1 out of 5 eggsFlawed design

Pros: This board was a great performer and had an excellent layout. The solid state components were a real treat and it worked well with my Sandy Bridge i5 for a while. It has onboard USB3 pins, and a power button that makes troubleshooting a breeze.

Cons: It has not started showing the restarting issue that Gigabyte does not seem to be able to fix. In numerous posts, this and other Gigabyte boards are showing design issues that will render all of their boards inoperable at some point.

I have always used Gigabyte, but I'm worried to do that now.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte boards have always given a great price/performance value to my in my builds and in systems that friends build. It's a bummer to have this board fail under average use like this.

1 out of 5 eggsBIOS Issues Remain

Pros: I have built a number of Gigabyte based systems and generally like the feature set and product quality. Things seem to have taken a turn for the worse in 2011 however.

Cons: This six week old board has the BIOS problems, and repetitive autostart issue when trying to shut the system down or sleep. Unfortunately too late to return to NewEgg for a refund. The lastest the F5 bios doesn't correct the problem. And this is like the 4th bios update in 60 days.

Other Thoughts: Have communicated with Gigabyte but getting a fix from them doesn't look very promisiong. I can't envision buying any gear from a company that doesn't stand by their products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: air flow is amazing. I put it with a silver arrow cpu cooler and if there is any other noise in the room, you can hardly tell it is on.

Cons: This was a con for me but may not be for others. The instructions that came with the case were not the most detailed so it took me a little longer to figure things out since thiswas my first build. Not enough to take away an egg though.

3 out of 5 eggsPretty nice

Pros: Looks great

Cons: Not sure if anyone else is having a problem but I have two gtx560s and I'm concerned is how the metal thing between the pci-e and the sata ports is slightly not allowing me to seat my video card.

Other Thoughts: Bought it to replace one of intel's faulty boards that was announced some months ago. If only the middle metal part wasn't there to block the fans of the videocard I would of kept it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Supposed to run PCIe at 16X/8X/4X --- which (at the time of this post) is extremely difficult to find in a P67 motherboard; since I'm running 2-way Crossfire. The step p from this is the UD7 which is the only board at this time that runs 16X/16X/16X... while every other manufacturer shares the 16 lanes with all the other PCIe slots. Booo!

OC's my Sandy Bridge 2600K easily and (so far) stable at 4.7Ghz.

Cons: Does not have 16X across all lanes like with the older X58 boards. Lame... we should be moving forward with MORE bandwidth, faster systems NOT backwards! Booo Intel!! booo!

Other Thoughts: Haven't had time to experimented a lot yet, but when I was running my CPU at 4.7Ghz stable for weeks and then dropped in a second AMD 6950 card, the system would not boot had to revert the bios back to stock. However, I am running my CPU at 4.0Ghz now without issue. Haven't had time to push the limit backup running Crossfire. I am running at 750W Corsair PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsBuild quality is phenomenal

Pros: Super high quality
Black chrome accents
Black PCB
Tastefully Stylish (as opposed to the ugly bright blue Asus boards)
Extra ESD resistance
Works great and has alot of cool features.

Cons: Old style bios... Not really a big deal. Easy to navigate.

Also some of the Gigabyte software that it comes with isn't the "best".

5 out of 5 eggsCheck Ram Slots- Update...

Pros: Update to my earlier review:
As a testament to my confidence in Gigabyte, even though I suspected that the motherboard I had received was defective, I purchased another Gigabyte board to replace it. After I received the replacement board, a GA-P67A-UD7-B3 (this ones bigger badder brother), I tested the UD7 with 2 different sets of RAM, and that set-up also gave me some RAM issues...So now, logic and deductive reasoning brings me at last to the conclusion that the fault probably lies with the internal memory controller of the CPU itself, and not the motherboard....not 100% sure at this point

Cons: Desire without knowledge is not good,
and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.
Proverbs 19:2

Other Thoughts: The UD-5 is a great board, and the UD-7 is even better.
As for me, I'm keeping my UD-7, I'm sure I can sort out the RAM/CPU issue

1 out of 5 eggsNot buying Gigabyte ever again

Pros: Layout of the board is excellent.

Cons: Not being able to set the voltage of ram to 1.65 is ridiculous. Very disappointed my first mobo died after a week. Sent it back to Newegg and they send me one with bent pins and wouldn't let me do another rma for the second mobo.
