4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Worked as expected.

Cons: my only complaint is that the power switch, reset switch, etc. Wires are so difficult to plug in.

Other Thoughts: I guess they will be for most Motherboards though.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap AM3 board

Pros: Will fill your needs if you're tight on money, but will definitely run a 125w AM3 CPU, like my 955 BE.

Cons: using the 1.1 revision, and the manual and actual ram slot colors don't match, and didn't realize I wasn't using correct dual channel until a few months later.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother overclocking on this thing, it's possible but not really recommended due to the 4+1 phase. If you wanna overclock, you're gonna have to fork over more cash for more and better phases.

2 out of 5 eggsMotherboard

Pros: Runs pretty good. No problems in OS.

Cons: The USB boot sucks. I get boot errors all the time with Linux USB boot disks. The company has poor BIOS updates for these problems. I can boot them fine in other computers.

Other Thoughts: I will not buy another Gigabyte after having problems with this one for so long. I just beat it to pieces.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mother Board

Pros: This board is reliable and has everything you would want for AM3 Micro ATX.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I've had this for nearly two years. It gets worked hard, and it keeps fighting.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it worked

Pros: Fantastic when it worked. Was fast.

Cons: Did not work very well with a PCI-E graphics card. Booting issues and then finally took a dump after only 7 months of use.

Other Thoughts: I also own another gigabyte motherboard but for Intel, that has worked flawlessly for almost 2yrs now (perfectly). Why did they go cheap with the AMD board? :(

5 out of 5 eggsgreat mid range MB

Pros: *overclocks easily with tweaker
*nice layout and easy to install
*very nice looking board
*onboard video works well as far as i can see
*raid 0 support works very very well
*for a small board it has a lot of features
*even though it has some features that will last for awhile(am3, sataII, pci express ect...) it also features a lot of older technology that wont be available on the newer boards(pata, floppy drive support ect...).

Cons: *no crossfirex but i knew this when i bought it so not really a con.
*if my video card was any longer it would cover the sata II ports

Other Thoughts: amd athlon II x 3 rana 2.9 ghz cpu
thermaltake frio cpu coller
4 gigs of crucial ballistix RAM
xfx ati radeon hd 5770 gpu
4 500gb seagate 7200.11 hd's in raid 0
raidmax 630 watt power supply

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Great manual. I like the board layout. Lots of features. Seemed like a reasonable value and good choice.

Cons: Had too many I/O issues. After 7 months the keyboard/mouse inputs failed completely. No USB access from external ports, motherboard auxiliary ports or from ports on PCI-bus USB adapter. Motherboard PS/2 connector also dead. Up until that time there were sporadic disk corruption issues. The frequency and extent of disk corruption varied with different operating systems. Over the last 7 months this board was used with WinXPsp3, Solaris 10 x86, and FreeBSD 8. Same cpu/mem/disk/peripherals have worked ok since installing a different brand motherboard-the disk issues went away completely.

Other Thoughts: I requested an RMA from Gigabyte, but they never got around to issuing anything besides an acknowledgment of the request. It looks like the RMA process is going to be a minimum of 6 weeks plus however long it takes for them to approve the request if they ever do. That amount of time just doesn't work very well for me. There are lots of other choices for motherboards out there.

5 out of 5 eggsWas what I needed

Pros: Needed to do a whole comp rebuild after last one died. Bought this mobo for the onboard video and ddr3 capabilities (building to make it last). So far, no problems what so ever. Looks good, runs well, and even the onboard video runs WoW 25 man raids at 30 fps with mid-range settings. ATI Crossfire will help you tie in this card with another card if you want...can't wait to try that.

Cons: None Yet

Other Thoughts: My Comp:
RaidMax ATX Mid Tower - from newegg.com
Gigabyte AM3 AMD 785G HDMI - from newegg.com
AMD Athlon X2 240 Regor 2.8Ghz - from newegg.com
ATA Gaming Series 4GB DDR3 Memory - from newegg.com
WD Caviar Green 1TB HDD - from newegg.com
Windows 7 Home Premium - from newegg.com

All that for under 500 with shipping. Not to shabby.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate sound drivers!

Pros: MOBO is good, I'm happy so far.

Cons: The sound only worked intermittently, until I upgraded the sound drivers from the Gigabyte website, all good since then.
