Pros: was hoping to be leaving a review, but ups says they left the package under the door mat. yeah right, a 6.5lb package that included the motherboard, memory and a artic freezer pro. filed a claim with newegg and they will reship in about 7-10 days. thanks newegg, ups was no help
Cons: ordered so i could redo my computer while on vacation, but now i will have to wait over 2 weeks. i just hope my board holds out. its been slowly dying for about a month. hit and miss to boot up. and yes ive checked the power supply. narrowed it down to the pcie slot.
Other Thoughts: will post a review when i finally get my parts

Pros: Great features for a reasonable price. Nice layout. Good looking board.
Cons: Failed within 2 weeks. Was out of town so could not get back to Newegg within the 30 day period. Try to find support from Gigabyte. Try it before you take issue with my comment shere. It takes a lot of work and when I owned a large computer store I tended to stay away from this brand for this very reason - they don't have reasonable North American customer support. True to form, they still are very bad at it and I wish I had not been tempted by the price/features of this setup. I will definitely not buy this brand again. Just not worth the headaches if you have a problem. For all of you who have had good experience with this board, I am happy for you. If you are not technically inclined though and do have a problem you will not appreciate this company.
Other Thoughts: It's too bad I had this experience really because for the majority of owners who have no problems I am sure they will feel they got a very good deal on a feature-rich product - and they did. Hopefully one day Gigabyte will see some value in putting together a customer friendly support system.

Rating: 1/5Very unstable
Pros: When the board works, it works well. It has a good feature set, overall no complaints.
Cons: However, this board blue screens/randomly reboots all the time. I've tried a bunch of different bios, reinstalled Win7 x64 6 times, 3 different hard drives, different sets of memory, different graphics cards, etc... I've narrowed it down to the southbridge which houses the memory controller, if you use AMDs memory controller it seems to corrupt some data; however, using the onboard JMICRON controller seems to relieve some of the blue screens. This is less then ideal since the JMicron controller is slower than the AMD one.
Other Thoughts: I'd just skip this board altogether, maybe get a 890FX board.

Rating: 1/5NO support for Linux !!!
Pros: see below...
Cons: It runs Linux from CD only if you connect it to one of the 2 white JRAID connectors, but Linux cannot boot from hard disk on this mobo!!!! In fact a Linux installation will trash your Windows bootloader rendering your computer unbootable! There's a problem with SB850 southbridge or the BIOS on this board.
The power LED does NOT blink in S3 suspend mode, so you have no way of knowing if the machine in on or off. This one is a deal-breaker.

Pros: Mine is rev2.0 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Solid Durable not cheap feeling board. Overclocks very nicely PII 945 @3.6 NB @2.4 HT @2.16 right out of the box before even installing windows or updating BIOS stable as I knew the settings from previous board. After bios updated to FD and into windows and P95 STABLE for 6 hour run idle 32c PRIME95 load 55c Ambient temps high now about 26-27c
Shooting for 3.8GHz just takes a little tweaking...
Also this board now supports eSATA via one of the 8 SATA on board ports, option in bios at launch option for eSATA did not exist (at least for the rev 2.0)
Cons: I'm used to higher end boards, have to resort to this board as a temporary set back but not a bad thing. No clear CMOS button only jumper which is in a bad location if you have a dual slot GPU. No power/reset buttons on board (I use all my builds on a tech station prior to installing in a case. No on board speaker, LED's or diagnostic codes. Not nearly enough fan headers. If you use on board GPU (4290) NB run HOT
Other Thoughts: PII 945 @3.6GHz 2.4GHz NB 2.16 HT 2x2GB OCZ AMD Black Edition DDR3 1600MHz RAM H50 P/P 2x WD 1TB Black 64MB Cache 6Gb/s Raid 0 (FAST:) GTX470 800/1600/4000 987mV Corsair TX750w PSU
Sorry Newegg, bought the board locally for a bit cheaper..

Rating: 5/5great
Pros: This is a great board. I purchased this to go along with a new Phenom II X6 1055T and some G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH. Everything booted fine the first time with no problem and all the on-board features work.
The layout of the board is very nice and intuitively designed except for the floppy connector (see cons).
It has all the features I wanted at the right price and is a high quality piece of hardware. The audio and video capabilities is a bonus. I don't use or need them but you never know when you might need a backup and they're good to have.
Cons: The floppy connection is located under the lowest PCI slot, making it impossible to connect my drive without a longer cable. Not a deal breaker.
Other Thoughts: I got the 2.0 revision.
I've only used Asus boards prior to getting this. I Was impressed with the reviews of Gigabyte boards, and during a build for a customer. Also had a good experience with a Gigabyte video card a number of years ago so I decided to switch to their brand. I'm not disappointed and don't see why I wouldn't buy Gigabyte in the future.

Rating: 5/5Does what it needs to.
Pros: Solid PCB Crossfire ready. Usb 3.0 Hexa-core ready. Bios are good.
What more could you ask for?
Cons: I had a little trouble trying to set up the hybrid crossfire. Was trying to set up a 3 moniter dislplay. Ended up going into the bios and just changing a couple settings hoping it would work and I managed to get it.
Other Thoughts: If you have a dedicated card with a monitor attached and another one going into the vga of the mobo then set the mobo to load first.

Rating: 2/5Okay, but one BIG flaw...
Pros: The board has all the features you could want for a mid-range build. However, it does have one glaring problem. See cons.
Cons: Even with the latest bios update (F7) the onboard NIC intermitently resets my router, as well as my cable modem. It doesnt matter which is plugged in directly to the board. If you plan on purchaseing this board be aware that this could happen to you as well. I have tried the latest drivers for the Realtek LAN onboard chipset aswell.
Other Thoughts: I have been a gigabyte customer for years, and to have something so silly as a wonky NIC is rediculous!
