1 out of 5 eggshorrible service

Pros: worked fine for almost 3 years.

Cons: worked fine for almost 3 years. Then gave a fast beep indicating a power issue. I swapped all components from a known working computer even the 200.00 powersupply to this motherboard and it still gave a fast beep would not even post. sent to gigabyte for warranty they said tested and no issues found and are sending it back unfixed.

Other Thoughts: This the 3rd bad experience with gigabyte will never buy another product from them again.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome MB!

Pros: - 5 PCI Slots
- 6 SATA Slots
- 4 Memory Slots (Supporting up to 16GBs of DDR2 800)

This is a great gaming motherboard even though many other people are using the major over kill systems these days this motherboard does everything I need it to. I am running an Intel Q9300 Core 2 Quad CPU on mine right now which is what I am using to write my reviews. I have not had any problems with this MB even after having it for a little over 2 years now.

Cons: None, its awesome!

Other Thoughts: Shame they don't sell these anymore or I would buy a 2nd one to use with my backup CPU. f your looking for a great older socket & want a good board to play even today's games you should find one of these some place & buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: 5 PCI SLOTS!!!!!
Stable

Cons: would have been nice to have the system fans controllable instead of full speed all the time.

Other Thoughts: Works great in my DAW, 5 pci slots give me room to expand on audio interfaces.

5 out of 5 eggsworked like a charm

Pros: *Good Bargain

Cons: *Doesn't feature some higher end features, but its a mid range priced board so you can't expect that

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a well used (3 years?!?) MSI p6n that I originally bought with my Q6600. Worked with no problem and has some more features in BIOS compared to my old board.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None.

Cons: This is my 2nd Gigabyte Motherboard, had to replace my original because it no longer POSTed. Ordered this one as a replacement, DOA. Same problem, it really makes me doubt the reliability of Gigabyte Motherboard. Believe all the other reviews for this board, causes way too many problems.

3 out of 5 eggsGAP43-ES3G

Pros: Great board when you get it to work and fine tune.

Cons: after getting all the win7 update, I don't hear the beep POST anymore. Everything is fine and running, but where is the beep. Who cares about the beep, some do. Specially if you want to get your monies worth on what you paid for it. For this 3 eggs I think is being easy on my part.

Other Thoughts: This is my second board RMA and I lost the beep POST again. Would you RMA it. The advice of the Gigabyte tech is to RMA it. After all the time and effort consume, start all over again! See if yours have the beep???

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great! Current drivers! Setup not bad

Pros: Everything works great! The BIOS has many features and supports many CPU and memory. I was looking for full-sized ATX for my poor-man's server case wtih LGA-775, PCIe16x for my RAID controller, and some legacy PCI slots, so this MB is perfect. It also runs very cool compared to my last system. The EasyTune6 software provides everything I need to monitor fans, temps, and power. Drivers were a breeze to download but I didn't need to. The BIOS and all drivers on the included CD were all current. The F14 BIOS was loaded on the MB when I received it and that was the most current one. Having the current drivers ship with the product was a real treat! Works just fine with W2K3.

Cons: Some more detailed instructions would be nice -especially regarding the SATA settings and boot order.

Other Thoughts: It would not boot to the CD/DVD after setting the SATA mode to "Native" for ports 0-3 and with the CD/DVD connected to port 1. After I moved the CD/DVD to SATA port 4, it worked like a champ. I 'm pretty sure my SATA HDD is really operating at 3 Gb/s now. I don't think it was on the last MB I had. This system is definitely faster than the last one. Most boards with this chipset and with graphics are not compatible with W2K3 because of the graphics accelerators. I understand you can disable the 3D accelerator and they should be stable. This MB does not have video so it is not an issue. I used the PCIe16x for an Adaptec 2405 RAID controller (which works great) so I had to dig up an old PCI video card. No problem. It all works great. I am very happy!

4 out of 5 eggsNice board, nice price

Pros: 4 memory slots, takes just about any 775 processor, 6 SATA ports, large form factor, inexpensive for what you're getting

Cons: Large form factor, just adequate sound

Other Thoughts: I had all the parts I needed to make a good system, but my 2nd ASUS went kablooey. I got this as a replacement. The only thing the ASUS had I wish this had was 2 IDE connectors, for 4 devices. I have a LOT of IDE drives and DVDs, and wasn't able to accomodate the configuration I would have liked. It's also HUGE, which I wanted because my HUGE video card blocks 2 PCI slots. Now I can use my X-Fi no problem! I have a pent D rated 3.4G running at the top speed of 4GHz, NO PROBLEM, and my 800MHz memory clocked to 900. No worries!

1 out of 5 eggsBIOS stopped working

Pros: Was a good board and worked for a few years.

Cons: Fairly certain their Dual Bios just didn't cut it, because it would freeze at the start of the boot up, and wouldn't allow me to get into BIOS to change settings.

Other Thoughts: Buy it if you don't plan on using the computer for long, but other than that, save the money for a more quality board.
