4 out of 5 eggsPCIe X 1 covered by video card

Pros: Has been great with a 3 core cheapo Athlon and a 560Ti video card for playing L4D2. Couldn't ask for better frame rate and picture on 25" monitor at 1080P for that game.

Cons: I went to put in a wireless reciever for testing a router, I can't use the one PCIe X 1 slot open, it is covered by the video card as it uses two slots. bummer. I will have to go with an USB2.0 adapter. Only other slots open are for regular PCI.

Other Thoughts: Other than that, it has been very good. Though, the processor is not quite enough to power Battlefield 3 with 30 frames, it drops into teens, but that is cause of the processor.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk after 2 years

Pros: It was a good board when it worked

Cons: Died after two years of normal use. Not impressed. First the USB controller went then a couple weeks later it refused to POST. Two years of just internet browsing and schoolwork, no overclocking or anything funky. What a disappointment.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat budget board

Pros: inexpensive & good quality, dual bios is nice feature

Cons: not too many VRM for OC, expected at that price point

Other Thoughts: Mine was a revision 1 board (the newer ones are r2.3), and had the F1 version BIOS.

I had an issue with an HD5670 GPU that was resolved by flashing to the later F5 version BIOS <shrug>

just wanted to put it out there, in case anyone else had this problem.

Cheers!

2 out of 5 eggsOkay for the money

Pros: Works good @ stock settings

Cons: HORRIBLE overclocking everytime you overclock even the smallest amount the board tells you that its "going into safe mode" thus taking all of your settings and disregarding them

1 out of 5 eggsdead SATA after 15 months

Pros: Worked fine for 15 months.

Cons: After 15 months, dead SATA, can't read harddrive anymore. Swap with second drive, no help. Will find out soon if I get any warranty replacement.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Installed Athlon x2 5000+ and had a lot of problems with choppy sound. I disabled Cool 'n' Quite in the BIOS, and everything seemed fine, until some hardware monitoring tool is started.
To summirize, I have my CPU running at 2.6 GHz ALL the time and I can't run CPUz, SpeedFan. The sound gets choppy. Don't know if it's the board or the CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks wonders

Pros: Great Board, for a low price.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Bought it for my mothers computer that was using my old Asus M3A board which was having usb issues where once in a while the computer would freeze up or shut down when a flash drive was inserted. This is the second Gigabyte mobo i've bought and im very pleased with there boards.
