Does this motherboard have/come with wifi capability or is that something that has to be purchased separately?

You have to purchase a USB WiFi adapter to access a WiFi network.  Usually at home or work a router provides WiFi management.  Consider if a cable and antenna are need to get line of sight between the wireless access points.  The 2 band AC WiFi is nice for streaming movies.

Question 2

ALL THE REVIEWS ON HERE SAY THIS MOTHERBOARD HAS CPU FAN ISSUES AND POWER ISSUES, SHOULD I BUY THIS?

I had this board running for only a few weeks, but I have not experienced any problems with power or fans. I did spend some time tweaking the fan settings in BIOS. I have experienced some problems with memory, but that seems to have been solved using 2 sticks instead of four (sad, but I will just upgrade to bigger sticks when I can, so not a deal breaker). Overall, I am, so far, very satisfied with this mobo, it's running solid now, and gigabyte has wonderful tech support if you encounter any problems. It has a lot of nice features for the price, so as long as you don't need SLI, it's a good deal.

Question 3

My RAM has some tall heatsinks on them... Will the Cooler Master EVO CPU cooler fit on this motherboard without interfering with my RAM? I only have 2 DIMMs so if I have to put them in the black channel that is fine.

Heya Stephen,

That's a good question.  I haven't measured the clearance between the bottom of the EVO cooler and MoBo and/or RAM.  My RAM is the typical low profile RAM.

But I will say, my fan is facing the opposite direction from my RAM (facing my I.O plate) and facing a fan vent (no fan installed since the EVO fan is facing the back of my tower).  I don't know if that is a possibility for your setup, but that would rule out your taller RAM.

I'll see if I can get a measurement on the EVO clearance from the bottom of the MoBo.

1866 Mhz ram will work on this board without OC?

No, it doesn't support SLI.  From what I understand, SLI requires splitting the PCI lanes, which this board can't do.  Crossfire doesn't require this, so it works just fine.

And i think the max ram speed is 1600.  It will take 1866, but will only run at 1600.
