5 out of 5 eggsNever too late

Pros: Price and Speed. I built the PC months before I needed it knowing I would need to go through the torture of reloading all my products. Only issues were rewiring front panel, np, cabinet dependent. So I tested with XP but waited for Windows 7 price to come down and finally have it in use for 3 months. No problems. Runs great. Now I'm going to upgrade from 4G DDR2 to 8G DDR3 for about $50 where DDR2 would cost me $150. Same MoBo. Great Idea. This PC is used for all my photos, videos and home-made movies. Work horse indeed.

Cons: Only 2 PCI slots and 1 PCIE-1 and 1 PCIE-16. But I'm fine with that. Plenty of expansion for me. Video card and Multi-media are all I needed.

Other Thoughts: The hardware install was seemless. Win7 upgrade had no issues.

2 out of 5 eggsOnboard graphics failed

Pros: DDR2 or DDR3 memory
USB 3X power to change devices
3 year warranty (soon to see if that is really a pro)

Cons: Onboard video failed after a year+. Monitor would suddenly lose signal and required a restart to connect. Board also defaulted to an under-clocked (6x) 2.00 Ghz rather than full 2.33 Ghz

Other Thoughts: It was a good board while it worked. Board was a replacement for a defective Asus MB. Will try to RMA the board, but probably will roll dice and try another brand,

2 out of 5 eggsDecent mobo, terrible service.

Pros: Motherboard was great while it worked. Easy to set up, no fits at all.

Cons: Motherboard died after less than a year with very light use (it was in my mothers computer). Computer would turn off about 3-4 minutes after it booted up, and would sub-sequentially turn off sooner and sooner. Ended up buying a new processor because the temp alarm in bios was going off but it wasn't the processor. Got new ram, power supply, tried reinstalling windows but it turns off during installation, unplugged HD and DVD Drive and also took completely out of the case and the problem still persists. Also tried another keyboard and no mouse. Only thing left is the motherboard! +12V reads only 2v in windows yet reads 12.1V with a multimeter. I'm assuming the VRM is going bad on the motherboard, and that was with using a non-overclocked E6500.

Other Thoughts: Sent in for an RMA, received about 1 and 1/2 weeks later, hooked everything up and still had the same problem. Checked the S/N on the motherboard and Gigabyte sent back the exact same motherboard.

Will never buy a Gigabyte product again! Motherboard is decent, although it's downfall is a terrible company...

5 out of 5 eggsDecent board

Pros: Honestly, I haven't had any problems with this board. I bought it for my old 775 c2d set up, and it worked flawlessly. Not the best, obviously, but it was excellent for what i needed then.
It worked so well, in fact, that I bought Gigabyte when looking for a motherboard to go with my current i5-2500K, and that works good as well.

Cons: none, really.

Other Thoughts: 6 months later it is still working in the computer i built my dad.

Pros: Very well built board had no problems with anything on my install great for my media PC.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wish it had a HDMI output on the back but my video card has one just had to hook up the sound to the video card. Great media PC board

1 out of 5 eggsGigabyte G41M-Combo

Pros: On board printer, FDD ports, multiple memory support, 4 SATA ports. Like the extra cards slots compare to other boards.

Cons: It died in less than four months... just stopped working with no indications.

Other Thoughts: I got a bio star board in two days, switch out boards and i am up and running. Hope Gigabyte will improve on their boards.
