1 out of 5 eggsFirst MOBO from Gigabyte I disliked

Pros: Cost
Functions

Cons: Fails to read HDD 2 out of 3 boots, and forces you to run repair setup. I purchased this with my first SDD thinking that was the issue until I swapped the SDD into my laptop and worked without issue. This Motherboard will either fail to read HDD, start windows, crash while using windows or randomly blue screen. Previously ruled out all other components (Processor, RAM, GPU, HDD, CD/PCI)

2 out of 5 eggsOne DOA, One Wonderful

Pros: This works wonderfully for a first time builder. The BIOS is easy to use and read, and the cables are easy to set up in a small case. It was a tight fit, but most issues had to do with my inexperience more than the board itself.

Cons: After about a month, the first board started giving intermittent and hard to diagnose boot errors. Even worse, NEWEGG offered a mail in rebate with the product. Therefore, they wouldn't let me return the product.

I eventually bought a separate board which works wonderfully, but I have the old, broken board with nothing to do with it. (GIGABYTE only offers replacements or repairs and NEWEGG won't take it at all). I was frustrated by the customer service of GIGABYTE and NEWEGG in this entire process, but I know I should take some of the blame since I was new and ignorant with many of the policies before I started.

Other Thoughts: Great board if it works, but it is absolutely high risk (looking at my review and others on here).

It is advertised for audiophiles, but I have not noticed anything extra-ordinary sound wise with the product, but that also comes with no complains.

2 out of 5 eggsBoard DOA for a time-sensitive build.

Pros: Decent price, supposedly a good clean audio output.

Cons: Board DOA so I cannot review further. Will update review to share my experience with refund or replacement.

For no POST/display issue, please check the following:

1. Be sure the CPU is supported by this motherboard, for CPU support list please go to the GIGABYTE website.

2. Check memory requirement and memory installation, be sure the memory is/are seated properly. You may test the board with a single stick to rule a single bad stick of memory.

3. Be sure the ATX 24-Pin and ATX 12V 4 or 8-Pin are plugged in firmly into the board.

4. Check for visible bent or broken pin(s) in the CPU socket (Intel CPU).

5. If you have an add-on video card installed, please check if the card requires additional powers 4, 6, or 8 Pin PCIE power.

6. Test the board on a non-conductive surface or test bench to rule out the grounding possibility.

7. Check monitor for video input selection, VGA, DVI, or HDMI.

8. Avoid using any video adapter or KVM switch.

9. Test with different video cable.

10. Clear the CMOS by taking out the CMOS battery from the battery socket, leave it out for 5 minutes and place it back after that (positive side faces up).

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome for the price

Pros: this paired with a Core i3 4130 and 8gb of g.skill 1866 makes for a really nice build .... got this board and cpu in a combo and i have to say with win7 on a Samsung EVO SSD this thing just rocks for what it is .... 14sec boot win7 pro, I'm sure you could get to 5 sec boots with win 8/8.1

Cons: it only has Hdmi, not really an issue as most of the current monitors have the connection, the person i built this for did not so they either had to get a new monitor or in this case I had a 6450 AMD card just sitting around so I threw it in so they would have a dvi connection,

The onboard graphics are actually better than the 6450 so its a shame I had to do that

Other Thoughts: the green led's that illuminate the sound barrier portion of the board also light the underside of the board and give a glow effect around the whole board so with a windowed case it looks really cool if you like green

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: Solid build. Quality components. Gigabyte has performed well for me in the past. Worked out of the box.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Just a solid board for my nephew's rig. Running an i5-4570 Haswell @ 3.2GHz with 8gb of 240-Pin Corsair DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800). Worked first time and has been great since.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Choice

Pros: Reasonable price

Cons: I bought 2 boards for new builds. On one computer USB 2.0 ports are not working. On the other one USB 2 is working but USB 3.0 is not working, and computer goes out with blue screen of death. I Called technical support multiple time but failed to resolve the issues

1 out of 5 eggsBoard was DOA

Pros: Impossible to tell as it was DOA.

Cons: Board was dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: I have gotten an RMA number and will be returning this board, but am not happy about now having to wait for the board to be shipped to California, Newegg to process the return and then another board to be shipped back to me.

1 out of 5 eggsFRUSTRATING

Pros: price/ board has everything needed for a budget pc without needing alot of extra cards

Cons: Spent three days swapping out every component with constant bsod crashes and hdd failers only to find others have had same problem with this board

For Windows Blue Screen of death, please check the following:

1. Check the CPU temperature in Bios to make sure it's within the CPU’s specification, normally it should be around 45-50C.

2. Run memory diagnostic test.

3. If there's add-on card(s), remove it/them from the board to eliminate others possibility.

4. Backup data, attempt to reinstall the operating system on to a spare hard disk drive to eliminate a bad hard disk drive possibility or Windows corruption issue.

1 out of 5 eggsReboot Loop

Pros: none

Cons: After assembling my build using this motherboard, i went for my first boot, which it started up fine, lights turned on, fans spun, disk drives and everything going how it should. Then after 6 seconds it shuts itself off, two seconds later it turns it self back on. Repeating this cycle i couldnt get any output for bios and no beep coming from the machine. After several hour of trying to pin down the problem I concluded that it could only be the motherboard. Furthermore, i took it down into staples, where i work, and had the technician take a look through and he came to the same conclusion i had. This is frustrating because now i have to send it back RMA and wait for a new one. Newegg also wanted me to pay the $29 shipping cost which is completely out of the question. After calling in and waiting on hold for 20 minutes i was finally able to get someone to reverse the charge and pay for express shipping there and back.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay when it works.

Pros: * Low cost
* Decent function for the price

Cons: * First one caused intermittent and hard to diagnose crashes.

Other Thoughts: For a low cost I3 based system this board is at a good price and function point, but it's not fun trying to isolate what's causing Win7 blue screens every fifth reboot. The replacement card is stable so far...
