AM2 5400 running at 2.82 GHZ.
Thanks Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Replacement Mobo

Pros: A perfect ACER desktop replacement board that uses AM2 CPUs... plus performs better than working ACER boards.

Cons: none... nada... nein... nutuh... zilch

Other Thoughts: Don't expect the moon with this board. It is a good board for basic -to- medium usage of computing needs and does well to replace ACER desktop faulty motherboards or to upgrade to a better board.

1 out of 5 eggsIst RMA

Pros: I bought it for the features, which were what I wanted.

Cons: Some holes were off and I could not screw it down 100% without drilling into my case. Which I should not have to do with a retail boxed item.

Other Thoughts: RMA went fine.
