1 out of 5 eggsFlakey as with every other MSI board I've owned/installed..

Pros: Cheap..

Cons: Boot-up HD detection takes forever.
IDE controlers routinely fail.
Flash BOIS settings reset several times, even after battery replaced.

Pros: everything.... dual DDR slots, AMD 64 compatible. Cheap. and best of all... AWESOME customer service.. so i waited to give my review on this for a year but i got this mo bo around feb last year currently run an AMD 3700+ on it. NB chipset went bad emailed MSI within 4 mins they sent me an email sayin they will send me a replacement. thats all that matters...

Cons: none as of yet.

Other Thoughts: I would seiously suggest this to anyone who need a cheap and lasting mobo especially for AMD 64 socket 754.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Board

Pros: Solid Board, excellent layout and value for any budget system. Everything you need to get started.

Cons: what cons?

Other Thoughts: I used this board in a budget system for my mother and younger sisters. I have always found MSI products to be of the HIGHEST quality. Used this board with AMD Athlon 64 2800+ Newcastle, 512MB (2x256MB) GeIL Value RAM, and 80GB Western Digital SATA Hard Drive. Works Beautifully. Thanks NEWEGG!

3 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: Cheap

Cons: AGP lever too close to IDE

Other Thoughts: If this arrives dead for you, as it did for me, you have to RMA it through MSI and not NewEgg. I finally have a working one after about a month of the initial shipment received, because MSI is slow and I had to ship from NJ to California.

5 out of 5 eggsalmost fully upgraded

Pros: when i got it almost a year ago it was one of the best, now my comp can stil blow out any game.

Cons: the MAIN flaw i found was it dont run dual ch, and the onboard sound is not the best....
the "dot" dynamic overclocking tech feture fried my old 9800pro, but i bought a new x800 and turned that feture off and no problems

Other Thoughts: great cheap mobo with little probs but will fill up fast and is out of date now......

1 out of 5 eggsDead after flashing

Pros: Newegg had this shipped perfectly ontime as usual.

Cons: I'm sorry I didnt read some of the reviews here and steer away from this product.

I replaced a glitchy Asus mobo with this one. I had this installed and working wonderfully in console mode. Getting graphics to work was glitchy. I was narrowing the problem to the AGP driver. I also noticed that the BIOS version shipped on this mobo was version 5.00 (2 years old). On their web site I saw 7.00.

I have had BIOS upgrades in the past (with other manufacturers) fix a plethora of problems. This flash upgrade created a dead mobo. It ran to conclusion.. Dumped me back to the DOS prompt on the floppy. Turned it off. Turned it on and ... nothing.... dead.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard

Pros: I've had this motherboard for about 8 months and had no problems with it. Red color looks great with my red msi video card. The dynamic overclocking is pretty neat to play with although i don't really use it.

Cons: I wish it had more room for memory expansion. World of Warcraft seems to need a ton of ram.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: MB is colorful

Cons: MB arrived DOA. MSI Techsupport had me on the hold for an hour, only to pass me to an answering machine, on the second call they hung up on me while on hold.

3 out of 5 eggsProblem with AGP

Pros: Simple to install. Price is okay.

Cons: 2 DIMM slots that cannot support 2xDouble Sided RAM. Poor Overclocking ability. Problem with VIA 4-in-1 driver and AGP.

Other Thoughts: The biggest problem is the VIA 4-in-1 driver. I cannot get "AGP Texture Acceleration" to work correctly (using DXDIAG). There are random crashes and artifacts when playing 3D games. MSI is good, but I don't like the VIA chipset.
