2 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: Nice style, looks cool but looks can be decieving

Cons: all it did was spend most of my time trying to figure out the prob with it becouse it would alwas reset my computer and make weird noise and so i changed memory and hard drives to figure it out but, it all came down to the motherboard

Other Thoughts: dont buy this board becouse ur going to have problems and ur going to get mad and want to throw this board. so buy like a asus or somthing in that catagory

2 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It recognized my new e8400 after some finagling. It also detected and clocked my DDR3 1333 ram correctly with the new processor and scaled it down with my e6300 before it arrived. Once I got past the POST problem below, it ran stable for 4 or 5 days til I had to shut my PC down to update something.

Cons: The motherboard would not correctly POST. I had to restart my machine 10 to 20 times to get it to POST. Now, two weeks later, I can't get it POST at all. The layout of the board leaves some to be desired. With my 3870X2 in the pcie16 slot it blocks the upper 2 SATA ports. the eSATA ports in the back also account for 2 of the 6 SATA channels on the south bridge, leaving only 2 internal south bridge SATA ports and 1 other SATA port on the board usable with a large video card.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg is an amazing company. In a day and age of poor customer service and abysmal customer satisfaction they stand alone. They RMA'd my new board without trouble and I should have a new one to try out early this week.

2 out of 5 eggsNeed to RMA again!

Pros: Good BIOS layout and very stable so far.

Cons: This board has had some strange problems. First the IDE Controller wouldn't recognize my optical drive on startup so I couldn't load Vista. I RMA'd through NewEgg and got a new one but this one doesn't recognize my SATA drives on a cold boot. I have to restart the computer by shutting off at the power supply.

Other Thoughts: Seems like this would be a great board to overclock, but basic things like IDE and SATA controllers are problematic. I would steer clear, and I'll likely go back to an ASUS board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal, great performance

Pros: This is a great deal for everything that this board supports and it came with everything you could ask for accessory wise. One of the bridges heatsink is DIRECTLY under my nvidia 8800 which was a concern but it doesn't appeart to be a problem...

and NEWEGG rocks. I never write reviews but their service is so quick and so good...I decided to review all things I bought from them.

Cons: One of the bridges heatsink is DIRECTLY under my nvidia 8800 which was a concern but it doesn't appeart to be a problem...

I did have a problem with the processor...the piece of metal that holds the processor in place was bent and considering it was solid steel...was quite a pain to bend it back but I finally did after 2 hours but man for this price it didn't both me a bit.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mobo; Read the instructions!

Pros: Everything, but read the book. Installed using XEON E3110 processor, no problems. Couldn't wait for E8400 to be in stock. Easy install, easy set up. Move the jumpers JB1 and JB2 to change your FSB to 333 Mhz. Kept getting no post, because...... JPW1 and JPW2 or your motherboard weren't run. Everything else was common sense!

Cons: Very few. Even MSI support responded like a flash to my e-mail and my message that I left!

Other Thoughts: Using OCZ Gold 1333Mhz DDR3 memory. This system is just wow!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board - Strange Feature

Pros: Great board. Came right up. Did everything right ALMOST, See the Con. I love the board. Its overclocking control interface in both BIOS and Windows is simply, smooth, and very effective. Lots of feature for the price.

Cons: I almost rated the board down because there is a hard to understand "feature" that probably only effects some DRR3 RAM (I say that because most people don't encounter it and MSI has a hard time admitting its real). As with the "Help ?" review here on Newegg, the board would not drive my DRR3 1333 RAM (Patriot PC3 10666), until I figured out that a board, JB1, had to be physically set to 333MHz before the RAM will achieve 1333. The documention says this is an "optional" setting, and MSI says it's not necessary, BUT I had to move the jumper to achieve 1333 with RAM rated at 1333. I guess "optional" means something different in Taiwan than California.

Other Thoughts: Bottom Line: I still love the board. With JB1 set correctly, it screams. Generally MSI makes solid boards. Newegg rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing board!!! but.....

Pros: Great board mine was DOA but MSI rma'd it within 2 days, which is just flat out impressive. Overclocking is a breeze, and incredibly stable.

Cons: Ok so I have the same board except mine uses ddr2, but i noticed the layout is the same. The layout isn't to bad for single slot video cards however I recently purchased an 8800GTS 512 which I must say is amazing, but it completely coves the top left sata port which is horrible considering I have five hard drives (had to buy a PCI sata controller :( .).

Other Thoughts: Great board I simply didn't plan to upgrade video card, silly me.
