5 out of 5 eggsIt Works Hard for the Money

Pros: Inexpensive, good number of connections, works well

Cons: Limited ram capacity, limited monitor capability, perhaps not really capable of 1333/1066MHz

Other Thoughts: I've been running it continuously for about eight months, and it's worked flawlessly. It wasn't hard at all to set up. However, my 1066MHz memory didn't work at all, but all my 800MHz memory did. Could have been bad memory, but I haven't checked that yet, so I'm not blaming the motherboard.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Memory

Pros: Cheap... when it works, it works fine.

Cons: Over the past month ive purchased maybe a dozen of these sticks. So far, i think i've returned about 75% of the sticks. With the time/money involved in return shipments, ive vowed to never buy G.Skill memory again. Its not worth the headaches IF the memory does happen to work.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: thanks to NewEgg cust service

5 out of 5 eggsGood Price/Feature Ratio

Pros: Cheapest ATX Intel board on the Egg. 3 PCI-E x1 and 3 PCI slots which are well spaced, only lose 1 PCI-E slot with a double slot VGA card.

Robust overclocking options including voltage controls for CPU, DDR2, FSB, PCI-E and northbridge.

CPU multiplier control, memory multiplier adjustment, memory timings and speed controls and PCI-Express frequency are all options available to tweak.

Sturdy, well made board, little to no flex when installing stock Intel HSF unlike other boards that you are afraid will snap in half.

Shipped with F6 Bios, there is a newer beta F7a available, but I'll leave it to others to beta test, I'm getting too old for that.

Overall it does everything I need it to do and is well within my budget.

Cons: Being narrower than many ATX boards, a monster heatsink with ram with tall heatspreaders may be a problem, in my case it is not an issue.

x16 slot is not 2.0 spec, but I knew that and isn't even a problem with any but the most expensive of cards, if any at all.

Other Thoughts: E5200 @ 10*360 on 1.325v on stock Q6600 HSF.
MSI 9800 GT
4GB Patriot Viper 4-4-4-12 @2.1v
Ancient Enermax EG651 PS from like 2003

2 out of 5 eggsSlower than Death

Pros: Good MB for price

Cons: Straight out the box id say its about 20 seconds before i see the windows splash screen. I think it takes well over 6-7 seconds to POST beep adn then show teh Gigabyte splash screen.

3 out of 5 eggs420

Pros: Great for any budget build so long as you get a reliable board many features an OC friendly

Cons: 1st board fried up and long boots 2nd board same long boot times can't overclock at all

Other Thoughts: It's a solid board if you get a non defect board p31 are sketchy so beware you might end up with an RMA

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cheap atx board

Pros: Cheap
Stable
Overclocking ability for memory, cpu and graphics

Cons: cannot control system fan, only cpu fan. so unless u have an external controller, the system fan will run at max speed.

Other Thoughts: would be nice to have four memory slots, but its ok for the price.

5 out of 5 eggs<3 Gigabyte

Pros: A really painless motherboard with a, for the most part, simple BIOS. Gigabyte makes great motherboards for both the budget comsumer and the gamer/hardcore alike and this one is no exception.

Working great with an older Pentium D 820, 2x2GB of GSkill PC8500, and an nVidia 6800 Ultra.

Cons: It's an odd shape but it fits perfectly into this case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811166035

when a true full ATX motherboard might not fit so comfortably. I should know because that's the case I used for this particular build. :)

Other Thoughts: I killed a Dell and built another computer out of some of it's parts. Am I going to hell?
