2 out of 5 eggsCan be better.

Pros: This motherboard is fairly good described perfectly on the website.
APU works perfectly and easily set up. BIOS is well organized.

Cons: This motherboard gave a bunch of problems as well. First, installing was tough with the oddly placed panel. Second, I didn't realize this but this motherboard has only 1 system fan port (and one for the cpu/apu) and I bit of a problem cooling my system although it still managed but just barely. Thirdly is the RAM. I had a couple of problems with the RAM which dramatically decreased my system's performance. For example the max supported dual channel RAM was able to reach was 3.44gbs with the speed of 790 mhz. When I tried running the XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) for higher speed, which is 1600 mhz by my ram, it still failed to reach higher than 790 mhz and even failed to boot up my system once. I know for a fact that this problem is not from ram because I used the same 2 sticks in a different system and they ran perfectly fine.

Other Thoughts: Overall I really wouldn't recommend this motherboard for someone looking for high speeds for gaming and what not because you can get better performance from better motherboards at the same price.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: - I got to see my LED fans light up
- Supports x3 monitors
- Cheap
- Shock resistant

Cons: - DOA

Other Thoughts: This is my first gaming rig (I still have my old Vostro 410 (2008 or so), and decided it was time for an upgrade. I was on a budget (real tight budget) for RAM, a MOBO, and a case for $100 ($30 for the case, but I bought a new one). This, being about $55, seemed like a steal. I looked at the Athlon X4 860k, saw this, bought it almost instantly. It comes in, I plug it in (1100W) PSU, and it's dead. Never buying this motherboard again, and I'll be weary of Gigabyte next time I buy a motherboard.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOTHERBOARD (UNLESS LUCKY)!

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good so far

Pros: It arrived on time not much fanfare. I tried to do a BIOS upgrade only to find I received (rev 3.1) but that isn't much of a big deal really. Install was simple and the BIOS was easy to use for initial installs. It has many options for CPU and Memory.

Cons: None noted as of yet

Other Thoughts: This MOBO works best with FM2+ CPUs. the FM2 will work for basic computing tasks but you do not get 100% of the potential of this board.

2 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Like I put in my last review, it was fairly cheap. That is all I can think off.

Cons: The BIOS isn't very helpful or useful. If I get another board I may go Asus or MSI. It would randomly freeze or not boot. It would also randomly see both sticks of RAM or just one. I sent it back to gigabyte and all they did is flash my BIOS from F3d to F2. I got a new set of RAM thinking that must be the issue, but that wasn't it.

I was able to get it working reliably for the last 2 days after turning off the turbo, overclocking the cpu to 3.8, and disabling AMP and XMP. I hope that it lasts like this and that I won't be forced to buy another motherboard. I would rather spend that money on a better graphics card.

Other Thoughts: I made sure that the second set of RAM modules were compatible and the board was still giving me issues. I updated every driver and pressed the optimized settings in the BIOS. I have a X4 860k processor and a rosewill 550w psu.

2 out of 5 eggsSo-so

Pros: It is fairly cheap and I got it with a cpu combo deal back in april. I was working okay until recently.

Cons: I have had problems with the RAM sockets and tried several combinations of putting the sticks in but it seems to give me no troubles whenever I only have one stick of RAM in it at a time. No matter which slot I have it in, my computer runs fine with only one. I memtested both sticks separately and it looks to me like the board is messed up.

1 out of 5 eggsTwo boards DOA

Pros: None

Cons: Ordered this board for a computer upgrade. It was DOA and wouldn't even POST. Obtained an RMA from Newegg and got another board. It, also, is DOA. Can't get it to POST. Rosewill PSU, G.Skill RAM, AMD Athlon FM2 processor. Seems like many others are having the same problem.

4 out of 5 eggsIf you get one that works, you're in business.

Pros: After reading all the negative reviews about the mobo being DOA, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it anyway.
Thankfully mine posted and has been working beautifully ever since, recognizing the mismatching ram I have in there and all.
There might be better options on the market, but for a single gpu gaming rig (Athlon x4 860k, R7 260x), it seems to be working okay.
I was also wary about bios updates, since I was plopping a refresh cpu in there. My worries were but a waste of time as the board comes pre-updated to support the Kaveri APU's/CPU.

Cons: Not many features, only one PCI-E x16 slot, bios was a bit cluttered

Other Thoughts: I was going for an extreme budget build of $400 USD and I would probably not buy this board again unless I knew it was in working order. Not a bad board at all though.
