5 out of 5 eggsGreat MAtx Board

Pros: This is one great board for an HTPC build or a Mainstream Computer. This board does have some overclocking capability but don't look for a stable overclock at higher frequencies. This board is made for a mainstream computer and isn't meant as a gaming overclockable board. Although it does over it I haven't really tried to use this feature as this is mainly used as a mainstream everyday pc. Great power LED feature, one of the very few that offers two color Standby and Powered On indicator lights using a three prong Power /Standby header.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Had to make a bi color Headered Power/Standby LED for my Case so I can utilized this unique feature on this board. Nice to see the Case light up blue on Standby and White when powered on.

4 out of 5 eggsno rea complaints..

Pros: size, I was looking for mATX, features and nice price.
seems durable and well built, not flaky.
BIOS.
plenty of fan headers.
who said the non P series board couldn't overclock.? check this out..
SATA 6Gb/s.

Cons: added clips for connectivity (HDD, LED's, PWRRST. PWRSWT) should already be labeled on board and ready to go.

Other Thoughts: i3-2120

2 out of 5 eggsGreat features, if only it worked

Pros: 4 memory slots, ample space for processor and cards despite being mATX.

Cons: Didn't respond to power or anything.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to go in a new computer I was building, arrived DOA. Therefore, very disappointing.

4 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC board

Pros: Good balance of features and price for an H67 HTPC MB.
• When coupled with a CPU w/embedded GPU, the HDMI port outputs video and 7.1 THX-certified audio. No problems with my Denon 3808ci.
• Some useful bundled software. Includes an app for tracking and downloading the latest versions of utilities and drivers.

Cons: • Board had an older BIOS version that didn't support the Celeron G530 chip I ordered with it. I had to purchase an older i3-2100 to get the board to POST. Now I'm stuck with a G530!
• Supplied SATA cables are difficult to disconnect from the board. Other cables I used were easy to connect/disconnect.

Other Thoughts: If the board is equipped with a CPU that is too new for the BIOS, it will not POST. You will have no access to the BIOS settings and there is no way to update the BIOS to get it to support the CPU. A bit of a catch-22.

If you install a too-new-CPU first, then install an older supported one, the board may still refuse to POST. In my case, the board would power on, then off, and continue to cycle. The fix was to remove the CMOS battery, re-install, and try again. I left the battery out for about 15 minutes - I don't recall what MSI recommends.
I have to tell you, it's a great feeling when the board finally POSTs after all that hassles, and fears that I had a bad board.

If you think you have a bad board, you might just have an old BIOS and too new a CPU!

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Probably would have been a good motherboard.

Cons: Doesn't support Sandy Bridge CPU's without a bios flash. The MSI website doesn't make this clear. Don't buy this with only Sandy Bridge CPU's on hand or you won't get it to post.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 3 eggs because MSI fails to make CPU support clear. Their website says it supports Sandy Bridge CPU's, but with a little bit of clicking, you can find out that's not accurate. It is capable of Sandy Bridge support, but needs a bios flash to do so.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent MB

Pros: Decent Mb for the price. Installed in my first system build with no problems.

Cons: One downside is that I could not directly install my old IDE hard drives becuase this MB only supports SATA. I didn't catch this when I decided on this purchase. Oh well.

Other Thoughts: Newegg website states that this MB supports a max of 32GB DDR3. Manual that is supplied with the MB states that only 16GB is supported. I ran a system check through Crucial's website to verify that indeed 32GB is the max. that can be supported.
Manual is fairly well written out for a first-time builder.

2 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Theoretically this board should do everything that I need

Cons: BUT... it was DOA, no video output at all (either onboard or drop-in), assuming that it is not posting.
