2 out of 5 eggsGood enough for the HTPC, but not much else

Pros: Plenty of internal connections. Could've used a Firewire header, just for completeness. Even Parallel and COM port headers.
Easiest CPU/Fan installation in a long time.

Cons: BIG con: Only one DIMM slot seems to work, DIMM4. I've tried changing the voltages and different RAM modules, but no joy. All memory tested was off of MSI's Compatibility chart from their own website.

Other Thoughts: Mine shipped with 1.3 version of the BIOS, so keep that in mind when choosing your CPU and memory.
Normally I would RMA the board, but the low memory requirements of this HTPC box (along with the pain of stuffing it into the SFF case I used..not the boards' fault, though) will mean I'll just deal with it as long as it lasts.

3 out of 5 eggsit works

Pros: booted right up works with corsair xms

Cons: very annoying problem that still hasn't been fixed.
if you run with speedstep enabled everything works fine but if you turn it off the board will override the vcore settings resulting in a cpu overvolt. also with speedstep off resuts in horrible vdroop.

Other Thoughts: wouldn't buy again.

2 out of 5 eggsh55m-ed55

Pros: good price point, good features, msi!

Cons: random blue screens and reboots, also likes to lockup at bios load screen. sometimes it cannot find the hard drive and have tested the system with 3 different hard drives - all with the same random problem, i also tested different ports and wires. purchased about 4 months ago.

Other Thoughts: i'm lost now, built the system for my GF as a present but is now just a headache.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: -Easy install to my Midtower case
-Easy to use Bio's
-Great heat control with my OC Proccessor
-Just amazing price

Cons: -None so far plan to keep purchacing from MSI

Other Thoughts: -Im running an overclocked i3 540 at 4.09Ghz, i had to manualy do this in the bio's. i originaly used the OC Genie but it would only go to 3.5Ghz and not adjust the voltage so i manualy went in and did the OC myself it was super easy and i perfer to do it that way anyways.

4 out of 5 eggsIssues with my memory

Pros: The board has a great look, and comes with some neat features. The bios is nicely set up and I like that there are so may power saving settings.

Cons: For some reason I am having some problems with my memory... I have 4 gigs of memory but for some reason it is only letting me use 3.7 something. I have a dedicated graphics card, and I have it set in the BIOS to use the PCI-E card slot for the graphics. For some reason though in Windows 7 (64bit) it says that it is reserving some for hardware. I did my research and found that it had happened before.... I just can't find a fix anywhere.

2 out of 5 eggsBad

Pros: Was hoping for the best for this Motherboard as a low price gaming computer, but nothin but problems this will be my second computer witch turned out to be a nightmare. i spent $300 less on my first and it blew this one out of the water...

Cons: Had, this motherboard for 4-5 months. Nothin but problems. Blue Screens, random restarts, Freezing would love to go on but i will stop there. OC Genie didnt work from the start. Computer wouldnt start up. So i went in n overclocked it myself.

Other Thoughts: Maybe someone can help me out.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine in Linux

Pros: Using a Core i3, ethernet, audio, and graphics work fine in Linux. I connected 2 1600x1200 monitors to the DVI and HDMI ports (using HDMI->DVI cable) and everything worked in Linux (Fedora 14) using the default settings. Both monitors came up and I can move windows from one to another with no tweaking.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood first time board

Pros: -Installation was easy
-Layout was mostly good (see cons)
-Good selection of ports

Cons: -The first PCIe slot seems very close to the RAM holders. When I put my gCard in I almost could get the RAM clips down.
-For me, the BIOs was acting a little funny. I'm not super technically advanced but I couldn't (and still can't) enter the BIOS. I can't get rid of the ugly splash screen or check
on my system stats... and that Winki thing is just dumb.
-Sparse instructions.

Other Thoughts: Overall I like this board. Maybe I'm just being stupid about the BIOS and Setting etc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC product

Pros: Booted up first time no problems. Using for an HTPC setup and the HDMI out worked no problems. Also using s/pdif to receiver without any issues. Core I3 integrated video is outputting to my 50" 720p plasma and it looks great watching Hulu and Netflix HD content.

Cons: No Firewire jumper on board so I have a useless front port on my nmediaPC 5000b case. But I knew that going in so...

Other Thoughts: Couldn't have asked for a better HTPC board. Plugged it in and it worked. Running Windows 7 64.
