4 out of 5 eggsPowers on, then off, then stays on

Pros: nice design, love the heatpipe cooling, easy build, good manual.

Cons: My machine has one strange quirk, When I power it on, it shuts off for about 2 seconds, then it powers up and runs fine. Not quite sure if its the motherboard or maybe the PS.

Other Thoughts: Using a Q6600 cpu, Zalman 9500 heatsink, 4gigs of 800 g skill ram, WD 150raptor, WD 320gig, Pny 8800gt video card, 2 LG DVD burners, Soundblaster Audigy, a Rosewill 600watt pwr supply, and a coolermaster case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, basic board

Pros: Bought this as a budget gamer solution for kid. No problems, straight forward...it's not bleeding edge, but came up and runs intel E7200 natively (main reason for purchase, no chip swaps or bios upgraes to get it to recognize the E7200, many board expect you to boot with some other cpu, upgrade the bios and swap in the new CPU, argh, how dumb is that?) Took Vista x64 no problems.

Cons: Layout is kind of weak, single x16 PCI...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Wery easy to work with. The manual is clear and very helpful. Has a lot of connections. Accomodated the 6 USB on my case's front pane with no problem:) I am not an OCer, but it has a great potential for OC. Works great.

Cons: Do not get it if you want Crossfire, because only one PCIE is 16x. Also, like everybody else mentioned previously, the layout could be better. Big GPU will block 2 SATA ports. Not a problem yet since it has several others, but it could be later. No DDR3 support.

Other Thoughts: Price is good. Has a lot of features. Performance is great and it is easy to work with. What more can you ask for?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: Great board. It ran my Q6600 without any problems. It has good cooling and some pretty good features. A ton of SATA ports. Overclocks well. Good board for the buck

Cons: When I first tried to get the system going the first SATA port I plugged my hard disk into didn't work. I had several more though so it wasn't really an issue. I don't know if the hard disk or the motherboard caused the problem either...The front panel audio connector is on the back end of the board and my cable doesn't quite reach.

Other Thoughts: There was a sticker on the board that said P35 Neo2. I peeled it off and it said P35 platinum...
Now it has free shipping...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Great board, Very fast!! No problems so far.
Have faith in MSI products. Runs 1066 Memory very well. Also very stable. Had my quad 2.66 running at 3Ghz and seemed pretty stable. Still ran my games.
Keep in mind I do have a Ninja CPU cooler.

Cons: Can't think of anything bad about this board. Have had no problems.

3 out of 5 eggsGood board, awful support

Pros: Board works well, heatpipe system cools well as long as you have some airflow

Cons: Board powers on and off 2 or 3 times every time you start or restart it. Support is a joke, they're closed all weekend and then simply redirects to voicemail on Monday morning. No one answers any extensions. The online support form is broken.

Other Thoughts: 4 stars for the board, zero for MSI staff in California

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the price

Pros: Board is solid, no problems booting my Q6600 out of the box. the heatpipe colling for the chipset is above average.

Cons: Two of the SATA connectors are blocked if using a long graphics card like the 8800 GTS or 9 series. Not a big deal unless you are using a ton of SATA drives.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with the quality of the board for the price, MSI made a fan out of me.

5 out of 5 eggsBest board ive owned

Pros: Great, great motherboard, the best ive owned. The heatpipe cooling solution is A+, after overclocking and running Prime95 for an hour the northbridge, southbridge, and mosfet blocks are barely warm, almost seems the board isnt even turned on. Great overall layout for me, has FIVE 3 pin fan headers which are perfectly located for a Raidmax Smilidon case, or any case with 2 side door fans, 2 front and 1 rear. Ive been very successful in overclocking my Q6600, and the vdroop is very minimal on this board according to CPU-z.

Cons: Not really a con for me as I dont personaly have this problem, but the SATA header location can be a problem with some people using say a 9800GX2, or Crossfire. But you shouldnt be running Crossfire with this board anyways, the 2nd PCIe slot is only 4x.

Other Thoughts: Highly recomend this board for anybody that wants a solid gaming machine for a great price. There is no need for a X38/X48 board or a 780i, those boards do not offer better overclocks, espically the Nvidia boards. They are tacking on the extra $100+ on those boards for the PCIe 2.0 which is completely worthless right now as the bandwidth limitation hasnt even been met with standard PCIe 1.1.
