4 out of 5 eggsPretty good, a couple things went out

Pros: HDMI is nice, but it doesn't hook up well to my 50" Sony TV - seems like it doesn't like widescreen but maybe that's my problem.

Cons: The onboard network port went out after about a year, had to get an NIC. I've also had one of the 4 USB ports go out.

4 out of 5 eggsG41TM-E43

Pros: Great Price
Fast shipping
Works Great

Cons: No firewire
My case has front outputs for firewire but it wasnt available on this board

Other Thoughts: This board fired up without a problem

5 out of 5 eggsMSI G41TM Motherboard

Pros: Very easy to install; Worked as it should; No problems
at all of any kind. Like the overclock switch.

Cons: None;

Other Thoughts: Easy to over clock; easy to adjust back to OEM; Just
follow the handbook for the switch settings.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Pleased...

Pros: The installation was simple. powered up as expected. Win7 installation went great. The Audio is fantastic thru the HDMI/Yamaha receiver. Other than that, see below...

Cons: HDMI colors are very washed out. BIOS is a joke. No memory voltage adjustment. The onboard OC switch is almost useless. Other settings are basic. Intels speedstep technology can't be disabled. When I updated windows, the new video driver rendered the HDMI useless. Had to revert back to original driver.

Other Thoughts: I have to say that I didn't purchase this mobo thru Newegg. I wish I had read the reviews on newegg prior to my local purchase, however. The only reason for the 2 eggs, was the installation and the audio. Other than that? Well find another solution...

1 out of 5 eggspcie slot is no good

Pros: everything works well and out of the box except for the 1 con i have so far.

Cons: internal hdmi/dvi shuts down anytime you plug in a pcie device regardless of which video setting you choose in bios, in this case i have chosen internal video.
this would be fine if the pcie device is a video card but in my case it's a raid card.
so basically what happen is if i plug in a pcie raid card, with having either an hdmi or dvi cable plugged into the motherboards respective port (with internal video chosen in the video setting under bios), then i will get no POST.

Other Thoughts: i have tried using the 3 different video settings with my raid card plugged in to no avail. the raid card works on my other computer so i know that's not the problem.
if i plug a pcie video card into the pcie slot and choose pcie as the vid source it works just fine so i know the problem isn't with the motherboard slot.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value for the price

Pros: This motherboard has done almost all that was advertised. It worked well right out of the box and there was no problem getting the going with 64 bit Windows 7 (no drivers needed off of the MSI CD to get started). Basically stable.

Cons: The built in video failed on me after a while, but that was due to me installing a Windows update which contained an update to the chipset and something went wrong during the update. I was going to install my video card anyway and since I did, I've had great video.

Other Thoughts: I don't care much about the HDMI capability, just wanted a stable motherboard to run my 3.16 processor, Windows 7 64 bit, and 4 GB of memory. It has behaved admirably - does miss a step. I also like that there are connectors for two case fans in addition to the CPU fan. MSI Customer support is great. They respond to your web email inquiry with a day or two every time and patiently answer any question you have.

4 out of 5 eggsMissing WireFire 1394

Pros: I bought this one to replace an Asus mobo P5GC-MX1333 that went dead (with a POST message USB overcharged, the system will shutdown in 15 seconds) after 6 months of intensive video and graphic editing. To my very surprise, after all hardwares were moved to this new mobo, my computer starts up smoothly like nothing has changed with all my applications intact.

Online BIOS update is very easy, just a mouse click and that's it.
CPU overclocking integration on board is also a plus, but I didn't try it yet, will get back to post it later.

Memory upgrade-able from 4GB on 667 to 8GB on 800 is also a plus just in case you want more juice for your gear.

Didn't try HDMI yet, I am connecting HDMI tru my video card nvidia 9600 GT, flawlessly on my second screen 250 inches projector without any problem.

Cons: False advertising!!! there is an oulet for 1394 connection on board, but NO PINS on it. First thought, I want to return this board asap but restraint due to lack of time, and my curiosity to see of how it works.

Other Thoughts: Hey MSI, you have to QA your product better to gain people trust.

2 out of 5 eggsHDMI issue

Pros: It's cheap, intel IGP with HDMI out (including audio).
Price is ok.

over VGA cable (limited to 720p), 2gb ram and E6600:
Hulu at high is crisp with no noticeable stutter
XBMC plays 1080p (stretched inside 720p) videos nicely with minimal post-processing visible (de-int, etc)
ran dark knight, band of brothers, iron man blu-ray discs with no stutter on 720p (can't use 1080p.. the colors washes-out at that resolution)

survived a thunderstorm+power outage/surge.

Cons: Using Win7 with 2Gb DDR2-800/E6600

(At the time of writing) Issues with latest intel igp drivers when using HDMI/DVI. HDMI gives un-usable signal on my sony bravia. DVI sends no signal to my lcd monitor.

Not using the latest drivers (or plain using generic drivers) gives you a non-HDCP system. So cyberlink powerdvd will not play any blu-ray discs.

Color looks faded and spills over when using 1080p and would not show anything at 1080p/24bit.

since i can't use the hdmi with the latest intel drivers, i can't test if it can atleast send 7.1ch lpcm to the AVR.

Other Thoughts: at the time i bought this board, none of the "other" 9300/9400 chipset boards was available.

the available pci-e would be a great host to a discrete video card that supports hdmi 1.3/bitstreaming like the 5570. which is available on newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Overclock. Can't boost voltage

Pros: Decent board except I can't overclock an E7500 past 3.2
because even after updating to the latest BIOS it doesn't allow for voltage boosting to the CPU.
Pretty unbelievable even for a budget mobo.

Cons: see above

Other Thoughts: If someone can tell me where I missing the Voltage Boost in the BIOS I would greatly appreciate it but I don't think there is one.

3 out of 5 eggsBEWARE

Pros: Decent board for a NON GAMER MICRO ATX build.

Cons: The PCI EXPRESS slot is in fact a x16 slot but it only runs at a x4.
