Pros: None

Cons: Will only boot from a usb flash drive if formatted with the HP usb tool which is windows only. I had to install a optical drive to get OS to install. You can't get into bios with a usb keyboard

Other Thoughts: First and Last Gigabyte product I will ever own. I was so close to sending this back and get an Asus.

Pros: NOTHING. WORST PRODUCT I EVER BOUGHT (and trust me i have bought A LOT)

Cons: DON'T BUY ! DON'T BUY ! DON'T BUY ! STAY AWAY FROM GIGABYTE !!!

During the past 15+ years i have bought over 40 motherboard for, my friends and my family. I have NEVER had so much problem with a motherboard. GIGABYTE SUPPORT IS TOTALLY USELESS. They never answer my support inquiries. I contacted gigabyte for support 5 TIMES AND THEY NEVER ANSWERED ME.

This motherboard is the worst thing i ever bought. First it fried and i had to RMA it. Took almost 3 months until i got a replacement motherboard. And then i started to have all kind of problems with the board. USB periphericals are never detected when the computer start. I have to unplug and replug them to get it detected by windows. This is not a windows problem since i have re-installed it numerous times. Also, wake-on-usb and wake-on-lan doesn't works.

I repeat : GIGABYTE SUPPORT IS USELESS. I have a lot of experience with computers and this is the worst "support" i ever got from a company. THEY DON'T EVEN ANSWER E-MAILS

Other Thoughts: STAY AWAY FROM GIGABYTE ! I will NEVER EVER buy a Gigabyte product again. Stay away from them. Buy from ASUS or MSI, they make reliable products ans at least they answer e-mails when you contact them for support.

I'm throwing this motherboard in garbage and buying from another company. I hate Gigacrap now.

2 out of 5 eggsFlawless for 4 months

Pros: A well recommended mobo for a new HTPC build. Installation was uncomplicated and operation was as hoped for until without warning the board gave up the ghost. Sadly I have failed to keep all the original packaging so this purchase was an unwise choice costing $80 for a few months use. My first mobo failure and I don't know if others have experienced similar problems. A warning to others is pointless now as product is now longer offered.

Cons: Only lasted a few months...

Other Thoughts: i bought an ASUS this time.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is nice!

Pros: This technology rocks! I have never seen windows load installation files so fast. I never seen updates install so fast and this all on a mech hard drive. The memory controller on the A3850 must really match up well with everything on this board. I haven't delved into the spec's on the A75 hudsons or the A3850 apu, but this is one sweet lil rig.

Cons: Rubarb

Other Thoughts: If this lil build is this amazing as is, I really can't wait for the next generation......pile driver! I will never build another business machine with a vid card again. Gots to get my hdmi cable from my son so I can crossfire my 6670.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for my application

Pros: Paired this with an A6 APU from AMD, Mushkin SSD and memory and an Antec PSU and it all works great. Wish I could get HDMI to work as default video source, but oh well I have DVI-HDMI cable I use and that works perfect.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: HDMI out as default would be nice so I could use the audio instead of needing to plug in the 3.5mm speaker jack, but whatever it still works for my use so I don't consider it a con, just not as great as I would like.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat choice for PC repair

Pros: Supports wide range of memory speeds with a limit of 64 GB. Supports USB 3.0 and IEEE 1394a. Supports 6.0 GB/s SATA connections. Supports HDMI monitors. Supports Dolby sound.

Cons: Not sure how widely used the FM1 socket is. This could be limited if a processor upgrade is ever desired down the road.

Other Thoughts: Rebuilt an 2 yeard old HP system whose CPU failed. This board had nice support for old tech (I could keep my old memory and connect my Sony DV camcorder) and new tech (I gained USB 3.0 and 6 GB/s SATA support). I haven't tested the board's advanced features (e.g. the redundant bios, performance tuning, etc.). I'm also not using a dedicated graphics card

5 out of 5 eggsDon't use the drivers on the CD

Pros: This board does it all. The graphics are awesome. I have it paired with a Radeon HD6670 and am running 3 monitors and it does it all. Install was easy and its got a lot of features for a micro ATX motherboard

Cons: Upon install I used the motherboard drivers on the CD and it caused bluescreen of death upon restart and locked up so badly that I had to reformat. Couldn't even system restore. Did this a few times before I downloaded the new ones from the website and it worked flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: All in all great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine for me

Pros: Seems like a nice board. Looks nice, has good capacitors, good features, every video out option out there, etc. Worked with an AMD A6-3500 out of the box. Loaded Win 7 x64 on there with no issues with drivers or anything else.

Cons: It worked for me, so there are no cons. The board recognized my A-Data 1600 RAM as 1300. This is the case with most boards and most RAM. Once I set the clock and voltage manually on the board, it works at 1600 with no issues. Not really a con, because I am used to manually setting RAM clocks.

Other Thoughts: There aren't a ton of FM1 boards to choose from yet, and it's new tech, so we need to be a little patient for boards to ship with newer BIOS, etc.
